I was having major frizzy problems this summer. so I thought I would try a keratin treatment which I had heard about from others. I went to Sherry after looking at reviews and location, etc. She was fantastic! She spent four hours! working with me and my hair. she was pleasant? professional, snd fun, and did a fantastic job. I can't recommend her enough. oh and my hair looks great.

Thought I wouldn't find another stylist to do my hair but then I found Nania Jenna. I have never seen or heard of someone doing waist length braids under 5 hours in my life! I thought it would take at least 3 people. She finished my hair in 4hrs after wash and blow dry then completed a free part braiding. I'm blown away still. She's professional and pleasant to speak to. Will return!

i went in for a simple haircut, but was greeted like a familiar stranger right away. The lovely woman did an amazing job and was great and knowledgeable about hair, id recommend trying this place.
I have been going to McNair Barber Shop for almost 3 years. I have never had an issue with any of the barbers with my hair. They know me from my hair style and I generally get the same few barbers because I go every other Sunday when they open at 10am. Cash only isn't a problem for me as it's easy enough to prepare a head of time. For the people complaining about them speaking in their native tongue...so what. If you are that self conscious about them talking about you, then you probably deserve it. I'm willing to bet that it's just easier for them. There are more important things in this world to complain about.
Been here a few times before or after a movie. The inside is just a normal barber shop- nothing fancy and most of the time everyone's working. The haircut is very good but then again I am not asking to do something elaborate- usually just razor and some cuts on top. One ding is they only take cash or check which is a bummer. The cash price, to be fair, is less than surrounding places so I guess they are passing the savings to customers I guess.

My husband and I have been going to Lena's Nails for over ten years and have always been impressed with her professionalism. Her is salon very attractive and very sanitary. She stocks all the latest colors and products. I have gotten excellent manicures, pedicures, facials and eye lash tinting, and she provides many other services as well. Lena herself is extremely competent and thorough and her warm and welcoming personality has made us love her. We always look forward to visiting her!

I’ve been to this place four times now and each time it just gets better and better! The last visit, I had three friends tag along with me and we had such a great time/experience.
The patience these women have is incredible, because let me tell you, I can be a piece of work when it comes down to the nail designs and accessories! Not one person has complained, rushed, or has shown any type of negative attitude towards me at any time, during any of my appointments.

Came all the way from Memphis to VA ‘ and I must say every other nailshop tried to triple charge me , this nail shop was the only ones who satisfied my needs . I can’t emphasize what amazing of an experience I had at VIP’s Nails & Spa. I walked in for a mani and pedi on a Saturday afternoon and was assisted immediately.
Lyn did my nails and I can confidently say she was one of the best nail technicians I’ve ever had and I’ve done a lot of manicures and pedicures in my life. She was meticulous, did not rush, and was gentle when doing her work. They dip your hands and feet in wax which I LOVED and everything was reasonably priced.
I came from out of town for the weekend, but I would go to her every week if I would live here. Five stars, stellar experience. Highly highly recommend!!!
They did an excellent job with my manicure and pedicure, but even more important than that, was the way they greeted and treated every customer that came through while I was there - it was really amazing. In fact, I even wanted to give them an extra large tip simply because of how kind they were to all the other customers. I would definitely go here again.

I got my wedding dress and veil cleaned and preserved and I think they did a fabulous job! The preservation was a bit pricey and don’t have anywhere to compare it to. In the end I felt like the price was reasonable for the service and I was happy with the results.

I called APS 4 years ago when I broke my leg. I had never used a cleaning company before and they did such an amazing job I kept them for 4 years. Patty always contacted me the day before to make sure I was ok with them coming over and was always accommodating when I needed to change the date of service. On several occasions the house was worse than usual because of gatherings, I was super busy at work or not feeling well. Any time I felt that something wasn’t cleaned to standard she always fixed the problem as soon as was possible.We recently had to move and hired her for the clean out move. Munoz Construction has completed two projects in our home and we are extremely pleased with their work. The most recent project was a kitchen update wherein they replaced the countertops, backsplash, downdraft exhaust fan, spice cabinet pull out organizer, sink, faucet and disposal switch. They also did some carpentry work, repaired and painted drywall, and coordinated the installation of the new countertops as well as repurposing the granite from the kitchen to the basement bar area with the stone contractor. Jose and his team (Pedro and Armando) arrived promptly each morning and were a pleasure to work with. They were always respectful of our home; laying down drop cloths to protect our floors and thoroughly cleaning up the work spaces at the end of the day. They worked tirelessly to solve complex issues and create innovative and cost saving solutions. Ryan Reph completed a kitchen remodel in our townhome in November 2023. They did a fantastic job and we are very happy with the work they completed!We mainly communicated with Michael, who gave the initial estimate and assisted with materials purchases. He was extremely helpful and always available to answer any questions we had about the project. For materials, we were able to get what we wanted more or less in budget based on their guidance.Michael and the work crew were always very prompt and courteous, making the renovation process as minimally intrusive as possible. Along the way we encountered some additional unanticipated fixes, but Michael helped us figure those out with minimal impact to schedule and budget.Overall, we cannot recommend Ryan Reph and his team enough! We would absolutely hire them for another project in the future!

