“AC went out during the heatwave, told me what it would cost to fix but highly recommended a new unit (the price to temp fix a 20 year unit was crazy in comparison to just getting a new unit). Had a salesperson out same day, looked at what I had and what was needed, and gave me a few options. All reasonably and competitively priced. Biggest + is that it was a no pressure purchase. Gave me a few days to think about it and talk it over, answered any questions and even offered some alternative solutions. Turnaround time was about a work week.

Installation was a 1 day, painless process and the unit looks great!

“Tim with First Mate Heating and Cooling did a thorough check of our furnace and explained what he found during his inspection. As the furnace hadn't been serviced in a few years, I expected there to be some issues. After completing the work, he indicated that things were in pretty good shape for a 16 year old system and it was safe and reasonably efficient. After the service, I received an e-mail asking if I was ready to schedule an install for a new system. In light of the feedback I received from the tech. I was surprised to have gotten this notification and therefore didn't give a top rating.“

“Called yesterday evening, appointment for 9:30am this morning. We thought we needed a new gas control valve ( estimated at $360). Ended up needing only adjustment to gas valve. We appreciate Mark's honesty. Paid $110. Would use again if needed.“

“Well here we are again a few years later but now we are getting a furnace. As soon as we tried to start our furnace this year it would not start up. We knew who to call. Your company has always been fair and competitive. We met Justin K this morning very professional and shot us straight with what as wrong. I have to admit I did try and give him a hard time on repair cost , validating costs of parts and what it would cost to keep a 20 + year old furnace going. My hubby has worked endlessly on keeping that old furnace going. Justin, understands times are tough right now. and we are a 1 person income, in our prime years. He had great empathy but sadly the parts costs out weighted the cost of a new furnace. He worked diligently on getting a good price of a new furnace and install. we really appreciated he went the extra mile. “Shout out to Michael and Carson for the job they did for us replacing our basement floor drain p trap. They recognized the issue immediately and gave us a fair bid to repair it. They kept the dust to a minimum even with using a concrete saw. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards as well. Very pleased with the result! We will definitely be calling them for any future plumbing needs. Very courteous and professional. Highly recommend them! Of course they always do a great job taking care of our heating and cooling as well. Glad they are now also doing plumbing.“

“Just had a new HVAC system replaced with American Standard equipment. Two best things about this company are, communication and the quality of install. Having worked as a construction business owner, now retired, from the start to the end this was a true pleasure to deal with. Any GC should always have United H&C on their bidders list. The quality of the install was exceptional and the line’s of communication down to the early morning text day of install with time of arrival and tech’s name should be an example to other businesses on how to do it right, the first time! “AFC KC did a couple of maintenance calls for me and did really well so I had them come out to install a Lennox system. They were very thorough in their evaluation prior to the install and pointed out that I needed to install a liner for my clay-lined chimney prior to the install.

AFC KC's price was very competitive and the install went without any issues. A few things they did for me that other installers may not have done:
- During the install, they found the HVAC's circuit breaker was broken. They replaced / fixed them without additional charge.
- I found a duct that was improperly installed by original ducting installer - they taped them for me so I didn't have to go out and tape them myself.
- They registered the HVAC unit's warranty for me.

Our luck with finding a proactive and reliable company to service and provide semiannual maintenance was turning out well either. I am so grateful that I called this company for a quote. I can honestly say I am amazed at the level of professionalism, straight-forwardness, and helpfulness of the business. I've gone through 3 other HVAC companies in the past three years for Semi-annual maintenance and major issues with our units. So after feeling totally at ease with Green Field, we had 2 rooftop 5-ton units replaced during the summertime of 2018. Because of their work, we ended up getting a 5-ton split unit unit and another rooftop 5-ton unit replaced in Nov-Dec 2018. We were not disappointed with their quotes, construction, performance, and workmanship. Eric O'Donnell is who I have personally worked with throughout both processes and he is a master at what he does. He made me feel comfortable and addressed any and all questions; even took the time to explain what each line-item was and what purpose it served, so that I could make an educated decision as to whether we wanted or needed those options. No pressure to add options or upgrades to the units. Keeps the customer in mind and the expenses - he had good parts from a unit being replaced swapped out into a broken unit in order to get it operational again (with our approval). They call ahead for the semi-annual maintenance and provide pictures to assist in addressing any concerns or issues with the rooftop units. Great experiences with this company over and over.“
