“I have an aging Noritz tankless water heater and Vince has been a wizard with this thing. While doing a preliminary evaluation to address some concerns he showed me where some things were clearly failing, and for a reasonable price got it in tip-top shape. He also suggested and walked me through all the pros and cons of potentially adding an aquastat so that the system could conserve life and gas. Given the system’s age and wanting to get as much life out of it as possible, we went ahead with that suggestion too. I really appreciate all the explanations and depth of knowledge he’s happy to share.
His most recent wizardry was saving me ~$500. The scheduling timer on the Grundfos pump went bad and kept getting out of sync with the actual time. Rather than just replacing it (and charging parts and labor), he suggested I buy/install a smart timer ($25), and leave the scheduler set to always be on. Now, I can easily set and adjust schedules on the smart timer’s app, and easily turn the system off entirely if I l travel. I’m very happy to report that it’s been working just fine with that fix. That he’s willing to save clients some money (and time coordinating a visit) when he could come out and make money himself is a pretty solid testament to his honesty and integrity.
Give this guy a call, he knows his stuff. Bonus points for always seeming to have the required parts in his van, even if he’s not sure at first if he’s got them.”
