1555 40th St, Emeryville“This was my first visit to Target Optical. It was by far the best, most thorough eye exam by Dr. Kimberly Chia, and I have had quite a few eye exams in my life. She is the first person who actually asked me to sit at her desk and use her laptop to show her how I use my laptop, so that she could more precisely determine the distance for my computer glasses. Every other place I have been to just had a fixed number of inches they use for computer glasses, and another fixed number for reading glasses, regardless of your size or reading/computer working habits. I must also add, the associates at the optical department are super friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Overall, very positive experience.“

515 Gough St, San Francisco“I saw Dr. Jenny Yuen yesterday. It was my first time visiting See Saw Seen and from the moment I walked through the door she made me feel welcomed. My visit was very quick and the doctor was very thorough. I'm so happy to have found See Saw Seen and will definitely recommend them and Dr. Yuen to family and friends:“

325 Mason St, San Francisco“This little mom and pop shop is a hidden gem which I wish I had discovered years ago. The proprietor (super nice guy) can fix any frame, and can make any lenses fit to any frame (as long as the lenses are not too small). I will only come here from now on when I need repairs. Plus, he has a huge assortment of frames, a lot of which are old school, which is great for me, because I like oval/cat eye frames, which are hard to find among the square-angle frames which have taken over the industry. I've needed to resort to online shopping for the last few years, but I found a pair here without even trying. Highly recommend.“
“This is the first optometrist I've ever gone to. The office is located in Pelton Plaza which is a small shopping area in downtown San Leandro. The office is in the corner but unfortunately parking can sometimes be very difficult to find. If there is parking, it's metered at about $1.50 per hour. The office itself is pretty small with four chairs for waiting and I think two or three cubicle-like exam rooms. The desk staff are usually pretty nice and accommodating, although I will say I've previously interacted with someone there who seemed really impatient with me which I didn't appreciate (not sure if they still work there now). The optometrists themselves are very professional and understanding, I've worked with two of them before and both were kind and explained everything to me that I needed to know! También ellos tienen traductoras por hispanohablantes. Since the office is small, the selection of glasses was small, too. I've gone before and they had almost no glasses on display, but today they had a bigger selection, just not as much as other places I've seen. They have a variety of brands like Gucci, Versace, Mont Blanc, Prada, etc.. I think the staff can help you select frames that are not on display either since they can access the website of frames. Overall this place has good service for optometry but may be inconvenient to access and can feel cramped at times. The selection of frames on display is OK at best but if you are really picky about your frames, you may want to look elsewhere.“

798 Valencia St, San Francisco“This store has an amazing (and fun) selection, expert help in finding frames, and friendly service overall. Additionally, they went out of their way to help me by repairing a pair of frames that I previously purchased from another store. It's wonderful having them in the neighborhood.“

5417 College Ave, Oakland“I went to a half dozen optical shops in the East Bay searching for something more stylish than my basic Costco frames. The Next team welcomed me with a wide range of fashionable options and explained the geometry of how frames should fit on my face. And unlike other shops they gave me undivided attention and didn't shame me because I'm a 60+ dude and not a 20 something. I'm delighted with my new frames and lenses and the money I saved compared to other shops. This easily was the best eyewear shopping experience I've ever had, and I highly recommend the selection and service offered by Melissa and Rick.“
“Have been coming here for years. Always a pleasant experience. Feels like a family experience and I always leave seeing life a little clearer.“

“For years, I've been a devoted customer of SEE Eyewear. I first frequented their Union location, but since its closure, I've become a regular at the only remaining store in SF, conveniently situated at the Palace Hotel. SEE's glasses are crafted in small, distinctive batches, ensuring each pair is truly one-of-a-kind. What truly sets SEE apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff, particularly their optician, Dave Bell, is a superstar par excellence in customer service. Over the years, Dave has guided me to numerous pairs of perfect glasses for me, always eliciting questions like, "Where did you get those?!" It's a run, don't walk type of situation folks. Oh! And they get new glasses in every month, pretty cool!“

3301 E 12th St #109, Oakland“I switched over to Fruitvale Optometry when I was no longer a member at Costco and couldn't go to their optometry office. I've been coming here since 2019. The service is quick and everyone is professional. The price for contact lens prescription is a bit more than what I was used to at Costco, but otherwise I trust the professionalism here. Thank you all for your hard work! =)“

Firstly, I can't remember the beautiful lady at front but she is just so nice, welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, helpful. I feel so comfortable coming and it was my son first time. The doctor is cool to talk to, knowledgeable like you know those you just know been doing something for so long and just make you feel comfortable cause you just know they know. So nice. Good with kids and adult. Works with insurance, and they don't push if you don't purchase there. Apple Pay when I forgot my wallet at work. Just the place to go in Oakland for them eyes.“

5833 College Ave, Oakland“I love these guys. First, and most importantly, they are very competent. All of my prescriptions have always been excellent, providing great clarity of vision. Next, they have really great frames. I've bought some first class frames that were worth every penny. The frame selection is one of the best reasons to go here. That said, one thing I like about this practice is they completely understand buying inexpensive spares online, and they are super helpful. Finally, they are very Covid aware. When you are in a small dark room with another person, it's comforting to know that they are wearing a mask and looking out for your health.“

1760 Timothy Dr, San Leandro“Top quality lenses and frames for your work needs. Bob and Debra are true professionals who are great to work with. They have been visiting my workplace on a monthly basis for the past 25 years. Very reasonably priced, too. You really can't go wrong with this place.“
“I absolutely loved my experience at Eye To Eye and I'm in love with my new glasses! Xavier, who is the owner is kind, warm, personable and patient. He helped me pick out the perfect frames and a pair of clip on sunglasses that are really cool and retro. The frames are very unique as he works with small vendors. His space is also stunning! It feels like you're walking into museum. I literally did not want to leave. I got progressive lenses, which has completely changed my driving experience so that I can look at the road and Waze without having to take my reading glasses on and off. It's a game changer! My friends have commented on how beautiful my glasses are, and I am really grateful to Xavier for helping me pick them out. They were also finished in a very timely manner to coincide with my leaving town. I highly highly recommend this business!“
