“This review is for a major HVAC upgrade we did with them in 2021. I really appreciated their detailed back and forth on system design, which allowed me to focus on energy efficiency and comfort (we had them install a variable speed heat pump system). The work was done in schedule and with a lot of attention to detail. All the air vents were redone, which meant enlarging holes in the floor. Something that's potentially messy but came out really nicely. There were only two hiccups: 1. They initially installed the wrong thermostat. A variable speed heat pump needs a specialized wall controller. After I noticed that, they sent a senior technician to have it replaced. 2. Despite being listed as a BayREN contractor, they failed to apply for the rebate for me and even after a lot of prodding, they just didn't do it. It seemed their office staff was completely overwhelmed and their leadership not paying enough attention I still use them for annual service and friends have had great experience with them. I would have given them five stars if not for the rebate debacle.“

While they offer HVAC and refrigeration services, their communication was poor and scheduling felt disorganized. I waited longer than promised for a technician, and when they finally arrived it seemed like they weren’t fully prepared to diagnose the issue. Prices also felt high compared to the actual work done. “Another good experience with Albert Nahman. (Called them to track down the source of a leak in my upstairs shower) The leak diagnostic was expensive but ended up saving thousands since it revealed the pipes and valves were not leaking. Turns out my leak is likely related to grout damage from recent earthquakes.

If you want an honest plumbing company, who shows up on time, explains options to repair your problems, and cleans up after the do work. This is the company for you.“

“I got my HVAC system installed by 3rd gen in 2022, this week the heater stopped working . I gave them a call and Devin and Ceaser visited today to fix the issue. They were at the house right at the appointment time, understood the issue and fixed in few minutes. I found them very knowledgeable and friendly. They explained in detail the cause and how to prevent it in future . The best part was they were so nice they didn’t charge me as it was not a major fix. “I had a really bad install with a previous HVAC installer who shall go unnamed but they weren't very...E-fficient despite their name saying they were.

Comfy on the other hand was awesome. Their estimate was on the higher end compared to the last vendor but they did it right the first time. They came and diagnosed it quickly and pointed out that the last HVAC guys installed the wrong part. COMFY got the right part and replaced it and the whole system worked perfectly. Their admin team Angie and Chelsea are awesome. Carlos M did a perfect job installing. Titus was a great consultant who helped give a quote. Comfy works with the HERS test vendor to ensure the system is tested. It passed. Comfy deals with the city to ensure permits are pulled. The last HVAC lied when he said he pulled permits. Comfy was honest and did things right. Comfy was awesome. Dealing with the city is not nearly as fun but Comfy deals with it. The HERS test vendor they work with was awesome. I wished I knew about them earlier. Their high rating isn't a trick. They're that good!“
