Plus, she's an absolute angel and a visit to her space is so calming and relaxing. She plays soothing music, the products all smell SO good, and she is totally non-judgemental and warm. Plus she gives incredible hand and scalp massages. Visiting her is the best treat for your hair and your soul!

When my husband and I moved to Highland Park 2 years ago, we needed to find a lot of new business and professional services, including a hairdresser. I didn’t think that would be too difficult, as there were a lot of hair salons in this area. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I tried 3 different salons, during a 2-year period. Each time, I explained what I wanted, and each time I was told that they could accommodate me. Although I stayed with each salon for several months, they were not able to give me a satisfactory hair stye. Each time, I got tired of wasting my time and money, and looked for another option. Then I found Lynn, at Untangle Hair Studio, in Highland Park! Like other stylists, before she did anything, Lynn discussed with me what I wanted. However, she also managed to find some roots of my original hair color, she considered my skin coloring, and overall appearance, and then suggested that I would look best with a darker shade. She was right, and I really appreciated her wholistic approach. Most important, Lynn was able to give me a style that was exactly what I was looking for! It has made such a difference for me, and I am so happy that I found her. I would recommend Untangle Hair Studio to everyone. It is a fresh, newly converted, welcoming space, with an experienced, talented owner.
(Just shared this review on google but I also would like to share it with y'all too!) I came in last week after finding this place online. I received an hour long (Thai) deep tissue massage by Suttida which was amazing! My back had been so sore and would ache everyday for a few months, Suttida was able to relieve me of so much of my tension! It was an intense session, she massaged my whole body, stretched my arms and legs (in ways I would've never assumed but felt relieving), and we talked if the tension was too much or not enough or just right. The whole session she was checking in on me to make sure I was doing well and if there was any spots that needed extra attention. At one point, she found this knot in my shoulders that was so tight at first it hurt and the more she massaged it I could feel the tension slowly subsiding even though this knot was so tight!! I had no idea the knot was even there yet the after relief was amazing! No joke by the end of the session I felt like a whole new person! I walked out and had released so much tension throughout my whole body, I didn't even know was possible! I would definitely recommend this massage salon :)! Also I'd love to mention that Suttida is such a sweet soul and very kind. You cannot go wrong with this massage salon!

She also provided valuable advice on daily face care. Janet is a true professional who genuinely cares about her clients. The customer service was excellent. I highly recommend her services.
I am very satisfied with Yevgenia, she is a master, high professionalism and an excellent approach, I can confidently say that I am a picky client and it is difficult for me to please, but with Yevgenia everything was at a high level, the atmosphere, drugs, individual approach, useful procedures that noticeably brought results to my facial skin, I will gladly return to this salon!

