“I’ve been coming to this gym for about a year now, and it has completely transformed how I feel about fitness. Grayson has been my main personal trainer, and he’s genuinely exceptional — consistently prepared, incredibly knowledgeable, and always able to strike that perfect balance between pushing me and supporting me. He pays attention to the details, adjusts sessions based on how I’m feeling that day, and explains the “why” behind every movement. Training with him has made me stronger, more confident, and way more consistent with my routine than I ever thought I’d be.
I’ve also had a few sessions with Chi and Aidan, and each of them brings something unique to the table. Chi, who’s also the owner, deserves a special mention. He’s incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cares about every person who walks in. You can feel that the community and atmosphere here come directly from his leadership and personality.
The gym is clean, welcoming, and never overcrowded. Workouts are tailored, effective, and actually enjoyable. After a year here, I genuinely look forward to training and feel better than ever.

Working with Adam has really motivated me to get back into shape for all the sports I like to play (primarily tennis). My kids are teens and Pure Performance has amazing programs for young athletes who want to do off field/court training with trainers who have experience working with this cohort. No matter what time of day I’m at the gym (I’m writing this in July), there are high school and college athletes working hard with their friends— it’s a great vibe. Highly recommended!“

The trainers at the studio understood my goals and concerns and created exercise plans that helped me gain muscle while losing weight. The trainer also provided nutrition advice and monitored my weight and other metrics to ensure that I am going in the right direction.

The director was super flexible with the timing and so easy to work with. The consultation was super informative, and I loved that they did the workouts in my own space. Director Luis is a gem - he was so helpful and really worked around my plan to best accommodate my travels. I couldn't be happier with their service and attentiveness. 91 Sidney St, Cambridge“I love Catalyst gym! As a newcomer in town, the staff at Catalyst gym were so welcoming to me. I entered with a goal to get in healthier shape for my pregnancy. I was able to work out 2x a week with Danny and Ryan until I was 36 weeks pregnant. Each trainer had a nice balance of challenging me to ensure I was getting stronger and increasing my stamina, but also listened to me regarding my pregnancy progression and how I was feeling at each session. The trainer/trainee relationship with both Danny and Ryan felt very collaborative and they listened to my goals and made sure I was able to attain them safely, and make adjustments as needed for my growing belly and when I couldn't get off the floor as easily! I credit Catalyst Gym with my ability to feel healthy and fit throughout my pregnancy and motivating me to keep going! Special shout out to Ryan (a father himself) as he had some insider knowledge about training throughout pregnancy. The community at Catalyst is wonderful. I loved the small groups (max of 3 people) and everyone I worked out with was so nice. Catalyst Gym is also very accommodating when I needed to reschedule my sessions due to illness or doctors appointments. My family recently moved away from Cambridge, otherwise I'd be back at the gym! I miss it LOTS.“
