I came because a friend invited me, I stayed because the direction and guidance I received from coaches was nothing other than top-notch. Again today, I told my coach I’ve been out for a few days from lifting because I pulled a muscle in my back. Christie immediately pointed out what exercises might cause an issue and gave me modifications. She was spot on and the modifications helped immensely. The coaches are all so knowledgeable and helpful. ❤️“

The trainers truly care about helping you succeed and keep the classes fun and supportive. Christina does an amazing job with the weekday classes, mixing up different activities so every workout stays fresh and engaging. Her programming delivers a true full-body workout and never feels repetitive. Justin leads the popular Saturday morning class, which has a kickboxing theme and is hands down one of my favorite workouts of the week. It’s high-energy, intense, and a great mix of cardio and strength — no surprise it’s one of the most attended classes.
Both trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve, regardless of fitness level. The gym has a welcoming, supportive atmosphere that makes it easy to stay consistent. Highly recommend Ultimate Fitness if you’re looking for great trainers who are equally invested in achieving your fitness goals, fun HIIT classes, and a strong community! ??“

249 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine“My 5-year-old daughter has been attending classes here, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well the instructors treat the kids. This is a true family-run school, and you can feel the balance between discipline, kindness, and motivation in every class.
In just the first month, my daughter made strong progress — both in technique and in confidence. The instructors know how to keep kids focused while still making the training enjoyable. They also give out small intermediate awards, which really encourages the children to work harder and stay excited about learning.
The atmosphere here is supportive and positive, and you can see that every child receives attention and guidance. For parents, it’s incredibly reassuring to watch how respectfully and patiently the staff works with the kids.
Parking is easy and never a problem.
I highly recommend this martial arts school for families looking for quality training, structure, and a caring environment.“

No two sessions feel exactly the same, which keeps things interesting & motivating, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about making sure you’re getting real value from every workout.
He can explain the science behind each movement, which helps you understand what you’re working and why. He pays close attention to form and safety, and he’s consistently on time, fully present, and never distracted (not on his phone).
Most importantly, he makes working out fun, the sessions fly by, and you leave feeling accomplished every time. I couldn’t ask for a better trainer and highly recommend him!“

I’ve gone to a lot of gyms over the years & I’ve never been to one where the owners remember everyone’s names and greet us every time! As a matter of fact, I can’t recall a single gym where I even met the business owners ?♀️
It truly feels like a tight loving family community, and the social aspect of the group classes is really nice. Especially since I didn’t know many people in the area when I moved here, I felt welcomed immediately. The 1 person I did already know from the area when I first moved to the north shore, also loves WIN athletic club and more specifically the Gruner’s. Such a fun coincidence.
I started working out here after taking a long hiatus from the gym (pregnancy + 1st time mom!). I was extremely weak & slow & uncoordinated with little to no core strength and the trainers never made me feel bad about not being as in shape as the other people in the class. Every coach whose class I took offered appropriate modifications, encouragement to stick with it, and just a really positive vibe. I have always loved HIIT classes and I appreciate the variety and different format each of the instructors bring to their classes.
Now after a few months of coming I am in better shape, I’ve lost more of my baby weight and starting to get more muscle definition, I feel more energy, and I can actually keep up with the classes! I’m excited to keep getting stronger. I feel my confidence is higher since having a baby and not feeling like myself in my own skin for a long time postpartum.
The last thing I should mention is the kids club. The child care is top notch. My son never wants to leave when we come here! On days I don’t work out, he’ll be eating breakfast and tells me he wants to go to the gym today! The staff is so loving and so good with him, it puts my mind at ease to know he is having fun playing while I take some time for myself to workout and shower/get ready for work.
If you are looking for a good workout, with childcare you can trust, and a gym that feels more like your neighborhood “Cheers” bar (but a lot healthier ?) look no further, this is the spot for you.“

As soon as you walk in, everybody, including the clients welcomes you, encourages you to not give up on yourself, and gives great nutritional advice on losing body weight. Also, Push Fitness had a great 1 on 1 connection with their clients. Former clients come and go and decide to return to this gym to tone their bodies back into shape. If you want to lose weight and do not know where to go because gyms are intimidating, Push Fitness is your gym.“
“I found Joe after looking for a trainer in the Northbrook area who would help make my training a bit more functional. I’d been lifting regularly for a few years and while I’d worked with trainers in small group settings before, Joe without a doubt stands out in not only his knowledge but his care for his clients. He listened to my goals of wanting to gain strength and struggles with things like knee pain. Since working together I’ve not only seen a difference in my strength but my understanding of training functionally and how to protect my body while hitting some aesthetic goals. On top of being an incredibly knowledgeable trainer, Joe is a great guy and that vibe is felt throughout the gym. I compete in the Pan American Masters weightlifting championships within a month so my needs were for free weights and bumper plates. Pavillion has a fantastic set up with Hammer Strength half and full racks with weightlifting and deadlifting platforms. The locker rooms are great as well with no personal lock needed. Amazing facility and worth the minimal guest fee! Thank you Elk Grove Village for providing a great facility for the needs of your community!“