2024 kicked off with a basement floor..never fun! We ripped out our carpet, among other things from the damage, and decided to do vinyl floors. A friend who just redid her basement bought her vinyl floors from Carpet Central & Hardwood Flooring so I went there to check out all the options. I brought home a bunch of samples that looked good and facetimed with my decorator (who recently moved to Dallas) to find the best one. They all appeared a bit grey so I returned and brought home so more samples. This time I got it right and had Mike price it out for me. My contractor thought the price was very fair so we decided to move forward. When I checked out the samples I thought in stock meant in Illinois, but it was in the warehouse in Georgia. It took about a week to get to us, which was pretty fast, but I was hoping to start a week earlier. My kids are going a little stir crazy without a basement in the winter! As Mike promised it came in exactly a week after ordering and he worked with my contractor to pick it all up the next day. I did get an invoice that day even though I had paid for the floors a week earlier, but Mike apologized for the mix up. The floors are currently being installed and I look forward to seeing the finished product!
Zach is amazing! We have booked him twice now for carpet and upholstery cleaning and we are always left incredibly happy! We just recently sold our house and wanted fresh carpets for our buyers and Zach was able to come last minute and the carpets were PERFECT! Jenny is one of the most talented colorists and stylists I've ever had the pleasure of going to! She corrected my color and then made it the most beautiful shades of highlighted blonde! I went to her because I heard she was an incredible colorist I didn't know she also is a stylist. So I had her cut my hair and I am so delighted that I made that decision since it's one of the best cuts I've ever had! On top of being such a fantastic colorist and stylist She is also one of the nicest people I've ever met and it's such a pleasure to be in her studio. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Absolute miracle workers tbh. Lena in particular is my hero for her ability to tackle my extremely long, extremely thick hair in record time. For context, I'm someone who has had salon workers who've never worked with me before take up to 2 hours on my hair; the stylist I've worked with the most could do my hair in an hour. And then there's Lena: her first time giving my hair a blow-out, it took her about 45 minutes with a bit of back-up. This most recent visit, though? 30 minutes, all on her own. Is she a wizard?? If you're like me and both (1) on a budget and (2) looking for someone who can handle a whole lot of hair, I definitely recommend the Highland Park location! If you likewise have really for real a ton of hair, I'd suggest calling ahead rather than booking online to ensure that they'll have enough time for you, especially on short notice. (Normally every appointment slot is just 30 minutes, but if you communicate with them over the phone you can work out a longer slot.) Or else you could just book with Lena directly, since apparently she's magic! As for BloOuts as a whole: pretty standard blow-dry bar, if you've been to one before. Small but classy space with a bright, airy feel. Not as chi-chi as Dry Bar, which I think is probably the most well known of this type of salon. It feels a bit less luxurious as a result, but the results are just as good and the vibe is more personal.
No appointment necessary but I have had to wait up to 20 minutes. Their new location is larger than the previous one near Metra and tucked off the street. Price and attention can’t be beat when all you want is a good clean haircut.
I have been going to the Barbers for years and have always gotten great haircuts. I’ve tried all of the barbers and they are all great, but Alfredo is my guy. Barbers are always on time, listen to clients, shop is clean and good looking, and location is super convenient. They also make everyone feel very welcomed. I highly recommend this shop for both adults and kids.

This is Jen Pen. I met Zolboo in a social setting. She told me about her craft. I had NEVER had a facial and only knew about them from friends and the movies. She probably did the “starter” version for me - I have no clue - but it was ENJOYABLE. I highly recommend this self care experience. Street parking is free. The space is private and delightfully decorated. Zolboo is informative and gentle with her skin care recommendations. Not a hard sell. My company held a private event for about 20 people at Legendary in Highland Park. Multiple guests said it was the best pedicure they'd ever had. Several guests got their brows done by Hannah, and they all looked amazing. Even if we don't host another event there, I'm certain all the people who went will be returning to Legendary on their own time. Thank you for a great event!

Don't think I've ever been so impressed with a plumber. Upon first contact Konstantin was here in 20 min. and had me a quote within the hour. I called to confirm the work and he came out and got it done in about an hour. The price was 1/3 that of other quotes and the work was high quality. For context, I grew up in a family of plumbers so I know what good looks like. This plumber is a diamond in the rough - he will be my first call for any future work! Call these guys first for your next plumbing issue.
John and his team installed a sewer clean out for us. They were able to work around some paver bricks to avoid us having to reset which was a major plus. Everyone we worked with was professional and communicated well. Would definitely recommend if you have sewer work you need done.

We had an architect design a 500 sq. ft. single story mother-in-law suite to add onto the back of our house. I got three bids from contractors in the area. I have experience in the construction industry as a project manager, so I am familiar with the design/build process.Working on the design and details with *** Shrago was a delight. While we ultimately decided not to go ahead with the construction due to my mother-in-law's health, I would have hire him and his team in a heartbeat. I will list the reason why I would hire *** and his team for any home construction project.1. *** lives in our community and has been building here for well over twenty years. He is well regarded by his competitors.2. He was straightforward with managing customer expectations. He was timely and responsive, brought every member of the trade onsite to ensure they gave accurate estimates for the work.3. He properly priced the entire project. In the construction industry, often time issues are left out of bids in order to secure the work. Contractors will inevitably include change orders as a way of re-capturing costs that were not addressed. The other contractors I solicited bids from did this, and it was clear that the bids were not "apples to apples". *** captured every line item in the process from start to finish and it was refreshing to be presented with an accurate, comprehensive proposal. 4. *** uses proper project management software and shares the process, timelines and cost estimates directly with the client via a web portal. This is the sign of a competent builder. Too many renovation or new construction projects wind up disappointing the client due to a failure to meet deadlines. I had no doubt that our construction would have been carefully tracked and any delays (which are common in construction scheduling) incorporated into the process.Anecdotally, *** built two of our friend's houses and they are extremely happy with his work.

