Today was visiting a friend in San Mateo, two hours early, so decided to look around and see what was available.
Entered and the staff greeted me, they had availability, usually I call to make sure they could accommodate me. The staff was friendly and greeted me cheerfully.
Enter the room, looked clean and tidy. I got ready on the bench, told my masseuse that I had some tightness and sore legs.
She took care of all my knots, gave good attention to my legs as I asked. I do believe that I fell asleep, was such a relaxing experience.
Will definitely come here again, now one of my locations that will visit when in the area, bookmarked.

From beginning to end Maria was amazing! He felt comfortable, he let the cape be put on him and he even let the razor near his ears and back of his neck. He loved it, and he looks fantastic. Long overdue to write about my experiences with Dinna. I've had too many people in the Bay Area mess up my hair--they don't know how to dye or do a nice haircut. I promise I'm not asking for much. I showed her my hair in its natural state and told her what I was looking for and need to keep it low maintenance as I work a lot and being a mom. She knew exactly what to do and takes her time with you. She made my hair look Instagrammable. Also, conversing with her is so natural and doesn't feel forced--most salons it's so awkward and I'm like just get my hair did and done lol. Her prices are reasonable and I got compliments by everyone at work and home. Can't wait to come back for a touch up.

I just got my hair done by Keira and I don't think it's socially acceptable to openly love it THIS much! I went in with thinning hair needing a change. I told her that I was pretty low maintenance and needed something that wouldn't require a lot of styling. She listened to what I needed and did exactly that! The salon itself is in a perfect location with plenty of parking and the decor is just stunning. Everyone is so nice and friendly making the overall experience a 10/10. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for fabulous change :)

Santos is an artist and I am picky about my barber. I only drive to Santa Clara from Hayward if Santos is booked and I plan poorly to my old go to spot. I drive from Hayward to San Mateo typically on Sundays to get a fresh cut every two weeks. I am very happy with Santos and highly recommend him for your fades and cuts. He is my go to barber!

I went with my mom to get a gel mani and gel pedi. Service was great and they were patient about our indecision on colors. They cut my nails a little shorter than I liked, but good service overall. I suggest being very specific about the length and shape you want.

They always do a great job. I get a pedicure with polish. There have been a few times I have had an ingrown toe nail and they have been able to remove the ingrown part.

Water Nails is my go to place for nails. Tony and his crew are absolutely amazing. They do such a fantastic job with nails, not only with the design.. but also with the quality. My nails grow out without being brittle or the polish chipping at all.
They humor me with my ideas and if I am even remotely unsatisfied, Tony will take his time to fix and make sure I leave with a smile on my face. Highly recommended!

I'm picky and have seen a lot of friends and family get very bad eyebrows. For a good job, I think you need great ink that doesn't fade into a strange red or blue color, and very importantly, a professional who has the artistic ability to make you look good. Every face is unique and mine is not symmetrical so finding someone who can make it look more symmetrical without being weird can be tough - takes me a while to do my own makeup! I finally settled with Anna and have come back to do a touch up a few years later. Even my facialist it's said it looks natural and is well done. It makes getting ready in the mornings so easy. I wholeheartedly recommend Anna.

This was my first time in this studio as I had been researching places near me on Yelp. Lisa was super nice and very informative, she educated me on lash upkeep and hygiene which I really appreciated having that knowledge upfront. I did the classic set and really love how she worked the lashes to the shape of my eyes. I've had so many compliments already from family, friends, co-workers and even strangers! She sent me home with a nice little care package that had a sample lash shampoo, cleaning swabs and brushes. Great experience, I highly recommend this studio!

She is a very excellent hairstylist. She will explain everything you need to know about hair care and maintenance. She is also very experienced in cutting your hair into a style of your choice. The shop is clean and they have a nail bar in the shop as well which is excellent! The salon is in an excellent location which makes it cool if you need to pick up a few things at the grocery store or you just want a . I definitely will be back.

