“We had an architect design a 500 sq. ft. single story mother-in-law suite to add onto the back of our house. I got three bids from contractors in the area. I have experience in the construction industry as a project manager, so I am familiar with the design/build process.Working on the design and details with *** Shrago was a delight. He is well regarded by his competitors.2. He was straightforward with managing customer expectations. He was timely and responsive, brought every member of the trade onsite to ensure they gave accurate estimates for the work.3. He properly priced the entire project. In the construction industry, often time issues are left out of bids in order to secure the work. Contractors will inevitably include change orders as a way of re-capturing costs that were not addressed. The other contractors I solicited bids from did this, and it was clear that the bids were not "apples to apples". *** captured every line item in the process from start to finish and it was refreshing to be presented with an accurate, comprehensive proposal. 4. *** uses proper project management software and shares the process, timelines and cost estimates directly with the client via a web portal. This is the sign of a competent builder. Too many renovation or new construction projects wind up disappointing the client due to a failure to meet deadlines.
