They’re the reason I haven’t discarded the white rug because my puppy messed it up really bad. He would sometimes pee on it, and I would clean and clean which was frustrating. I can’t thank Sparkling Carpets enough for bringing my rug back to life. Enzo is grown now and no longer messes up the rug so we can both enjoy it. “I went to Bay Area rug cleaners to buy a new rug to decorate my apartment, and Ali, the owner, was very nice to me. He had a calm and quiet demeanor and was kind enough to let me look at a carpet in my apartment before deciding to purchase it. I’ve since since stopped by sometimes just to chat and play backgammon, and I’ve seen him do a lot of repair work as well, since that’s mostly what people come in for. Cat urine, dog urine, pet stains, mold, small moth damage — it was all fixed! I’m surprised at how he was able to make all these rugs look brand new! I asked if he could teach me a couple things, to figure out how to tell the provenance of a rug, but, alas, he said that it takes years to learn, which to be fair I’m sure is the case ?Anyways, highly recommend— it’s not a polished store where you’ll get the aura of an Apple Store, but you’ll get care and service which I think is the most important.“

They do a great job, set reasonable prices and estimates, and are on time. They are hardworking and during the pandemic, wear masks and are vaccinated. “I recently asked Josh at Papillon to clean three thick-pile wool area rugs for me and also to re-size one of the rugs. I received my cleaned rugs today and I couldn't recommend Papillon more highly on all counts. They did a wonderful job with my rugs (which hadn't been cleaned in years). The rugs smell wonderfully fresh now and look amazing! I'm pretty sure that my rugs look better now than when they were brand new. The cost was exactly what Josh quoted me originally over the phone, and Josh was great about communicating with me throughout the process. Papillon picked up and dropped off my rugs for an additional fee (which Josh told me about on our first call) and that service was well worth it. Josh was exactly on time both for the pickup and the delivery. What a great company!“