She is not only super accommodating with bookings and very fair with pricing, but she is just overall amazing as what she does and you can tell she loves doing it. When I first met her I has calcium deposits similar to "ball like white heads" under my eyes (VERY close to my eyeball) that a dermatologist would charge crazy amount to get rid of and she did it in only a session or two. After that I was so impressed I never saw anyone else. She always makes me feel so warm and welcome and I've been seeing her for YEARS. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my skin. I see Anna for men’s facials and microdermabrasion, and she does an excellent job every time. Anna owns the business, and she’s the only esthetician available. She’s very nice, professional, and always makes the experience comfortable. Scheduling is super easy through Schedulicity, and so far, she’s always been on time with her appointments—I’ve never had to wait because she was running behind. She also sells her own skincare products but is never pushy about it or makes you feel obligated to buy them. I always leave feeling refreshed and confident in my skin. Highly recommend her services!

Allen T. was very professional and on time for Bob style hair cuts twice now. We were in total communications. The Semi-perm hair coloring I had in between the 2 hair cuts could be improved though. I thought Allen was suppose to ask me what color I wanted first. Instead, he chose a semi-perm hair color that was, as it turned out, right for me. The location was good for me and the place was clean & spacious. The hair cuts, especially the 2nd one, were the right length for me & the sideway bangs allowed me to dry without pins or hairspray to hold in place! Love that!
I've had maybe two expensive facials in my entire life... at least I thought I had. After a ton of research on yelp and through various sites, I decided on Halee based on reviews and prompt availability. Now I finally learned what a real facial is. Let's break this down by stars. Star #1: Scheduling: prompt, clear and concise communication. Was super easy scheduling an appointment. Star #2: Atmosphere. Quaint, light, relaxing and inviting. It's a medium sized room within a facility and everything was cute, sassy, organized, and super clean. Minimalistic and concise equipment that all looked modern and updated. Bed was extremely comfortable, heated, and there was a proper place to put your things. Sudden extreme comfort coming here. Naps are a risk factor. Star #3: flexibility. I didn't know exactly what I needed, but I was able to schedule 3 services: facial (of some kind. I was originally thinking microdermabrasion) lash lift, and teeth whitening (wasn't sure if I needed it). There was no charge in changing the services I ended up receiving. Star #4: knowledgable. Halee impressed me as soon as I arrived. She told me what to expect and when I admit I was naive to facials, skin care etc. she told me she would take a look at my skin and let me know what she thought. The way she explained everything made me realize the magnitude of how much there is to know about products, skin, reactions, results and more. I have never in my life been more fascinated about skin care and the depth of the cosmetology world. It's amazing. Star #5: results. Halee advised me not to do the microdermabrasion facial because my thin skin would react negatively and because my concerns of hyperpigmentation were mild. Instead she gave me a cleansing facial and in the end... my face looked waaaaay more even toned, clear, bright and vibrant. I felt I looked 5 years younger afterwards and my face felt so hydrated and healthy the remainder of the day. Even days later it feels great and I've received many compliments already. In general, people often tell me I look 10 years younger than I am, but now I really feel like I do which has been such a positive lift to my confidence. I literally did not know a facial could do that. Speaking of lifts, the lash lift is something I will 100% continue to do. Instantly larger more open and youthful eyes. I look forward to returning for my next one in a couple of months. As for the teeth whitening, Halee didn't recommend it. She said my teeth are fairly white from the products I use at home already so results from the treatments would probably be minimal. Which leads to the final star.. Star #6: Genuineness. I wish I could give a 6 star rating because Halee truly deserves it. She absolutely wants the best for her clients and will go above and beyond to care for them, advise them, and get to know them. I was (and still am) very naive to skin care, however Halee has helped me so much by pointing me to products (not upselling but actually making recommendations for my type of skin) and I am so appreciative to have an expert in skincare I can turn to. So so so grateful I met her and I look forward to working with her again and again. Thank you Halee!!!
I like to get a massage every so often from a different place. I was hesitant to try her but gave it a shot. Started off rough as the lady charged me twice and had to wait a few minutes until another lady came to straighten it out. They did and I went to the room and got prepared for the massage. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lady gave me a very thorough massage and I was happy. She worked my back well as I am very stiff from Parkinson’s. Was one of the best massages I have received in the last year. I recommend this place and will be back.

