“We needed our cast iron tub removed and a walk-in shower installed on the main floor. We got three other bids; Bath Fitters was the best deal by far.
David did a marvelous job! He explained things from the start, checked in with us, answered our questions, and cleaned up throughout the process. The project was finished in two days. He made some plumbing adjustments in the basement and figured out other fixes; all included in the cost. He was meticulous and careful. He wanted the job to be done right and took pride in his work. He gave instructions on how to care for the shower and to call if anything is amiss, it would be covered by the lifetime guarantee.
The photos show: 1. the bathroom before the install; 2. the start of the tub removal (David hit it with a sledge hammer and hauled out the pieces). 3. The one piece custom fit shower and the base before plumbing and accessories installed. 4. David with the finished product! 5. Now with the shower curtain and shower chair for my husband's upcoming knee surgery.
I'm pleased we were able to keep the window. David removed the wood framing and sill and installed a bullnose waterproof trim. The shower is easy to clean with the squeegee bathfitters provided. The sales rep. gave us the option to purchase our own detachable shower head to save money. We got the one he recommended and really like it. We also had the option of saving money by taking out the tub ourselves but we decided to have it done by the installer.
We are very happy with Bath Fitter, from our sales rep Tanner, to Nicole who got things lined up, and David who got 'er done, wrapped up with the assurance of the Lifetime Guarantee.”
