Mouna and her team are absolute professionals when it comes to color. They consistently deliver stunning results, and their attention to detail is unmatched.

I have a very sensitive scalp, and nearly every other salon I’ve tried left me red, itchy, and irritated for days. On top of that, my hair has a tendency to turn brassy after coloring, no matter what products were used. That all changed when I found Taylor Reese. The products they use are top-of-the-line and clearly chosen with both health and beauty in mind. My scalp feels completely comfortable during and after my appointments, and the color stays beautiful and true—no brassiness at all.

“Absolute miracle workers tbh. Lena in particular is my hero for her ability to tackle my extremely long, extremely thick hair in record time. For context, I'm someone who has had salon workers who've never worked with me before take up to 2 hours on my hair; the stylist I've worked with the most could do my hair in an hour. And then there's Lena: her first time giving my hair a blow-out, it took her about 45 minutes with a bit of back-up. This most recent visit, though? 30 minutes, all on her own. Is she a wizard?? If you're like me and both (1) on a budget and (2) looking for someone who can handle a whole lot of hair, I definitely recommend the Highland Park location! If you likewise have really for real a ton of hair, I'd suggest calling ahead rather than booking online to ensure that they'll have enough time for you, especially on short notice. (Normally every appointment slot is just 30 minutes, but if you communicate with them over the phone you can work out a longer slot.) Or else you could just book with Lena directly, since apparently she's magic! As for BloOuts as a whole: pretty standard blow-dry bar, if you've been to one before. Small but classy space with a bright, airy feel. Not as chi-chi as Dry Bar, which I think is probably the most well known of this type of salon. It feels a bit less luxurious as a result, but the results are just as good and the vibe is more personal.“

Now I drive from the city all the way out to visit her! Her new place is sparkling clean and there are no other stylists. Easy parking, and reasonable prices for both men and women. I highly recommend Lynn, and Untangled.“