I came here once before about 8 years ago for a massage. I don’t know why I remembered they had prenatal massage but I did. Fast forward to now, I’m pregnant with my first and she is killing my sciatica!
There is only one therapist that does prenatal massage and she is pure MAGIC!
Upon arrival, the check in sheet is thorough so you are guaranteed to receive the type of service you prefer. I love massage therapy and as a preschool teacher of 16 years, rely on self care to keep me going. Dacy is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had! This was my third time back and this last massage included many firsts. First, I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! I’ve never felt so relaxed. Second, no one has ever been able to touch/massage my feet. I am wayyyyy too ticklish and natural body movements kick in… literally. I can’t control my legs and feet and someone is bound to get hurt. Lastly, I was bit by a dog and have nerve damage from the injury. It is painful when touched certain ways. Not for Dacy, she was able to work the damaged tissue without pain and now I have more range of motion with that muscle tissue. She is able to pin point problem spots and use just the right amount of pressure to help relax and relieve pain. A combination of targeted muscle work with a full body work up. AMAZING!!! Dacy, thank you for being this pregnant mama’s savior!!
Had a great massage and it was very nice to deal with the staff there. Was not expecting such a great massage but I was glad I did. Made an appointment and the knew who I was when I walked in the door. Massage bed was very comfortable.

I had such a great experience here the other day! Booked it as a treat for myself after I passed an exam and now contemplating turning it into a regular maintenance activity. My skin glowed so nicely afterwards and it was so relaxing. I was a little scared of the extractions (first time doing them) but it didn’t hurt too much - just made my eyes water when it got to my nose.

Got my first large tattoo of my baby Jackie from Jia, and the experience was amazing! Her website was very informative for prep and aftercare. She was also responsive to my emails. The studio itself was clean and organized, and has lots of street parking options. Jia was very intent on following what I wanted for the placement, size, and color/shading. The 2.5 hours we spent was fairly charged, and I was comfortable throughout the session. She's definitely now my go-to for my next tatt, and I've been recommending her to all my friends. Thanks Jia!

When I was dealing with a botched construction job, Mark was a fantastic source of knowledge. When no one else could provide the information I needed, he freely shared his expertise and offered helpful tips from his professional experience. Mark was a bright light amid a sea of 'yes-men' and idiocy.
Elite Rooter sent their technician Oscar. Oscar worked like a well-oiled machine. He was a one-man team 90% of the time. He did almost all the hard work by himself, from inspecting and identifying the blockage, up to final clean up. He hardly rested – he had so much energy. When we had questions, he knew the answers (except for the pricing), and he always answered with a smile. He really knew his craft. Next time we have any plumbing issue (hopefully never), we will definitely ask for Oscar.
Dittman has helped us during several emergencies with our cursed bathrooms and our neighbors too. They have made a case for more serious fixes and thanks to them we most likely will have it done once things are coordinated with our HOA. We've dealt with different members of their team and this time Don and Junior came out. They were "locked in" and at the same time kept a pleasant customer focused attitude. They were mindful not to make a mess and made sure any pieces removed/replaced were cleanly reinstalled. As much as they were careful in how they did their work, what stands out to me with Dittman, is how their team have really good people-to-people skills. In a trades job it makes a surprising amount of difference and that's why I figured I'd drop a review because that really stood out to me. So if you want a team that will be fair in the process, respectful of your property, provides pleasant service, and is professional with the way they start and end a job -- Dittman is it. They came through for us and if I happen to ever move around town, I'd be happy to use them again.

