If you want to know the best 0laces to show off to your friends, family, coworkers in the MD/Northern Virginia/DC region . . . Normally my recommendation would be to go to a bar and tip heavily and establish a good image with service industry people, which is always a good idea. But with two haircuts from the barbers/stylists here, I discovered half a dozen amazing restaurants and markets that I hadn't experienced while living and performing here for almost a decade. These folks are some of the most amazingly well-traveled, cosmopolitan, experience-seeking polymaths I've ever gotten to talk to, and at least two of them can easily eclipse my own ridiculous travel experience...read full review
