We recently had a patio, stairs, and walkway completed. We are beyond thrilled at the outcome. We are sooo pleased and excited about the outcome. It looks absolutely amazing and we are hanging outside as a family, more than we ever imagined. Our project is gorgeous and we are absolutely in love with how it turned out. This was our first major home project and we are so pleased that we did it, and chose Oak Valley. We love coming home to our patio and sidewalk!!
Bruce is extremely knowledgeable and talented in his design. He hand-draws the design and knew the measurements of our project exactly. We had consults with other companies that used a computer to generate the images and design, and those designers were not as knowledgeable about our project, as it seemed that they were relying on the computer to problem-solve or create the design. Bruce listened to our needs and wishes for the projects. He even made plant recommendations to increase visits from various pollinators, which was important to us in the design.
Tyler and his crew of installers were also fabulous! They arrived to work on time every day of the project, usually arriving 10-15 minutes before the start of the day (e.g., would arrive at 8:45 am for 9:00 am start). They were very respectful and very hard working. They were tidy and a great crew!
The electrician was also fantastic, as well as a siding contractor, as we realized that the builder did not put siding on a section of our house, which was discovered after tearing down our 20+ years old deck for the patio.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and are so thankful for Oak Valley. They truly treat their customers like family!!
We’ve tried several companies the last 5 years for leaf cleanup and removal in the Fall. This is the first time we’ve been really happy with our service! With some companies, we paid some high prices for that service only to receive a half-done cleanup job. It was a breath of fresh air to see Lawn Surgeons RVA did it all for a great price and actually did it well. They even cleared the sticks/debris from our yard while they were at it!
Easy to work with and will be contacting them again next time we need leaf cleanup or lawn services.

Compared to traditional Men's barber shops, I like the punctuality and professionalism a lot better. I want to be able to book an appointment and not wait long when arriving. Sport Clips does that. The stylists are patient and accommodating. I moved and Mechanicsville became my closest location. I'll be back.
I came in as a last minute appointment. I got in right on time. Lily took the time to ask and listen to what I needed. I had a botched at home blonde job that I needed fixed. Lily made sure she took her time to carefully fix my mess of a head of hair. She also asked for her coworkers opinions and consult with them to make sure I got nothing but the best. I can’t recommend her enough on her beautiful job on my color correction and not only is it perfect but she matched my hair it’s back to its natural blonde. I will be going back to her for touch ups and not DIY at home anymore! I def wanted to post a review because unfortunately I had to rush out at the end and left it wet (I have curly hair) and didn’t feel like I told her how much I really loved it especially when it dried. Thank you Lily so much!!! I tried to take some quick photos with my hair half straight to show the color and cut. I usually wear it curly and it looks even better with the curls! Brand new to Virginia just moved here from Florida dying for a place to get some rays! I can’t remember the girl at the front desk name, but she was very sweet! My review is mainly on the incredible amount of rays. I got in five minutes! Their equipment is top-notch. I would rather drive a half hour to Mechanicsville than go to the dirty dump in Quinton. At least I know the beds are clean and the staff is professional. I bought one tan just a test it out. I will definitely be back for membership.?
Vivian gave me the best pedicure I have ever had! She gave me a wonderful leg and foot massage as part of the pedicure. I felt pampered. Vivian also gave me an awesome manicure with gel polish. I was extremely happy with the service and will see Vivian again!

I’d never had my hair cut at Donna and Co, but Donna was willing, at short notice, to cut my hair before I traveled out of town. She is friendly, cuts hair very well, and I walked out of her salon feeling I’d been with a pro who made me feel like family. Her prices don’t take a bite out of your bank either.
I have been going to Salon VIP for a few months now and have had my appointments as well as my daughter’s appointments with Bri. I cannot say enough about how great she is, not only in doing my hair, but in having the patience and ability to provide quality haircuts to my five year old and my two year old. She listens to what I want and makes suggestions when I ask for them or need help in deciding what to do with my hair. She’s kind, sweet, and just fun to be around, which I think is important when you’re sitting with someone for a long time!

Nkanola was so welcoming , friendly, and professional! She talked me through everything and explained in detail what she was doing/going to do throughout the wax. I appreciate her being so patient with me and for her always making sure I was comfortable. I also appreciate the fact she made sure I knew after care tips. She did not rush through, she was very persistent, and gentle. I have given birth 4 times naturally and I felt more comfortable and relaxed with Nkanola than when I had my kids. Our conversations were enjoyable and I even stayed a few minutes after just to talk some more(I was her last client of the day). Overall, I had a great experience and I definitely will be a returning client!!!
10/10. This was my second wax by Roz and I'm mega happy. She's very professional but easy to talk to, and I'm not much of a chitchatter. I'd recommend to anyone. I also LOVE that she uses minimal products after because I have sensitive skin and she doesn't try to push or sell anything like bigger chains tend to do.

Awesome company. I called them in a pinch and they were able to come out and resolve a poor plumbing job done by a previous plumber. This marks the 3rd time I have used them after being referred to by a neighbor. The first time was for a new hot water heater and they did a great job then. I brought them in while updating my kitchen and did a great job again on short notice. This most recent need was for a sewer backup caused by a root getting in to a poorly done connection. They got the work done and cleaned up everything and were gone before I knew it. Their communication is great and very responsive.
While I hope to avoid major plumbing work, I would call Aguilar again without a thought for any plumbing needs.
I had a problem with my water spigot and with no hesitation, they were able to come out same day.
Just had major work done replacing the main sewer line under my house, including the pipe running to the septic tank. The problem was accurately diagnosed, explained, and fixed within the designated time frame. Curtis was very professional and did an excellent job updating our old cast iron pipe with a new PVC pipe. Sean did the original drain cleaning and found the problem thanks to his professional experience. This company has my business and recommendation for the foreseeable future.