When the Museum attic unit started leaking into what could have gone through the ceiling of the 2nd floor, we appreciated the prompt same day service. It was not cheap, but you get what you pay for and we really appreciated PCHS being able to accommodate our schedule, and Roy and his assistant were fantastic, and now the museum is deliciously cool, and most importantly our museum will remain at a safe temperature for our artifacts.

i don't often review but john deserves one. i had an issue with 2 burners on my stove, enough that i couldn't youtube fix it myself. john came out, already had parts ordered, confirmed his diagnosis he had partially guessed from my call and fixed it quickly. he was personable, happy to explain his work to a curious home owner (me!) and very conscientious of the clock. super trust worthy. would recommend and use him again for any of my appliances. well worth the fair fee. felt like a transaction of the past, knowledgeable, friendly, fair and efficient. many thanks john

My son was injured playing basket ball few months ago and ended up with ACL surgery. He is in a recovery mode with physical therapy. In the process he was facing hip alignment issue due to which he was not able to perform his physical therapy exercises. We visited Dr. Andrew for treating his hip alignment issue and to get a overall check with his leg issue. I must say Dr. Andrew has a deep knowledge with sports related injuries, he exactly knew what the issue was and performed the treatment to align the hip and worked on the overall muscles around the leg area to provide relief.
Dr.Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated in what he does. He not only performs the treatment, also explains the process and what to expect from the treatment and how it can help. We found our self an excellent Chiropractor and will be visiting Dr.Andrew for all our future needs. I would strongly recommend Dr.Andrew for any chiropractic needs.
I first went to see Dan several years ago for a severe case of tennis elbow. Before being referred to Dan, I tried several other treatments (physical therapy, acupuncture, other chiropractoc services) and none worked. Dan and Active Release Technique did what the other treatments could not. He healed my tennis elbow and also addressed other concerns (neck, shoulder) that needed chiropractic attention. He does so in a very gentle manner and with a lot of guidance and tips for things to do in between visits. Fast forward to now when I have another case of tennis elbow. Dan was my first call. I was so pleased to find out that he still uses ART and has the same pleasant personality to make appointments such a pleasure. Highly highly recommended.

I have seen both Dr. Elise Hamilton and Dr. Ryan Hamilton at different times in my life and can confidently recommend both of them.
I recently started seeing Dr. Elise during my second trimester of pregnancy as I was having pelvic and lower back pain that affected my walking ability and being able to complete my everyday tasks. Dr. Elise came recommended to me due to her prenatal knowledge and I am so glad I decided to come and see her. After our first sessions my pain went away and I have felt so much better overall as not being able to walk comfortably was affecting much more than just my physical. I found relief in knowing she is a practitioner I can trust and wish I would have came to her sooner in my pregnancy!
Finally a chiropractor who doesn’t just crack you the same way every time. Dr. Donovan listens and adjusts his treatment to specifically address your condition. The active release technique prior to the adjustment has worked wonders on me since I am not easy to adjust. I strongly recommend checking him out.

Dr. Sutter & his staff are truly Godsent. Dr. Sutter is very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. He has been looking after our pets for quite some time now, and continues to amaze us with his skills. I have a pretty big pack at home, and they all are patients at this clinic. My kitten had a recent surgery with Dr. Sutter to have his injured eye removed. I felt very at ease knowing my little guy was in the best hands. I have another adult cat that has been Dr. Sutters patient for quite some time, and he always provides great care and recommendations during annual visits. Our two dogs also are quite nervous around people, but they absolutely love Dr. Sutter and his technicians. They are so loving and gentle to them, truly treating them as if they were their own pets. His staff is absolutely wonderful, and kind. All of my interactions with them have been positive, and supportive. I am so glad we found this clinic, and Dr. Sutter. I give them all my strongest recommendation, and appreciation for their wonderful work.
We have been seeing Dr. Magnar for acupuncture at the clinic and are very happy with the care our dog has been receiving. His is a complex case and there is no magic pill, but the fact that he is always eager to go to and resistant to leaving the clinic after each session says a lot about the way he is treated there :)

