“Within 45 mins of taking my request for service, Miguel and an associate arrived at the house, that was AWESOME!They diagnosed the problem as being, a clog within the toilet bowl and not what I had originally thought it would be (a clog in the line under the house! This saved me some money to fix because to have to "snake" the outside lines takes a little more time but they were able to fix the problem with an auger directly through the toilet. I really appreciated this companies honesty, as I have been hijacked by services in the past. Miguel and his associate were very professional and pleasant and, as always is a happy surprise, they were careful not to create alot for me to clean up and I REALLY appreciate that, I cant tell you enough!! “My old tankless water heater died about 14 months ago and Keith installed a new Navien replacement unit. Keith did a fantastic job, working within a very tight space and adjusting plumbing fittings to work within the constraints. Two months later, the water heater stopped working. Keith responded immediately and noted that a manufacturing issue had been discovered that resulted in many units with bad control boards. In order to process a warranty claim, Keith was supposed to diagnose our bad unit, send it in, and order a replacement. To save time, Keith ordered a replacement at his risk and replaced the control board the next day.Now, 14 months later and I wanted to perform annual maintenance to descale the unit. The procedure I used on my old water heater did not work and once again Keith responded promptly and suggested a possible solution. Worked first try! PLUS during the same 3 days replace approx. 115 ft. of old clay pipe sewer lateral, including permit and inspection fees, excavation, proper traffic control, necessary concrete removal and replacement, replacing city WYE connection, obtaining the sewer lateral compliance test, off-hauling debris, cleaning work area, and more than can describe here. “My bathtub/shower faucet decided to break late Friday afternoon before a long weekend (of course). The water was gushing out of the faucet and could not be turned off!! I called a few places recommended by friends and none could come out until the following Tuesday - yikes so much wasted water! Then on Sunday I decided to search yelp and found these amazing plumbers. I called on Sunday afternoon, and Ygnacio, the owner, answered immediately. After explaining my problem and doing a quick analysis over FaceTime, he confirmed he could send someone out to turn the water off, and then within an hour Alberto came to the rescue! Working with some challenging peculiarities of my situation, he quickly assessed and got the water off. So within maybe 2 hours of finding Oakland Rooter on yelp, on a Sunday, my issue was dealt with - and at an affordable price. No weekend overtime!Additionally, Alberto was very respectful of my health (high risk for COVID) and property - he wore a mask at my request and shoe covers which I was so grateful for.Honestly, these guys are awesome! Bill responded with a quote immediately and then recommended he stop in to take a look at the job and make sure everything was in order. He was able to pull the required permits from the city and he was able to address the questions the city officials had to approve the permit.They were able to complete all of the above said work in a little over 2 weeks as promised.The cost of the project was reasonable pricing comparing with the other contractors and lower than some of the quotes I got. I gave 4.8 as few of the material costs were higher but that is very small percentage of the whole project.A minor issue popped up of the work they have done at the bathroom sink which is not related to their job but Jose was able to take care of that without any additional charge.See before and after pics“
