He was at the house within the 1/2 hour and after diagnosing the problem it was determined the toilet needed replacement. It was original to the house, so this wasn't a surprise. “This company is amazing. A person answers the phone, and gives expert advice. I was able to schedule a same day appointment. The service person, Wesley , called to say he would be earlier than expected . He carefully assessed our situation and gave us options as our water heater was still functioning. We decided to replace the heater and pump as both were 16 years old , well beyond the 10-12 year life expectancy. The installation took 5 instead of 4 hours as a couple of glitches occurred, but Wesley kept us posted. He was courteous and professional throughout the entire process.“

“My old tankless water heater died about 14 months ago and Keith installed a new Navien replacement unit. Keith did a fantastic job, working within a very tight space and adjusting plumbing fittings to work within the constraints. Two months later, the water heater stopped working. Keith responded immediately and noted that a manufacturing issue had been discovered that resulted in many units with bad control boards. In order to process a warranty claim, Keith was supposed to diagnose our bad unit, send it in, and order a replacement. To save time, Keith ordered a replacement at his risk and replaced the control board the next day.Now, 14 months later and I wanted to perform annual maintenance to descale the unit. The procedure I used on my old water heater did not work and once again Keith responded promptly and suggested a possible solution. Worked first try! I really appreciate Keith's customer service and workmanship. Keep up the amazing work!“

“Woke up one morning to no hot water. Never having an issue with the water heater before and not familiar with repair, I called Kbeck and was added to their schedule for that same day. In the meantime I watched a YouTube video on relighting the pilot light and to my luck it lit right up. I waited a couple of hours and checked the water temp and still no hot water. Leave it to the professionals. Kbeck arrived at the appointment time and had to replace the pilot assembly.Plus they have an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau.“

“My bathtub/shower faucet decided to break late Friday afternoon before a long weekend (of course). The water was gushing out of the faucet and could not be turned off!! I called a few places recommended by friends and none could come out until the following Tuesday - yikes so much wasted water! Then on Sunday I decided to search yelp and found these amazing plumbers. I called on Sunday afternoon, and Ygnacio, the owner, answered immediately. After explaining my problem and doing a quick analysis over FaceTime, he confirmed he could send someone out to turn the water off, and then within an hour Alberto came to the rescue! Working with some challenging peculiarities of my situation, he quickly assessed and got the water off. So within maybe 2 hours of finding Oakland Rooter on yelp, on a Sunday, my issue was dealt with - and at an affordable price. No weekend overtime!Additionally, Alberto was very respectful of my health (high risk for COVID) and property - he wore a mask at my request and shoe covers which I was so grateful for.Honestly, these guys are awesome! He was able to pull the required permits from the city and he was able to address the questions the city officials had to approve the permit.They were able to complete all of the above said work in a little over 2 weeks as promised.The cost of the project was reasonable pricing comparing with the other contractors and lower than some of the quotes I got. I gave 4.8 as few of the material costs were higher but that is very small percentage of the whole project.A minor issue popped up of the work they have done at the bathroom sink which is not related to their job but Jose was able to take care of that without any additional charge.See before and after pics“

Bill responded with a quote immediately and then recommended he stop in to take a look at the job and make sure everything was in order. PLUS during the same 3 days replace approx. 115 ft. of old clay pipe sewer lateral, including permit and inspection fees, excavation, proper traffic control, necessary concrete removal and replacement, replacing city WYE connection, obtaining the sewer lateral compliance test, off-hauling debris, cleaning work area, and more than can describe here. Basically, everything that needed to be done was done well! This was a relief, as my abundant past experiences with contractors, plumbers and other professional services often required me to keep a close eye to avoid pitfalls. With Challenge Rooter, Chebo the owner, Rosa and staff in the office, and the highly-experienced teams of workers maintained clear communication throughout the process, were responsive to any questions I might have, and the scheduling was precise.