They're incredibly amazing. It's hard for me to express it in a review (I rarely ever write reviews), but I'll try my best.
1. They're incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. One very recent example was when they caught the early kidney disease in my cat! She didn't have any signs/symptoms, but her bloodwork showed otherwise. We (me and my cat) are so grateful to the doctor and the staff for all their help with her diagnosis.
2. The pricing is fair unlike other vets in the area. Before becoming a patient here, I took my cats to a different vet. There, the doctor made it pretty clear that he only cared about money. He would charge A LOT and also try to sell you on unnecessary procedures (e.g. use of anesthesia to just draw blood or get a urine sample). Here, they go over all treatment options and pricing with you and they don't recommend things unless they think it's necessary.
3. They actually care about the pets! Just seeing how they interact and handle all of the pets (either my own pets or the pets in the waiting room) makes it clear that everyone there loves working with them. I've been at a few vets where dr/staff interactions were just transactional and cold. Being warm and kind definitely brings a level of comfort to everyone (pets + pet parents) and helps to ease an already stressful situation (the vet visit).
My dog and I moved to San Mateo in Feb and we were able to get set up as a new patient at Aragon pretty quick. Every visit we’ve had has been so easy and nice. Every one who works there is so sweet to my nervous lil dog. We are so lucky to have this place to take care of her!!
When your dog is sick, you want a vet who cares and who answers the phone. Peninsula Ave. vet clinic has never failed us over the years. We have two dogs now, and both of them have gotten their shots and other needs here

We have been going to Crystal Springs Pet Hospital for the past 3 years. The staff is courteous and helpful. The clinic is well organized with good communication with us with reminder emails, billing, and request for feedback. We rarely wait more than 10 minutes to be seen and personnel are gentle and loving with the animal patients. I love that they are open during the week and on week-ends . I so am glad that we switched to this animal hospital because we can trust them and it shows professionalism on behalf of its office staff, techs, and doctors.

Maren is one of the kindest and coolest people I’ve met, and she’s phenomenal at what she does. I always feel a difference in my levels of swelling and fatigue after going to her- and she picks up on small things that you might not have noticed otherwise too and clears that up for you. I always look forward to our sessions! If you’re having any issues with lymphatic drainage or buildup, she’s the legit one to go to.
Three weeks ago, I went Golden Eagle Spa to get one hour full body massage. This place is very clean and also room is very comfortable.They provide excellent service and also professional massage. My back felt so much better than before . I highly recommended this place. Will definitely come back.
Dr. Yu was an excellent provider of care, genuinely taking as much time as I needed to feel comfortable in understanding my injury with me, and treating me with acupuncture and electric stimulation. My name is Linda and I've been coming to Anthony for years and every time I have a problem he fixes it I first started out with double tendinitis in both elbows and boy. Let me tell you he really knows how to fix that also went in there for other things for maintenance. And another thing I like is that he doesn't believe in the medicine or surgery which is wonderful and if he doesn't think he can help you he tells you he does not wanna waste your money. He is wonderful. I call him the man with the magic hands I would highly recommend Anthony.
Paul has great hands. Given the manipulations you would think you would be bruised up (I like it deep) the next. But never the case. Always felt refreshed and not sore. Sad to hear he may be leaving the area.
Booked a 90 min appointment with a lot of muscle troubles, came out with all my knots untied. Works wonders. You fill in a form before your massage start, highlighting parts of the body you'd like them to emphasize on.

For the past year I had been struggling with a multitude of health issues including muscle pain. I finally was able to go for lymphatic massage and also worked with infrared pads. I can honestly say I didn't realize how pain had affected me until I find myself snoring on the table. The relief she provided through the treatment and relaxed environment greatly helped. I can also say that the pain in my hands is gone as well. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for help, relief, and great customer service. I would give ut ten stars if I could.

