While assessing my daughter's dead furnace, Ross provided valuable insight as to why it failed far sooner than it should have and went in to great detail as to how its original installation was not up to par and led to its premature demise. He then spent a great detail of time with me telling me how he would make changes to ensure a proper installation and save us some room. “When moving into a new home/new town, we called Advantage Air for our annual tune up on both furnace and AC. Both times we received service that was punctual, efficient, courteous, and reasonably priced. But their integrity is what calls for five stars. When we needed maintenance on the 9 year old AC unit, Kelly came by to access the problem, explain clearly what was going on (refrigerant leak), offer short term and long term solutions (depending on what we were ready to spend), and circled back a few days later to access the results of the solution. There was no sales pitch to get a new unit. Offered...but no pressure. When time came to service the 10 year old furnace, we had the same experience. A nudge that the unit may need replacement very soon....but no pressure to do so. They are willing to go out of their way to accommodate my erratic work schedule and have provided additional courtesy work when that was needed, albeit not scheduled. Kelly, Steve, and Tess care that their clientele is satisfied with their service. We definitely are!“

“I called on Monday with a screeching sound coming from my air conditioner. The scheduler in the office said that they were completely booked that day but could come out on Tuesday. Wayne called me on the phone on Monday and tried to give me some suggestions. Soon after a cancellation occurred and the scheduler called to let me know. Wayne and Gary showed up at 2:00 Monday afternoon and had the air conditioner fixed by 3:45 despite having to drive 1 hour to get the replacement fan motor.“

“Very impressed witth Al who came out from Climatek. It was a very cold day in November in Des Plaines Illinois and we woke up to the furnace not running, it was already down to 58 degrees and the thermostat showed that the furnace should be running even though it was not. I was able to get the furnace fan to run so I knew it was not an electrical problem. I looked at the furnace and could not figure out why it was not running. I called three other outfits who were unable to give me a definitive time range they would commit to coming. Finally contacted Climatek, communicating via text which I thought was convenient and I got a time frame in which the tech said he would be there. He also texted me when he knew he was on the way. Within minutes of his arrival Al deternined that the problem was the pressure switch and he was able to get the furnace running by resetting it and he showed me how to reset it if the problem occured again. He provided a quote for both a replacement pressure switch and a new furnace and AC being that our furnace was 17 years old. So, bottom line, he was able to get to the root of the problem very quickly, provide the cost of repair as well as replacement very shortly after leaving. Highly recommended!“
