“So many great things to say about The Ranch I don't know where to start. They were so communicative from the get go and made us feel so comfortable with the board and train program for our 2 boxers from the very beginning. Our girls were with them for almost 6 weeks and came back home with much improvement and were clearly well taken care of and happpy during their stay. He pulled up the livestream so that I was able to watch as Sitka was introduced to the other pups and staff. “What a gem! Paw Haven truly saved me over the holidays after I was searching for reliable dog care since losing our longtime dog sitter. From the moment I brought my dog in for his temperament test, I immediately felt at ease—the staff were relaxed yet incredibly professional.
My dog is a senior with diabetes, requires insulin, and is partially blind, so I was nervous leaving him for over a week with new people in a new place. The staff reassured me right away that my pup would be in great hands—and he absolutely was.

“I've visited Pet Lover’s Resort three times, although never with my own dog. On the first occasion, I brought my sister’s dog, and on the subsequent visits, I took my cousin’s dog. The service was excellent on the first and second visits, and the pricing was reasonable. During the second visit, I requested grooming and a curtain trim for my cousin’s dog, which was done well for around $60.

However, my experience on the third visit was different. I requested only a basic grooming service—just a wash and blow dry, without any additional services like haircuts, teeth brushing, or nail trims. They initially quoted $90 for this, which seemed unreasonable, given that I had paid less for more services previously. After discussing the pricing with the owner, she agreed to lower it to $65. Later, I received a call from the front desk stating the charge would be $60, which I accepted. However, upon arrival, I was informed the fee was $65, as initially discussed. The inconsistency and lack of clear communication were frustrating, as it wasn’t about the extra five dollars, but rather the principle of the situation. Additionally, after the third visit, I noticed that my cousin's dog did not smell like anything at all, which was disappointing. This added to my annoyance, as I expected at least a pleasant scent after grooming.“

“I brought my standard poodle in a couple weeks ago, and I was very happy with how she was introduced to the facility and how they checked her thoroughly and then they treated her really well and gave her a wonderful cut and full groom. I'm going to bring my other mini golden doodle there. I'm glad I found them.“

Always spotless and staff know their inventory which makes for a quick and pleasant pit stop. Easy pothole free complimentary parking lot in back or meters in front on Wilshire. Definitely the top of the list if you prefer to support a local brick and mortar for all your best friends raw kibble likings.“

We rescued a 10 month old puppy this spring and added her to our family with two other dogs and a cat.

Within the first week we discovered our new member was extremely anxious (she escaped once and was gone for hours), was up through the night and not housebroken. This prompted us to connect with Dee where we collaborated on our goals together, and set our focus on reducing anxiety, potty and crate training, and teaching hand signals to keep our pup from bolting out the door.

Two months later, we are THRILLED to report that our puppy’s anxiety levels are down dramatically, she is 99% potty trained, fully crate trained and sleeping through the night and not a single attempt at an escape. An added bonus is seeing the benefit all of this has had on our other dogs and how quickly the puppy and cat were able to integrate.

We did our meetings with Dee over FaceTime, starting at 3 to 4 times a week, and naturally decreasing as Dee’s program was so effective. Dee is extremely knowledgeable, provides clear instruction, and has a way of explaining situations from a dog’s perspective that makes it easy to understand the interventions.

Scheduling time with her was easy. We greatly appreciated her being firm about following guidelines because it kept us on track. However, she is also understanding and flexible when we expressed needing adjustments based on our own lifestyle or goals for our family.

We have a calm and cohesive family and are beyond grateful for Dee who was integral in this process.“

“Our puppy has attended puppy great start class, puppy socialization and most recently beginner's tricks class. We've had great experiences with all classes with both Jacqueline and Jo Anne at la's dog trainer. The tricks class with Jo Anne was particularly great as it helped us build a training relationship with our puppy in a fun way and the tricks ended up being a bonus to a more well behaved pup.