From the beginning of my theraphy of a fractured left foot, Leada was very professional and had a concern for what my therapy would be. She listened to what my goal was which is getting back to my Zumba and has helped me tremendously. She has given me wonderful exercises not only to strenthened the broken bone in my foot but exercises for the back and hip to keep everything aligned. Thank you Leada.
I’ve been seeing Shah for about seven years now, and he has been an incredible gift in my life. I have an S-curve scoliosis, with both curves measuring around 48 degrees, and Shah has been instrumental in my lifelong journey of pain management and preventing further progression. I truly don’t know what I would do without him. His knowledge and kindness are unmatched. I only wish I had found him in my teens—back when more progress might have been possible, instead of being steered toward surgery by orthopedic surgeons who rarely offered alternatives.

Dr. Chen, is the BEST acupuncture person I have had. She is generous with needles and time. She is Soft spoken kind and doesn't rush you. My neck pain has drastically improved I feel much better. She gives you the works, acupuncture a massage, cupping a heat lamp.. wow you will leave very satisfied with Dr. Chen.

I have been seeing Dr Ye off an on for years now. She was recommended to me by multiple friends, they went to her with different hardships caused by black-mold, car-crash caused concussion, tooth pain etc. She helped with my skin issues and helped lowering stress levels as well.

I called this center maybe 3 months prior to my first appointment with a accupuncturist. When I called, the receptionist told me they were booked out for 3 months in advanced. However, since this place was nearby and I read all the positive views on yelp, I really wanted to try this place out. So I gave them my insurance information and waited for my turn. Well the day finally came for my appointment. They did not send me any reminders for that day, but I wrote in my calendar that I had an appointment, however I was unsure if it was at 2:30pm or 2:45pm. So I opted to come a little before 2:30pm in hopes of not missing my appointment. When I arrived I like the receptionist know I was there for an appointment and she said she was very glad I showed up because she said it was her fault for not writing down my number when I booked the appointment way back when. Well thank goodness I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget and was able to see the acupuncturist. There are two acupuncturist at this center (Angela and Minal). I booked my appointment with Minal. She was very sweet and knowledge about the practice. I did an acupuncture with cupping. Cupping was an extra $10 that was not covered with my insurance but I figured it was still a good deal. I have only done acupuncture and cupping once before this experience. Minal said she does this thing called moving cupping. Where she uses the same cups but moves it throughout the whole back. There were a few points where I experienced extra pain from the needles (which she told me was because it was super tense there) and some pain with the heat from the cups. She released a little bit of the energy and then added it back when I was able to tolerate it a bit more. She was very kind and made sure to check in on my throughout the experience. I explained that I have been pretty bad back pain for awhile now since working at my job due to all the bending over and lifting. Even to a point that I bought a back brace. Minal was able to help relieve some of the pain and I can only hope that as I go more frequently it will be more helpful. Overall, I had a great experience with Minal. I will definitely be back for more appointments. It may be intimidating to know that it took me this long to get an appointment, but after you get your initial appointment, it's not as bad to get another appointment in. They have a system that notifies you when someone cancels their appointment so you can pick it up. Also to further convince you, I had the best sleep that night after my treatment so it is def worth it!

Amazing. Instructor Kenny has saved my life. I had driving lessons with a different driving school in the area and was terrified I won’t pass, because the teacher was really bad. Kenny saved the day. Just two lessons with him helped me pass on my first try. Good communication, clear instructions, and listened to my concerns. Can’t recommend him enough.
I had a great experience with Annex Driving school. The instructor was helpful and very knowledgeable on the driving test and what the testers look for.
I highly recommend this driving school. They’re very responsive, friendly, affordable and comfortable to work with.Tin was such a great instructor!! I couldn’t thank him enough for helping me pass the test! I had a bad driving instructor (at another school) before… so I really appreciate his patience and teaching methods.
