I can't believe it has taken me so long to get around to leaving this review. Aaron was recommended to me by the chiropractor that I had been visiting for several months. When she recognized that chiropractic adjustment was not what my body needed, her one and only recommendation was Pierson Physical Therapy. She explained that he was different, he is a manual PT, which I didn't entirely understand until my first visit. This isn't somewhere where I go to do mundane exercises and leave feeling the same as I did when I got there. He is using his hands to release the muscles that have been restricting me. He is using his expertise to move my body in ways that it isn't able to on it's own. He is retraining my body to know how to do those movements on it's own, once those restrictions are taken away. I mean it when I say that taking that recommendation was the best decision of my life. After my very first visit I had full confidence that this was the guy that was going to fix me. His philosophy is to find the root issue, determine why it is happening, and correct the imbalances, dysfunctions, or limitations. He understands that strengthening isn't always the fix. That medication isn't making the problem go away. I am blown away by his ability to determine what's not working and why in a matter of minutes. His knowledge of the human body and how every single component works is incredible. It is obvious that this is his passion. Never have I ever felt that any treatment was a cookie cutter type treatment that he just does for every patient. Now you may be wondering, if he's so great, why are you still having to go see him 2 years later? Well, that would be entirely my fault. It took some time to initially determine why I was having these recurring spasms, as I was unable to recreate it in an appointment. But he started in one area that needed attention and each session we got closer to finding the root of the problem, fixing every imbalance and restriction along the way. Then one day, the spasm was there during session, and that's all it took. He determined exactly what motion, what exercise I needed to do to knock that spasm out. And ever since then, I have very rarely had that same issue recur. And when it does, I am able to get rid of it. However, not long after making this wonderful discovery, I made some poor choices and caused a whole new slew of back/hip problems. He has managed to fix every problem I have come to him with thus far, and there have been many. I am so thankful to be living nearly pain free again. We are still working through some issues, but with each session we get one step closer to getting my body moving the way it was meant to. And when I have a flair up, he does everything he can to get me in and back on my feet. There is no other medical professional that I trust more with my body than Aaron. I have full confidence that whatever your problem is, he can help you.
