“I bought a 2013 X5M from a dealer in NJ and within the first 30 days it developed a rod knock. I'm not type of person who beats or neglects my vehicles. The dealer wouldn't stand behind the 90 day warranty they told I had when I purchased the car. This put a bad taste in my mouth because I am a man of my word and I trust people thinking that they are the same. Obviously I give people too much credit. So I started looking for engine builders with alot concern that they may not do what say or stand behind their work. After looking over the web and doing alot reading and research I decided to call Tj at Pure Performance. I was able to talk to him like he was a buddy of mine although I never met him before. I told him my story and what I was looking for and asked him if he could help. He said I can help you. I will arrange transport for your car and we will get you back on road in a couple weeks. I had my doubts about the 2-3 weeks but I really like the way he took the time to listen to me and my concerns and what I was looking for out of the new build. He gave me a estimate on the complete rebuild of the motor. Tj also told me that depending on what they find that the price may be higher. I get that I know you can't really know until you have it apart and see the damage. Tj sent me pictures through out the process. Got my approval on what needed to done. And he did what he said he was going to do. This is important to me. He knew I was flying out to Texas to drive my car home 1800 miles so he even took some time to put 250 miles on it just to make sure everything was good after the build and tuning. This ment alot to me. Last thing I wanted was a problem on the side of the highway on the ride home. I now have just over 4k miles on the new motor and it runs great. No issues, no leaks just quality work that I feel completely confident in. Tj checked in with me just to make sure all was good and I was happy. Not often do people reach out after a sale. I called him with a question not related to the engine build and he took time to talk to me which I really appreciated. The price of the build was right where he estimated and the only extra charges where things I added. I was very impressed with Tj and the Pure Performance shop and I will definitely be using them for any future work. I don't care that they are 1800 miles from me. Quality is quality.
