We first met Sebastian and his team at CMD Electric through a referral to install Gemstone lights on our house. We were so impressed with the quality of workmanship that we had them back again to install a home generator. And they impressed us again by how fast, efficient and fairly priced the service was. They took care of everything (including the coordination of electrical, gas and landscaping).
We recently needed exterior and interior electrical done, and CMD was who we went to again. The team was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. They could have gone the easy way, which would have left us with drywall and ceiling repairs, but they came up with creative solutions (which was more work for them) and we had to do zero drywall or paint touch up's. Absolutely thrilled - I honestly cannot say enough good things about Stephanie. This was my first visit. I walked in off the street - just on a whim, even though I had been by the place so many times. I had not had a hair cut in almost a year and had been doing box dyes to cover greys for longer than that. I spoke with Steph - who was very gracious to take the time to chat with me and hear me out. From there I booked an appointment with her for the following week. Steph took the time to really listen but she also took the time to educate and inform. I wanted to do grey blending and get away from the brassy look to something more natural, manageable and not requiring a lot of work or up keep. While I was hesitant I did hand over the tust to Steph and I left absolutely amazed!!! Steph is a pure pro - you can tell it's in her blood - she takes great joy and pride in what she does. I have been a client for many years now, Gina taught me all i know about henna and my hair grew stronger and thicker thanks of her. Recently i made the mistake to try chemical process again and boy did i regret it. A hairdresser bleached my hair without telling me, well I ended up with dry and brittle hair. But thanks god Gina is always there for you if you need help. I treated my hair several times with henna and fixed the color with indigo+cassia+ amla + aloe for dryness. I've been going to Jim for over 50+ years now. I followed him from his old spot in the Whitby Mall to where he is now, and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. It's rare to find that kind of loyalty and consistency these days.
Jim has a great crew of three other barbers working with him, and honestly, they're all excellent. You can't go wrong with any of them-I've sat in every chair over the years and always walk out looking sharp.
What really makes the place special is how they treat you. It's a walk in shop , so no appointments needed, and once you have been in a few times, you aren't just another customer.They all remember your name and more importantly, they remember exactly what subjects you like to talk about. Loved my experiences I have had here for facials. Most recent facial I had was an ‘oxygen facial’. Definitely different compared to any ordinary facial. But my skin is thanking everyone there. I needed new face products as well which they recommended a Canadian brand- Skin Essence. Between the facial and the new products my skin is already showing a huge difference. Plus the experience of the facial, was amazing. Calming and I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve had noticeable hair reduction, smoother skin, and way less irritation compared to shaving. The treatments were much more comfortable than I expected, and Amelia always checked in to make sure I was okay.

We read all the reviews and went with low expectations but overall we had a great 5 hours at Thermea Spa. The check in experience was painless and the large lockers held all our stuff. Signage is terrible but it’s small so after an hour we knew where we wanted to go. The lounge offered a great light start to our day with great croissants and coffees. A lot of seating options for a few hours and then it go busy but we always finding a place to relax. We checked all most of the saunas and al the pools. They had some very warm pools and 2 cooler pools. We wished they had a few that were in between. The salt scrub station was nice and I loved the options of the cold water treatments. We had lunch at Resto with was good and took in a meditation treatment. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable. I know some people complained about people not respecting the quiet rule but that is on the patrons and not the Spa…I don’t really care if people are chatting in the sauna - to me it’s not a big deal. The ritual spa was very busy and we walked in and walked out but that was the best time to get a spot you wanted. We ended up at the hammocks and just relaxed. Value for what you paid is amazing…compared to a play or ballet…we spent so much time and could have spent the whole day if we didn’t have to come home for our kids! I think for sure we will come back.

Goddess State Tattoo Collective is such a great vibe to go get tattooed at. Alicia is just simply the best she is so down to earth and talented in her art. I recently in April lost my fur baby Chanel I immediately booked a reiki session with Alicia where I was able to get closure and cleanse my chakras. In July I knew there is only one person I wanted to Tattoo such a semimental piece of art to my arm and I immediately messaged Alicia and set up a time to get my fur baby paw tattooed on my arm. The day of Tattoo I was nervous it's been 8 years since my last Tattoo and Alicia calmed my nerves started tattooing me I barely noticed being tattooed because she kept me so calm. Her free hand script for my fur baby name is just so clean and beautiful writing. I definitely will be back for more artwork.

