“I was referred to Coach Jah by a mutual friend when I was struggling with back/hip pain and couldn't identify the cause and treatment. We scheduled a time and I was moving extremely well after the first session! Over 10+ sessions in, I have not only improved physically but the exercise I tried on my own, Coach has helped me understand and introduced new exercise that I didn't even cross my mind that it would benefit me as a Bboy.I really appreciate him taking the time to get to know me and my goals as a 34 year old breaker (dancing over 15+) and now my perspective is not how much longer I can break but now what new heights I can hit!! I am faster, my reaction, my balance, my speed, etc is better than it ever has been already! I had the opportunity to see and meet the other coaches and clients (kids and adults) and you can see their passion in developing the athlete/individual as a whole!!“

“What CFCV means to us? It’s a part of our life since we have started. It’s helped both me and my partner to get clarity not just in terms of physical space, but largely where we are and what we need to both in terms of our daily work life and the mental space we are in. The vibe within our CFCV fam is more of a tribe and we have seen members with different experience and strength just keep carrying good vibes over and over again. The support and coaching is just the icing that just comes out to the display with every week we have been here because we all just keep getting better. “What a memorable workout! I participated in a T10 session, which was definitely a full body challenge. The circuit was well-paced with both strength and cardio stations. Notable highlights were the rowing machines, SkiErgs, AssaultBikes, and barbells. All equipment, as well as the overall facility, was in pristine condition. I really appreciated the coach's energy, helpfulness, and immaculate music taste. I would highly recommend this class to all fitness levels as reps may be modified based on your abilities.“

“My son is in the middle of his second year learning and practicing Jiu Jitsu at Battle Control. It has been a great experience for him to become dedicated to something he not only enjoys, but has the opportunity to develop as a skill that will last a lifetime. He is one of the youngest in the adult class and Mr. Lara is very encouraging and patient with him. I love the fact that when everyone enters the building, pride is left behind. The more advanced belts mentor the novices, even in the middle of an intense roll, to help them improve technique. All-in-all it is a wholesome, friendly atmosphere and I'm thankful my son started his Jiu Jitsu journey here.“

“I have been training with Evelyn at Birch & Iron Fitness for several years, and I am consistently impressed by Evelyn's approach to better fitness and health. She took the time to understand my fitness objectives and together, we tailored a personalized workout plan that pushed me beyond my limits while still being mindful of my abilities. At each session, Evelyn comes prepared with a variety of activities that strike a balance of keeping the workout challenging enough to do while still being interesting and motivating. She provides knowledgeable instruction often accomplishing a challenging and effective workout without bulky equipment or overly complicated routines. Evelyn seems to intuitively know right where my maximum range is and her encouragement is always enough to get me over the top. Not only is Evelyn an expert trainer, but she is genuinely kind and fun to be around. “Joe is an AMAZING personal trainer. I am motivated, challenged, and encouraged to surpass my own limitations. I am impressed with the way he keeps up with my progress via an interactive app. He makes you feel like you are his only client. I appreciate how he comments and makes suggestions on my food choices, and if I am not meeting my walking or exercise goals, he will give me gentle reminders to get back on track. His expectations during our workouts are for me to do my best and push past my own mental blocks on what I think I can do. He is cordial, complimentary, and probably the best fitness choice I have ever made for myself.“

“Grant Took Me to My Front Split Goal! I had a dream for over 20 years to reach the front split. I tried so many times to progress towards it and wrote countless new year resolutions to do that. Grant helped me to bring this dream to life. From our very first session, Grant set up the program which was tailored for my lifestyle, addressed my physical limitations but also empowered my mindset. He set up a program for me to follow, held me accountable and progressed the routine each week. Grant introduced me to techniques I haven't encountered before. He celebrated my progress which was a big driver for my motivation and energy. Within a couple of months I have achieved the dream of so many years and I can't be grateful enough to Grant for making this possible! My journey didn't end with the split. Grant is now working with me on the overall strengths, focusing on building the glute muscles which is a fun challenging path allowing me to gain new appreciation and confidence in my body. “I've been coming here for a few months now and am glad that I gave this place a try. My goals are to improve strength and gain muscle injury free. You do about 6-7 exercises per visit with the intention of performing 90-120 seconds worth of reps per exercise. By the time you hit that 90-120 second mark you are experiencing muscle fatigue (the muscles are burning/shaking) to achieve the maximum benefit. Christian was my trainer and he is fantastic. Very encouraging (you've got this, you're strong, etc), great cuing (only 2 more reps, next rep you'll hold for 3 seconds, etc) and really listens to what's going on with you/your body (as it's hard to be 100% or fully rested each visit). The office is clean and orderly. This is another deceptively larger building then it looks from the outside. There are 4-5 separate rooms with different equipment so it's not one big setting where different sets of customer/trainers are crammed together. I've noticed a positive difference in the 3 months.“

“I’ve been going here for over 2 years now. I initially started just to lose weight for my wedding but I stayed for the Muay Thai. Sifu Rey is great with more years or knowledge and experience than me being alive. He caters to your goals. If you want to lose weight you will lose weight, if you want to learn how to fight, you will know how to kill someone with your bare hands (plus knees, elbows, and legs). His combination of Muay Thai and wing chun is truly a deadly combination. Prior to being a student I was out of shape and wouldn’t survive in a street fight. Now I can confidently say I can hold my own worse case scenario if I ever had to defend my family or myself.“

“I was introduce to Soul Pilates during 2020 when Simone hosted pandemic-friendly HIIT Pilates in the Park. I loved the way Simone effortlessly leads! She gives clear instructions and demonstrations for each exercise, and as someone recovering from injuries--I need those modifications that she also offers.I joined the studio for a 10-day abs challenge, and I was HOOKED day 1! I experienced that my planks drastically improved through that challengeFirst of all, the studio is so cute that even the bathroom is pretty! Simone instructs and so effectively pushes you at the same time! I can't wait to come back for more!“

“I am very happy with my new place to workout. The machines are great it needs a bit of tlc since it looks like it has never been cleaned before, but they are of good quality. No big crowds and honestly it is an expensive place to sign up for workout but it is worth it because it is nice and most people are minding their own business.“
