“This is the best place for an eye exam and for purchasing glasses. Dr. Gracie is wonderful. She took the time to explain in detail what each part of the exam was for. No other doctor I've been to has done that. Suzanne was great about helping me choose frames and lenses. This is really her area of expertise. She knew exactly what frames would look good on me. And finally the price for my exam and purchasing 2 pairs of glasses was less than when I went to a private practice and purchased one pair. And Target was not even in my insurance network. I will definitely be a repeat customer.“
“This review is for Scott who fixed my prescription sunglasses. I felt a little intimidated showing up at an optometrist's office asking for help with fixing my prescription sunglasses where a screw came out (will be on vacation for a few days so didn't have time to order a new pair, etc.). This wasn't where I received my sunglasses initially, but I knew about this place since my husband is a patient and is nearby to us. When I entered, Scott immediately asked what brought me in and was super friendly to the point I didn't feel as silly asking for assistance. No questions asked or any judgment. He received my consent and understanding that there's always a risk with fixing. He was very attentive, quick, and careful -- and -- offered to tighten the glasses I was wearing! Scott is truly a gem on their team.“

“We love Dr Wada and his staff. Doctor Wada is so easy going and thorough. He will happily answer any questions you have. We have never had any billing issues at this practice. They also never put any type of pressure to buy glasses or pay for additional stuff. This has been the first and only optometry practice we've been to since moving up to Bay Area almost 10 years ago. My only "complaint" is that I wish they were more automated and sent text reminders for appointments.“

“My husband and I are repeat clients. Although we have moved out of state, we squeezed in visit to see Dr. Trang last month while we were in town. My husband has perfect vision so his exam was only an eye exam. My exam was for contact lens. The doctor was professional and was very thorough with both exams. She never rushed and went into great details. Everyone was friendly. Great selections of eyewear.“

“I can only agree with all the other reviewers. They are far above most other eye doctors I have seen. Very friendly, very flexible. You get somebody on the phone quickly, who clearly wants to help you and is glad to go the extra mile. I had an urgent eye issue late on a Saturday. I was quite worried. They squeezed me in, checked it out, turns out it was nothing major. Had I not gotten in, I would have worried til Monday. I'm very grateful. Dr. Yandell is very cool. She definitely knows her stuff, explains things, answers questions, clearly cares, explains the risks. Makes you feel welcome, not at all like a "transaction", which what I felt at other places. I will definitely come back for all my eye needs.“

“I highly recommend Dr. Tina Chang as the best eye doctor I have ever come across. She is thorough with her analysis and truly cares about her patients. The organization, cleanliness, and customer service at her office are spot-on perfection.I had a wonderful experience during my visit to Dr. Chang's office with my husband. I was not expecting a long visit (this was a good thing!), but Dr. Chang found swelling in the back of my eye that could have been harmful to my brain, and she immediately got worried. She went out of her way to call my doctors and inform them of the situation.I was surprised that my previous eye doctors had not detected this problem, but I am grateful to Dr. Chang for her diligence and expertise. “I have been with Dr Lao since end of 2016/early 2017. My family has very strong medical history of glaucoma and I picked Dr Lao specifically because of her expertise in this area. I am very particular about this, and I given I had just moved to the country, I knew what I was looking for. From the first visit until today (2024), I can stand by Dr Lao's professionalism and experience as my eye doctor. She is by far the best eye doctor I've had who works with integrity and ethics. She does not use patient-doctor relationship for her business benefit nor for once attempt to convince me to spend more than I should. I have since recommended friends and even bring my mother (who was visiting) to get glaucoma tests, eye test, prescription, etc. Everyone that I recommended has since stayed on with Dr Lao with no issue. Granted, you wont get any fancy branded frames here. Practical, quality, and precision. I wear prescription glasses and contact lens most of my life. So i know when a doctor has experience to get it right the first time. Pretty disappointed to see other reviews. Thought I'll share my experience here. Also worth mentioning, all the staff who works/worked with Dr Lao are amazing -- you can't work for a bad boss.“

“I have been a patient at Eye Focus Optometry for about 5 years now and never experienced any issues. For my previous exams, I was seen by Dr. Cindy Nguyen and yesterday I was seen by her associate optometrist: Dr. My Diep/Guino. What really motivated me to write this 5-star review is the experience I just had with their office. I had my annual eye exam yesterday with Dr. Diep and everything went well for the most part. However, when it came time to pay for my exams and contact lenses order, I was shocked to see how much extra I had to pay out of pocket after my insurance coverage. I didn’t make a fuss about it and paid it anyway as I didn’t want to come off as a Karen and I understand how healthcare costs has inflated over the years. Today, one of the staff from Eye Focus actually reached out to me to let me know that I was mistakenly charged the wrong rates for my exams and that my card will be refunded. I really appreciated how polite and professional the staff member was with addressing the issue and how the office took accountability for it even when I had no complaints. It really shows the integrity of the doctors and staff at Eye Focus Optometry. I’m really happy with the experiences I’ve had with their office so far and will continue to have my annual exams here.“
