Had a really disappointing and humiliating experience at Costco Optical.

I bought glasses here last year and was guided on specific lens specs by their staff. I came back to order the same thing, and instead of helping, the employee denied it outright, mocked me, and implied I got my information from Reddit.

What’s worse is the complete lack of knowledge paired with total confidence—they clearly didn’t understand what I was asking, yet dismissed me instead of trying to clarify or check records. No effort to investigate, no accountability, just condescension.

Pro: Descent prices and selection. Contacts in stock.

Cons: Will not put new lenses in glasses frames purchased at Costco if it is either purchased mire than 2 years (which is same valid time as a prescription) or the jab rejects the frame for any reason. What this mess is that your $300 frame you bought a Costco is only good for one prescription.

Conclusion: They force you to buy new glasses frame each time you get a new prescription. Your Rayban or Oakleys will be useless in 2 years.

Got my first glasses here. Brand new glasses had scratches on the frame. Had to come back while they ordered new frames. Come back a second time and the employee working took 20 mins to find and understand that I was there once already. They only needed to switch out my frames. Overall frustrating experience.
