Ali saved me from a DIY disaster weekend and my beloved shag rug, my elderly cats favorite play space, is home safe once again.
My rug is the discontinued IKEA vindum rug, this rug is a monster, it's 7 by 9 feet, extremely thick fiber, densely tufted shag. It's so thick and cushy that you can nap on it and wake up feeling fine. I've had it nearly half my elderly cats life and he spends all of his play energy on it because he knows if he falls, it cushions his impact. A week ago I knocked over a tall cup of ginger ale which splattered the rug so thoroughly I knew a damp rag couldn't come close to preventing it from being an ant attraction.
