Both of my kids go to Phoenix Rising, and they absolutely love it. Mr. Drath is amazing with kids. He makes them laugh, keeps them engaged, and teaches discipline in a way they actually enjoy. As a parent, I feel great bringing my kids here. If you’re looking for a martial arts school in Orinda, I highly recommend it.
My two daughters have been going to taekwondo here with teacher Mr. Drath for many years now. John Drath has been an amazing and inspiring teacher and has a great team to support him in teaching martial arts. Our family highly recommends his studio!
The institute emphasizes important values beyond simply martial arts to cultivate good habits, growth, and humility while balancing them with activities that keep children entertained. They also promote mutual respect between genders and races while simultaneously explaining its reason for importance.
