“I was looking for a contractor to repair decking and rebuild the water proofing under the deck boards on my veranda. I live in St Paul and the buildings was built in 1915. The decking had never been fixed or repaired in all those years. MV Builders was one of 3 bids and not only did their quote come in as the best prices but MV communication was also the best of all three. He explained exactly what he was going to do, stayed on budget, did quality work and ahead of schedule. I recommend this company to anyone needing work done to their home. I would use them again in a second! I should also mention there’s parts of the deck that I need to get painted, but the weather is too cold to paint so I don’t want the reviewers to think the deck was left unfinished in anyway , it wasn’t. “We had worked with Hanson at the recommendation of friends of ours. We had initially wanted to redo the kitchen in our new house. Unfortunately we had other priorities that arose and so we had to put the kitchen on hold. But Dan and his crew helped us out with some of the smaller projects including an attic project that no one could figure out. The Hanson crew, with the help of an engineer, figured it out and completed the project.

Through both those projects the team was really easy and great to work with. They took time not just to figure out how to do something but how to do it so it would work well for us and would last a long time.

We finally, years later, got around to looking at remodeling our kitchen. It was, as most South Minneapolis old houses are, a challenging layout. The design process was started early which was really great as we never felt rushed during the process. Karla our designer was great and came up with several different layouts that could work. In the end we decided against major redesigns of the layout and even with that the design we ended up with is amazing.We also really wanted to maintain the integrity of the house. According to our neighbors no one had been able to figure out this kitchen for decades and the team at Hanson did.

The demo started after all the plans were done and materials ordered which felt really good. The project did take a while and it was quite the disruption but the crew was very easy to work with, very organized, clean, considerate, and respectful. We never worried about anyone being in the house without us there or even when our kids were there. They did a great job of sealing off the kitchen, and keeping things as clean and put away as possible.

There were some communication issues here and there between us and between sub contractors but the crew at Hanson handled them quickly. All of the sub contractors were great. We can’t say enough good things about the process even though it is inherently disruptive, losing a kitchen for several months, it all moved along as it should. Even small hiccups were taken care of well.

The end result is more amazing than we could have expected. We surprisingly have more space even though we used the same layout. It is life changing. The upfront attention and outside the box thinking really paid off. We really appreciated all the attention to small things that make the kitchen so amazing now. Hanson remodeling really made this process a great one. They are so easy and great to work with.“