I loved the job that M.W. Butler Electrical did on installing an EV charging station at my home. I want to particularly thank Chase Butler for obtaining a certain adapter that I needed. While there was a delay, he did an excellent job in keeping me informed throughout the process of obtaining it.. In addition, I would like to single out Jack Foutz. He not only installed the adapter, thereby completing my charging station, but he also came back in order to spackle some holes in my garage wall. He was extraordinarily pleasant and considerate. Brian and his team completed a primary room addition (w/ADA accessible bathroom) earlier this year. We enjoyed the experience so much that I'm submitting another request for a full bathroom remodel (literally today), with a kitchen remodel coming.Let me tell you why I recommend them...(1) The upfront pricing made everything super transparent. We knew how much everything was going to cost before even starting the job and we understand changes to cost as the team found other issues (like plumbing updates) during the remodel. (2) Upfront scheduling kept the job moving as advertised. We could view the schedule a head of time and adjust our plans around what was coming up and have confidence that Brian and team were actually going to get that task completed. (3) Brian and his team are just wonderful humans. We were never talked down to, we were treated as equals in the process and we just really enjoyed every interaction. I've never said that about a contractor before. (4) Brian is meticulous (I wish I could bold this) - during framing day his entire job was validating the spacing, the placement, comparing back to the plans so that he can insure inspection passed quickly and that we were getting what was designed. During finishing touches he found every scrap, every bump, every little thing and marked it to be fixed before closing the job. And he was at the job site almost every day quality checking the progress along the way.Highly, highly recommend!

Universal has highly skilled technicians who are well educated in entomology. When we have had challenges with ants or other insects, even mice, and problems occur inbetween quarterly treatments($95 per quarter), Universal is quick to come to our home to problem-solve and expertly, thoroughly treat. Ian, on of their technicians, re-treated our home for ants indoors, outdoors, around trees and did an amazing. He even treated our attic and the soffit under the outdoor guttersaff; because we are quarterly customers, there was no additional charge. If you are looking for an exterminator, look no further. Elrod & Dunham Dentistry is the FIRST place to take my personal wellbeing into account first and foremost. My appointment was scheduled quickly and conveniently for me. I’ve had a tooth pulled, a tooth filled and third appointment will be a cleaning and onto more fillings. They take it at my pace. I love that. I can even wear my headphones during the visit. The dentist and technician I’ve seen are great!

An awesome chiropractor that I'd suggest to everyone. He explained everything to my 17 year old son so much that he even said how much he loved him. The front desk was also smiling and very welcoming. If you need a chiropractor this is the place.

Just had my first ever adjustment here from Dr Williamson. Very professional and welcoming establishment. Even without insurance it's very affordable. I will definitely be a regular here. Excellent customer service & Dr. Broadus & staff took great care of our dog for TPLO surgery. Discharge instructions & medications explained Dos & donts clear. She doing good morning after. Ate her a little breakfast outside twice & resting now.
Bell Creek was very kind, helpful and super supportive of our small emergency. The office itself had such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were wonderful. We greatly appreciated how thoughtful the techs and doctors were in walking us through our elderly pug’s treatment and making sure he was feeling better. He is already almost back to himself and we are so grateful.
I can express how wonderful Dr Callahan and the staff at Mechanicsville Animal Hospital are! I had to put down my service fur baby. They were so compassionate and made awful situation as best as they could. Dr Callahan was so gentle with the process. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But, they all were so sweet, kind and respectful of our feelings. I can’t even put it in to words how much I appreciated them. RIP Hera Rose 10/7/2024

This place is the best. We have been coming here since we moved to the area in 2020, and they feel like family to us now. They’re great with both our dog and our cat, but most of all they just make it easy to take our animals there. They work us in when we have a sick dog and they have a cancellation, they are affordable, and they never push anything at us. Carrie and Rebecca in the front office are the best, and the doctors and techs are so kind and loving to the animals. If I lived 2 hours away, I’d still come here.
I won't trust anyone else to take my Dachshund to. My "Dach" has been going for years and very timid at times but I feel very comfortable with leaving her in such good hands.

I cannot overstate how grateful my family and I are for Alexis and her team at Fuzz & Suddz. They have been simply fantastic with boarding our pet cat, Tofu, at their facility.
Long story short we moved from the USA to Australia and the import process for our cat got horrendously messed up by our old vet, meaning Tofu had to stay in boarding for around four months. We were very worried about her being separated from us as she'd always had such a hostile disposition towards anyone outside our family.
However Alexis and her team were absolutely wonderful. We received frequent updates about Tofu, managed to arrange video chats with her, and it was abundantly clear that she felt comfortable, happy, and most importantly loved by the people there. Every time we saw her she was out and about and snuggling up to the staff showing genuine affection. It was truly heartwarming for us to see our fur baby being cared for so well. They even took her to her necessary vet check ups and appointments for us!
I can absolutely and whole heartedly recommend them as a boarding facility. They are just wonderful, helpful, and compassionate people who understand how important pets are in peoples' lives.

I needed a quick grooming for a foster dog prior to going to his new home. Justin got me in the same day, and took care my shitzu who had matting behind his ears too.