First thing he said to me is that his # 1 priority is my health and to save my teeth. Gradually he had to remove few old bridges and crowns. Inspect under and do necessary work. He did excellent job, because my mouth was a mess. Not an easy task for doctor. My bridges and crowns were at least 10 years old. Last summer he did right side, and everything is holding good! I'm going back for the left side this spring. Monica at front desk is very helpful with any insurance issues. Angie did the best deep cleaning ever! Carmen - exceptional help! State of Art new equipment, instruments, mouth scanners! TV monitors with live TV on the wall in front of each chairs in each stations. I mean everything - 5 stars!!Thank you!

Brad is an amazing chiropractor. I’m an occupational therapist and have seen Brad for many back issues that have come from all of the physical work I endure daily though my profession. He has helped me to feel my best and be able to work to my full potential! So grateful to have Brad as my chiropractor! Highly recommend him to anyone!

I'm super happy with my dogs grooming and excellent service. I have 2 corgis that I generally maintain,wash, trim, nails, brush teeth, etc.. but when I'm done with them, they look & smell nothing like when I picked them from this business. The work of a professional is always way better when professionally done by someone who knows what they are doing. I will happilly return, and recommend. Great work, good customer service, and turnaround.
Two paws up for Furry Finesse from our fuzzy friends. They like the hot oil treatments and special attention and come home looking great, smelling great, and sooooooo soft (no knots or tangles)! A barking good time!

Deborah is a wonderful masseuse. She is professional, excellent at her craft, but also exceptionally caring about her clients. She took care of me during a difficult pregnancy, and I cannot recommend her enough. She is also very reasonably priced. I will be recommending her to others.
So worth it. We usually pay close to $200 per massage, everyone was booked up, but we needed a nice massage after a long road trip and it was literally worth every single dollar!

Dr. J and the team helped me to reconnect with and believe in my body again after 4 years of chronic back, neck, and referral leg pain, as well as several other doctors/treatments. The intake session was thorough; Dr. J made me feel listened to and treated me like an individual, not to mention he's quite funny! His diagnosis and treatment plan were spot on. His staff, Cyprian and David, were excellent to work with. They knew when to push me, always checked in with how each exercise was feeling and appeared to keep detailed notes each session. They're both very friendly and I looked forward to the exercises (and the massages!) each week. Dr. J, David, and Cyprian are very knowledgeable and helped me understand what might trigger a flare up and what specifically to do to treat it. I learned a lot about how to sit, stand, walk, lift, strengthen, and stretch in ways that are beneficial long term. Caroline was great in helping me set up appointments that would work for my schedule and my insurance requirements. Working with North Shore Spinal gave me faith in feeling better and the results I needed to pursue more labor intensive work and enjoy a more physically active life. Oh my! I am so lucky to have found Rena! Let's clarify. I am newer to her practice BUT what I have experienced so far has been wonderful. I decided to check out more about acupuncture after hearing benefits from more and more professional athletes. I am looking for help with multiple symptoms. After looking at more current research, reviews on Yelp, and North Shore Chinese Medicine, I decided to give it a try. Rena was the utmost professional. Quick response through email. Thorough steps explained of what to do. Welcoming and a wonderful bed side manner. I was able to get into her for my first appointment within a week of contacting her. Her office is lovely. Spacious. Private. Homey. There is parking right out front-street. The price was reasonable. I can't wait to go back again! What a wonderful alternative or compliment to modern medicine.
