3702 Grand Ave, Oakland“Left Coast is an absolutely amazing yoga studio! Most classes are warmed to around 82; initially I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this but I love it. Instructors are warm and friendly, giving clear cues on how to get into the poses with the right alignment, and without hurting yourself. My favorite teachers at this location are Deb and Malka - Deb teaches slower Alignment Flow and Flow + Restore classes and Malka teaches Power Yoga, which is more of an energetic vinyasa flow. Also love some of the newer teachers, like Zach and Malika. Definitely check it out! They have a great new student special - first month of unlimited classes for $75.“

3308 Adeline St, Berkeley“After more than four years between classes, I was so happy to return to Heather's class in person! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Adeline has moved to a new, even better location, just a few doors up. This class was exactly what I need, and I especially appreciate the helpful title: "Continuing Beginner," that's me all right! September will be 9 years I've been practicing yoga, but (almost ) half of that has been (almost) entirely on Zoom so getting in-person adjustments is a welcome change. I come with the heart of a beginner. Thanks for the great class! Also, pro tip for other continuing beginners: if you don't go to Adeline Bakery for a treat after this class ends, you're doing it wrong.“

P.S. I'm glad that I can have run-on sentences in my review.“

It was a stunning view and Amelia was a great teacher. I really liked the way she spoke about which move was coming next and I felt very comfortable even as a beginner. Highly recommend hiring her if you have an event.“

4 Yosemite off, Piedmont Ave, Oakland“I have been with Mountain Yoga for a year and I love it! I did a wide sampling of studios from Walnut Creek to Oakland and landed on Mountain Yoga. Basically, it felt most worth my time and money. I learn so many different things from all the teachers that I do not mind driving from Moraga to Oakland 2 to 3 times per week.“

“I've been having some health issues for about 6 months. Kaiser couldn't have cared less to help me heal. I turned to Dr. Feng, and he was able to diagnose the issue on my first appointment. I started seeing results immediately. Went back for a second appointment. I thought they'd want to see me again but they told me I'd be fine and I could come back if I wanted to. Two sessions with Dr Feng and all my issues have completely disappeared. I am so grateful to him.“

I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone visiting the east bay, or frankly anyone within driving distance. Worth the trip. Hope to be back soon!“

2573 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Wow ?"I had an incredible experience at the Hot Yoga studio. As a yoga instructor myself, I'm always seeking ways to deepen my practice and reconnect with mindfulness. This studio provided the perfect environment for both. The heat intensified the challenge, pushing me to explore my limits and find new depths in each pose. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and offered gentle guidance to help me refine my practice. The atmosphere was calming yet energizing, creating a space where I could truly immerse myself in the practice. I left each session feeling rejuvenated, centered, and inspired to continue my yoga journey. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to take their practice to the next level!"“

2228 Sixth St, Berkeley“I've received traditional acupuncture sessions for 50+ years from a variety of acupuncture providers in Bay Area, and at last and none too soon, I discovered this superb and experienced acupuncturist! Her office is comfortable, clean and professional, scheduling with a receptionist in the office. Nancy herself is older and wiser than other acupuncturists-she just knows where to put needles after understanding what you need/want in a brief q and a health conversation. She "gets it" and gets to work! My primary reason for this review of Nancy's practice is Nancy-non-judgmental, very caring and experienced, she listens, providing the best possible outcome of presented issues. Also, she doesn't try to sell you herbs, teas, treatments that so many less experienced try to include. Just the basics with compassion, simply and powerfully, reasonably priced.“

1001 42nd St, Oakland“Alok has an intuitive touch and is a greatly skilled bodyworker. I look forward to scheduling a session again!“
“Yogalayam is a classical yoga center that is a rare find in the Bay Area. The Director, Saraswathi Devi, is a considered a Senior level teacher and is well known for her dedication and commitment to the people whom she serves. She has dedicated over 40 years to the practice of Prana Yoga, a lineage passed down directly from her teacher (from India), Swami Vignanananda. Saraswathi Devi is most known for the one of a kind Yoga Therapy program that she founded at UC Berkeley which serves yoga practitioners with and without disabilities. She is also known for her full spectrum care of families through the practice of yoga through Pre/Post Natal, her popular Family/Baby classes as well as Yoga and Meditation for all walks of life. Although Saraswathi Devi has in-depth knowledge of yoga as a disciplined way of life, as an experienced teacher she is able to meet you where you are at with care and grace.“

“I am an active sports person who periodically needs a muscle fix or work over. I stumbled on Ren after looking around for a knowledgeable practitioner. I was impressed with the way she listened, approached my issues & suggested solutions. After a session & a few days later I realized that she nailed the muscle group and I was on the path of recovery. I continued with more sessions & later incorporated an overall body work-up. I definitely would not hesitate using her again.“
“I just stopped by here because I need a change of clothes and guess what these people are so friendly they let me in they told me to stay and dance I wasn’t prepared for that, but I ended up just enjoying the music and watching them have a blast and I think it’s time for me to rejoin my Zumba class. Thank you for your hospitality everybody!

“Super convenient location for me! Classes are a fair price, the cheapest so far for me. They have a lot of equipment available for people. The only con is street parking. Might get lucky or not finding close parking. I had to park 2 blocks away when I went for the first time. I do look forward going back when I don't feel like going far for my usual yoga classes.“