After years of disappointing and sometimes uncomfortable experiences with other dentists, finding Dr. Calvin Nguyen, DDS has been a game-changer. He’s patient, thorough, and genuinely listens—always taking the time to answer my questions. I appreciate his practical, no-pressure approach; he’s never tried to push unnecessary procedures.
Over the years, I’ve had my share of dental work—fillings, a crown, and multiple periodontal cleanings—so I know what a bad experience feels like. With Dr. Nguyen, it’s the exact opposite. My most recent crown and a periodontal cleaning were both completely painless, comfortable, and stress-free. I finally feel like I can trust my dentist, and that’s priceless.
If you’ve been nervous about seeing a dentist or have had less-than-great experiences in the past, I can’t recommend Franklin Dental and Dr. Nguyen highly enough.
I’m actually happy to get my 6mo cleanings and don’t have my legacy dread!

My 12 year old son had low back tightness and after his treatment Monday he is still saying his tightness today (Wednesday) is gone and his movement feels so much lighter and easier to perform. I had restricted motion in my shoulders and pain at the top of my foot when stepping out of bed for the last 3 weeks. Since my treatment on Monday the restriction has been relieved and I noticed Tuesday and Wednesday morning I don’t have the pain on the top of my foot!
We were specifically looking for a chiropractor who utilized adjustments along with ART(Active Release Techniques) as part of the treatment. Dr. Synder was amazing from performing the movement evaluation, his wholistic treatment approach, as well as educating us on future stretching and exercises to help address the root cause of our issues.
Truly appreciative that Dr. Synder was able to accommodate my son and I on short notice while visiting family in Virginia. We will be booking appointments with him next summer when we return for a summer youth football camp in the area!

Dr. Canzano has made such a difference in how I feel! She is amazing and I wish I had gone to her sooner. My husband just saw her for the 2nd time today and he agrees, she is fantastic! Imagine being so stiff and sore that just standing up from the sofa after watching a 30 minute tv show and you hurt and feel so stiff that you walk bent over for the first couple of minutes. Then imagine after a treatment from Dr. Canzano and getting up from the sofa without hurting, not stiff, walking normally! My neck and lower back have been so stiff for a long time, to have that huge improvement is wonderful. It is a difference in quality of life. I would recommend to everyone, even if they already have a chiropractor, TRY DR. CANZANO! She is not like all the rest. She even uses kinesiology to check things and that is a whole other skill set which is very useful and impressive. She is intuitive and sharp, and a super nice lady. I also want to mention that this office is run so well by Shirl that you are seen on time, you don't wait for ages like other offices. They pride themselves on not keeping patients waiting which is such a nice change from the usual!

I have been taking my Shih Tzu to Canine Carousel for about 4 years now. He has always been very anxious about the groomer and is not always on his best behavior when he is scared. They have been SO patient with him and have really worked to make his experience with grooming more positive. As an added bonus, he always looks great after grooming day. Highly recommend!

I have been studying at Health Advantage for 20 years and highly recommend it. The teachers are highly trained and supportive; the atmosphere is friendly and non-cliquish; and the classes are thoughtfully sequenced to allow students to deepen their practice and work safely into more complex poses over the course of a session. The teachers did an amazing job adapting to the pandemic and providing online classes; Susan (the studio owner) is now moving cautiously and safely toward in-person classes. HAYC is one of the oldest yoga studios in Northern Virginia for all the right reasons, so do yourself a favor and practice here!

I developed a balance disorder that causes me to feel unsteady. One of Christy's specialties is Craniosacral Therapy which is used to help my condition, among others. I have only seen her a few times, and she has already helped reduce my symptoms. Christy is a very skilled practitioner, and I highly recommend her. I will be back.
This was my first lymphatic massage ever, and it was a great experience! Netta is a lovely person and her massage space is very nice, inviting, and relaxing. She took the time to explain the process and benefits of lymphatic massage, and the experience was enjoyable and relaxing. In the day following my massage, I noticed less pain (I was previously dealing with back and neck issues), easier mobility, and reduced swelling in the lymph nodes in my armpits. I'm really glad I chose to do this!

I've been seeing Tracey for well over 10 years, pretty consistently on a monthly basis. Simply said, you will not find a CMT out there who has a better understanding of how massage and anatomy relate to total wellness. I had bilateral knee replacement surgery and was referred to ACE Rehab as a place that could accommodate patients recovering from that procedure. It was very fortunate for me because Dr. Tonya Mitchell and her staff took great care of me. They both encouraged and challenged me through throughout the rehab process, and thanks to the results, my doctor has been very pleased with the rapid pace of my recovery. It's hard to make rehab fun, but Tonya and the rest of the staff at ACE made it a very rewarding experience, and I'm grateful to them.
After experiencing multiple skin issues and being prescribed steroids and antibiotics, I visited Striving for Health. I worked with both DeBritt and Stacy and already have had better results than I did on multiple rounds of medicine. I had a rash/breakout around my mouth and my dermatolgist put me on a month of antibiotics (which wasn't working). Stacy recommended that I change my toothpaste and it cleared my rash in a few days!

Got tired of shelling out money for specialty massage therapists and chiropractors to treat years of recurring (and worsening) back pain. He tried a few things and 3 days out from my first treatment and my 8/10 back pain was 0/10. Not everything has such quick results in the alternative med world but I am pleased to say the least.
