Todd has been able to help me overcome old sporting injuries to my shoulder, knee and help strengthen my core again to to support my back. I have dropped weight, put on muscle and feel stronger now than I have in years. Todd listened to my needs and the results speak for themselves. Highly recommend.“

I love it that he uses different analogies or explanations to help me understand what the correct form should look like, and also helping me create a workout program that can help me build bone density. He has a great attitude, is always punctual and is also super responsive to all my email/text questions. Thank you, Jeff!“

I can honestly say my experience at CrossFit Fog City was excellent. I was only in San Francisco for about a month and needed a gym, so I signed up for a temporary one-month membership and I couldn’t be more satisfied.
The gym is massive and has just about every piece of equipment you could ask for. The coaching staff was awesome great programming, fun classes, and a really positive atmosphere. Gordon, the owner, was extremely responsive and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Whether you’re in town temporarily or looking for a long-term fitness home, I highly recommend checking out CrossFit Fog City. The space and community are amazing!“

673 Grand View Ave, San Francisco“I recently had the pleasure of working with Marty, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. I came to him with two main goals: addressing some knee pain and improving my dance performance with a more well-rounded approach to strength and mobility.
From day one, Marty’s depth of knowledge and passion for movement stood out. He has a strong background in kettlebells, but he doesn’t limit himself there. He brings an interdisciplinary lens, always connecting the dots between strength, mobility, longevity, and real-world performance. He’s rigorous and detail-oriented, with an incredible eye for form. Instead of just running me through sets, he made sure I understood the “why” behind everything we were doing.
He very quickly identified the root cause of my knee pain, and gave me precise exercises to fix it. Within weeks, I felt a real difference.
Beyond rehab, he looked at my dance training and lifestyle, and challenged me to think about what my “missing link” was to not only take my physical base to the next level, but also set myself up for longevity. He’s savvy about how to personalize training to your unique situation - not just in movements but also how you incorporate training into your lifestyle.
Each session was essentially a mix of training and hands-on education. I didn’t just get stronger from working with Marty, he taught me how to think critically about my movement, my longevity, and my potential. He’s essentially a fountain of knowledge (he’s got a LOT of passion, and you can tell he does a vast amount of self-study because he loves it!), and his eye for detail and corrections are on a class of its own.
He’s tough and rigorous in all the ways you want a coach to be, and if you truly dedicate yourself to the work and to being the best student possible, results are sure to come.
Im grateful to Marty, and recommend to anyone thinking of working with him!“

3450 3rd St STE 4C, San Francisco“If you're looking for a personal trainer who can MOTIVATE you to get your butt to the gym and establish fitness habits for life, Dane is your dude.If you're looking for a personal trainer who will thoughtfully craft a program just for YOU (including your nutrition) so you can achieve that goal of yours - whether it's gaining strength, losing weight, or something in between - Dane is your dude.Dane knows what the **** he's talking about, and his programs simply work.BACKGROUND:I came in weighing 172lb and classic "skinny-fat". With some on-and-off gym experience, I had never fully committed to my fitness regiment and my body proved it. I needed someone who could tell me what to do, keep me accountable, and help me establish a habit of exercise to keep me healthy for a long time.First session with Dane was a free consult where we talked my history of fitness, reasons why I couldn't keep consistency/progress, and my overall goals. Dane listened, took contemporaneous notes, and even gave me basic nutrition recommendations to consider before we started working together.A few days later I began my first session, and Dane took it from there. He designed a plan that fit exactly what I needed - something that first ESTABLISHED a habit and then set the stage for a 12 month program designed to hit my goals.Dane keeps me accountable by checking in EVERY session about my nutrition, my sleep, and my overall wellness. He listens to feedback my body is giving during a program and quickly adapts to ensure we're keeping on track to the goal and achieving maximum results. We've done multiple lifting and strength programs, hence showing Dane's ability to pull from his deep, deep knowledge-base of anatomy, fitness programming, and nutrition to truly customize what we're doing in each session to my body.RESULTS:Pretty insane. With Dane's 12 month training program, my lifts went from:- Squat: 145lb > 285lb- Bench: 135lb -> 215lb- Deadlift: 225lb -> 405lbMy total of 905lb at 185lb body weight is a huge accomplishment for me, and something that I would have never been able to do alone.I gained approx 15lb of muscle and lost a couple pounds of chubs. At the end of the day, you can have a personal trainer who has all the accolades, personality, experience, etc., but if they don't get you the results you are looking for, then it's been a failed encounter. With Dane, he knows exactly how to apply his skillset to achieve your desired outcome. Highly recommend this guy.“
