“Welter Home Services saved me in a pinch.

I needed plumbing work by a specific date (for guests coming from Australia). I’d been trying to get this done for a couple of months. But multiple plumbers delayed me, tried to mansplain and upsell me, then the last one kept canceling at the last minute and rescheduling.

So within a week of guests arriving I had to try to find another plumber fast, and pray this one could make it happen.

My first contact with Welter was on July 8, and they got the work done early July 10!

Easy to schedule, easy to talk to a real person and not one of the ubiquitous AI phone services, so I could explain the situation. No assessment visit needed as the problem was clear, just a quick “get it working”. They got it and came through with flying colors.

Jarred came out, and he was just delightful. Friendly and professional, he got the job done and done well.

My wife and I bought a place that needed a lot of TLC, and along with needing a new water heater, we were having some major issues with the 100ish year old sewer line and a nasty smell in the house. The guys were able to fix the sewer line, replace the water heater, and find and fix the source of the smell (a break in the soil stack between the first and second floor). “It's simple. Jan is the greatest plumber on the planet. He is not only the consummate professional but explains everything that he sees and proposes before the work is done. And the work will get done - Jan will execute and take care of your issues, almost over the top. Our home is over 100 years old and had massive root issues in the sewer line. After wasting money on a number of incompetent companies I finally found someone who cared.
Vanguard is not cheap, but this is the best value in Chicago. Please pay a real professional to do the job right rather than serially wasting money on people who never solve the problem. Jan is transparent and will insist you see what is going on. Sorry to ramble, just call Vanguard.“

What I appreciated most was how honest and straightforward Jeremy was throughout the entire process. There was no pressure, no scare tactics, and no attempt to sell me something I didn’t need. Just clear communication, expertise, and a genuine desire to help solve the problem.
