“Ruben came to clean our carpets and did an outstanding job. He arrived early, was very friendly and professional, and paid close attention to every detail. We’ve been using this carpet cleaning service for several years and really like their green cleaning options, but Ruben is by far the best technician we’ve ever had. This was actually our second time having Ruben as our cleaner, and he exceeded our expectations again. He was extremely thorough, cleaning our carpets as if they were his own family’s. Ruben managed to remove some old stains that none of the previous visits could get out—we honestly thought those stains were permanent and didn’t even mention them during the walk-through. But Ruben noticed them, used his steam cleaner, and made them disappear. We were amazed! He was also happy to help with moving furniture, including heavy items like our bed frame, and even steamed underneath before moving everything back by himself. On top of that, he offered to steam clean our mattress, which I didn’t even know was an option, and now it feels like new. Upstairs, Ruben moved all the usual light furniture and even took care of the random piles on the floor that most other cleaners just work around. No one else has ever been this thorough. Ruben is a great asset to this company—so professional, thoughtful, and hardworking. We will definitely be asking for him again next time. I also want to thank the helpful person who took my call and managed to schedule us quickly, even though my phone was barely working. Everyone was so helpful from start to finish. I really wanted to like BerryClean, because they are not only local to the neighborhood but also they appear to pay fairly and provide benefits to their employees. But today, I got a deep cleaning (required for the first clean), and for a 1BR/1.5BA it was $600. That’s just the start. The cleaning technically started at 10:30AM and ended at 5:20PM. We visited our condo after three hours of cleaning to see if it was ready, and our door was locked. When we unlocked it, we found the cleaners eating lunch at our breakfast bar and watching tv on their phones. Then, we gave them more time to clean, and at about 5pm we got a call that the cleaning was almost done. When we got home, one of the cleaners was in our bathroom and I believe clogged the toilet because the other cleaner followed her into the bathroom and they were using multiple towels to clean up water on the floor and try to flush the toilet. Moreover, my husband started to feel under the weather and I texted the cleaners to ask for an update. I was told that they don’t have an exact time but will let me know then they have an update. I never heard anything so I followed up, and only then did I receive an update from the cleaners directly — not the office.

Overall, the cleaning was good, but the customer experience was really rough. I also think it’s inappropriate to not respond to our request for an estimate on how long the cleaning would take, to clog our toilet, and to eat lunch in our home when we’ve scheduled a cleaning. Finally, I think the pricing is quite unfair. $600 for a 1BR is extreme.

I have shared this feedback with management and hope that we can come to a resolution that’s favorable, and that this experience isn’t representative of the brand.“
