“The fine folks at southern comfort came to our rescue when our Air went out during the 95deg heat. I assumed the worst as our system is getting old so I asked for a quote for replacement. Josh came out the same day and saved us. we had done some remodeling and did not want to have to purchase new system just yet. he gave us a good quote to replace the system but asked if we would like him to diagnose our issue. After some head scratching he determined we had a short in the wire going to our thermostat. The lightbulb went off in my head as we had installed chair rail and base boards the day it quit working. turns out a finish nail had hit a wire to the thermostat and took us down.
Josh was great, and we are so thankful to the team there, we will use and recommend them in the future.

One of my AC units messed up and I called a different HVAC company in Lexington to come give me a quote on getting it repaired. I was told that it would cost over $2800 to repair my unit, but was strongly urged to purchase a new HVAC system, as the malfunctioning system is over 10 years old and was likely to just turn into a money pit.

Now, for context, I had used this other HVAC company to replace a different HVAC unit about 18 months prior, and had paid almost $13,000 for the unit & installation. I didn't get any other quotes for the job, and that's on me.

Now fast forward back to this week, and I was quoted out the exact same heat pump unit as I had gotten 18 months before, with a less efficient furnace (80% vs 96%), but instead of $13,000, it was going to be over $17,000 this time.

I felt that this $17,000 quote was just egregious, so after doing some research on Reddit, I found someone recommending Comfort Technologies Heating and Cooling. I called them on Tuesday morning, and was able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday afternoon for Josh Moore to come out and take a look at my system.

Josh was at my house for less than 20 minutes, and was able to repair my malfunctioning AC unit for a few hundred bucks. Within 5 minutes, he had diagnosed the issue and determined a single part is all that needed to be replaced, vs the $2800 worth of repairs I had been quoted the first time.

If you're in need of HVAC services, do yourself a favor and call this company immediately. I guarantee they'll be the first company I call when it does come time to replace my HVAC system in the future.“

“We have been having problems with indoor air quality and mice getting into our house through our HVAC ductwork. We also have fiberboard ducts, which can be damaged if cleaned incorrectly. MMI used appropriate cleaning techniques and and cleaned all the vents. They also used cameras to find the points where animals were accessing our home interior and sealed them up. This will have the additional benefit of keeping conditioned air in the ducts instead of it leaking out into the garage. Matt and Alex did a great job and explained what they proposed to do and showed me the results. I would definitely use MMI again as I have before.“