I have never had a cleaner before but decided to give it a try. Two lovely, hardworking ladies came for the initial deep clean. It was a little longer than I had been told it would take, but their work was exceptional and I was very pleased with the result. They were very thorough and detailed.

Scott's Window Cleaning did a fabulous job cleaning our windows. We ordered an interior and exterior window cleaning package at the recommendation of a family member. A team of four people arrived on time and were super friendly and professional. They did the job quickly and efficiently - all the hard-to-reach windows were cleaned including an arc in one of the rooms. They got into all the corners and cleaned the window screens, backyard door and screen door, and front screen door as well. They were also super respective of our home and didn't leave any mess behind. It's been three days and our windows are still sparkling! The price is also great. You can't go wrong with them!

We hired The Best Connects after seeing positive reviews for tiling our kitchen as well as renovating our bathroom. I can say without any issue Dan and his crew were the best tradespeople we ever worked with. The workmanship is amazing and he took time showing us exactly what he was doing. We are both very hands on home owners and he discussed with us everyday what he was going to do that day. He was here everyday and on time. He worked with us on an unexpected change to our bathroom design as well as did many other jobs that we asked him to do. Pictures do not do the job he did justice. Would highly recommend him to others and we are looking forward to our next project in the future.
This is our 2nd time using Whitby Landscaping and we are extremely happy we did. Work was completed as planned and we couldn't be happier with the results. The job involved trimming of the back yard cedars, removal of a large invasive tree and refresh / design of front large flower bed - a full days work for two employees. We appreciated the attention to detail that both Steve and Alex showed while on site. Dave (owner) was responsive and answered all our questions along with making great recommendations.

My backyard has been eagerly anticipating a Hot Tub for a decade and a half. This summer I decided to finally bring a Spa home. BUT I needed to expand my walkway by 4 feet to accommodate the Hot Tub AND keep my yard open for guests.
This was a small job and I was starting the project halfway through the summer so I was unsure if I could find anyone who would pick up the job.
I asked Hot Tub retailer who they recommended and they named Birk's. I had used Birk's on a different small job over 10 yrs ago and so reached out.
Bill got back to me immediately, visited my house promptly and got me a quote (which I accepted) in short order.
The crew fit me in between larger jobs, did a flawless install and were gone in less than 3 days.

Also: They have a carpenter on staff who converted a portion of my deck railing to a swing gate for easy access from the deck!
I had a great experience at this clinic. The clinic itself is so clean and welcoming. I’m really grateful for how quickly my concern was addressed and completely resolved. Dr. Shahbano and her assistant, Mary, really took the time to make sure everything was perfect before I left. I especially appreciated how Dr. Shahbano took the time to explain everything and show me photos of my teeth. All the staff were kind and friendly which made it a really calm and easy visit from start to finish!

I’ve been taking Calvin, my Manchester Terrier to Liz & Derrick for a few couple of years now for bats and nail trimmings. Calvin is a rescue and very nervous and needed a tranquilizer to calm him before I took for grooming. These people are so wonderful with him that I have not needed to give him any tranquilizers the past 4 times I have taken him and that’s with getting nail trims. I left with less tension in my body it was the perfect reset, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in need of stress relief/self care.
Stephanie is absolutely incredible, without a doubt the best massages I have ever had. She is intuitive and knows what you need better than you do yourself. She is also a lovely person who truly cares about her patients and their health, she remembers small details, what you like or didn’t like and is able to incorporate those preferences into the treatment so you get a very tailored experience.

I lucked into a last-minute appointment with Caleigh and it was an amazing experience. She did a thorough assessment, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely comfortable. She used techniques I hadn’t tried before that really helped, and gave practical advice on treatment frequency, stretches, and daily habits.
The tables are also the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced—perfect support and positioning.
Only downside is she’s fully booked, but I’ve already booked with another therapist because this was such a great first visit and easy to book online. Highly recommend.
