“It was hard finding a new Veterinarian after our previous vet clinic closed. We tried a few, but none really stuck until we met Dr. Tais at Masson. She was personable and took her time getting to know each of my pups. The office staff, Sarah, Jennifer and Jasmine are also a very big reason we chose to stay at Masson, they're all super detailed and knowledgeable. It is so hard to find a Veterinarian that you and your pups like and it's even harder finding a great office team, but at Masson you get both! I am so so happy I found them.“

“Our cat Cosmo was very chill and cooperative with the vet. He meowed a lot but was easy to deal with, as usual, especially when he is distracted with a treat. :)

We thought that our veterinarian was informative and we agreed on what was best for our friend and we liked the advice our vet gave us. The Coastal Cat Clinic is in my opinion a great place to take your pet because they all have great knowledge on cats and are friendly people. The clinic looks clean and upkeep nicely. I never came out of there with my cat having any fleas or rashes of any kind.

I recommend taking your furry friends to The Coastal Cst Clinic. I think they’re the better deal for your pets care in my opinion, from my experience and I’ve gone to a few places around town and while they were all good, I prefer them best myself that’s why I continue to stay loyal to the Coastal Cst Clinic.

I like Coastal Cat clinic because they specialize only in cats. I think they’re clinic price for care is fare compared to other clinics from my experience. That’s why I choose them over all.

“Words cannot express how grateful I am to the medical team at SPCA for providing such world-class, empathetic, compassionate care to my previous love bug, Chestnut.

He had a critical medical episode due to an underlying condition. I called them ahead of my arriving and they were fully prepared for my arrival, remembered my cat’s name from the call hours before, and acted swiftly to stabilize him.

The veterinarian came in to deliver the news I was sadly expecting, but did it in such a way that honored the decision I knew I needed to make. They gave me all the time in the world to feed him delicious treats and a final meal, hold him, sing to him, and then hold him as he gently went “to sleep.”

While I am heartbroken, the experience was beyond all expectations and they made it possible for my beloved angel to have a dignified, honorable transition.

Thank you, SPCA, for making his end of life a truly gentle and compassionate transition. Thank you for meeting me where I was at, and for walking with me through it all and helping me into my new chapter without my best friend.

“They're incredibly amazing. It's hard for me to express it in a review (I rarely ever write reviews), but I'll try my best.

1. They're incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. One very recent example was when they caught the early kidney disease in my cat! She didn't have any signs/symptoms, but her bloodwork showed otherwise. We (me and my cat) are so grateful to the doctor and the staff for all their help with her diagnosis.

2. The pricing is fair unlike other vets in the area. Before becoming a patient here, I took my cats to a different vet. There, the doctor made it pretty clear that he only cared about money. He would charge A LOT and also try to sell you on unnecessary procedures (e.g. use of anesthesia to just draw blood or get a urine sample). Here, they go over all treatment options and pricing with you and they don't recommend things unless they think it's necessary.

3. They actually care about the pets! Just seeing how they interact and handle all of the pets (either my own pets or the pets in the waiting room) makes it clear that everyone there loves working with them. I've been at a few vets where dr/staff interactions were just transactional and cold. Being warm and kind definitely brings a level of comfort to everyone (pets + pet parents) and helps to ease an already stressful situation (the vet visit).“

“I brought my cat here after being overdue for a vet visit due to a negative experience at Banfield, and I’m so glad I chose the SPCA clinic. The doctor was incredibly kind and gentle with my cat, which immediately put me at ease. The staff lets you be present during the appointment (which is something I never could do at banfield) , they explained everything clearly, and were very transparent about pricing, which was also very affordable.

When we got home, he was immediately comfortable and didn’t hide all day like he usually did after his past visits at banfield. That alone says everything. Highly recommend.“

“Joe and Jenny are very understanding of my dog’s extreme anxiety around nail trims. They talked to me about my options and gave supportive suggestions as well as listening to my suggestions. I can tell they care a lot about my pup despite how uniquely difficult she can be. Their level of experience gives me hope for Cricket.“

“My dog and I moved to San Mateo in Feb and we were able to get set up as a new patient at Aragon pretty quick. Every visit we’ve had has been so easy and nice. Every one who works there is so sweet to my nervous lil dog. We are so lucky to have this place to take care of her!!“

“I'm not sure why people are so down on this place, other than the emergency vet is quite possibly one of the saddest places in the world. We went on a Sunday afternoon and had a three hour wait. Having also visited the pediatric ER at CPMC on a Sunday, I can tell you that this felt about standard. Our dog was triaged soon after we came in and deemed non-critical, so fair enough, you wait. They have tea and water for the humans, as well as wifi. The waiting area benches allow your pet to rest next to you. We saw Dr Kelly who was pleasant and helpful. FYI, the charges here start at $235 for an exam (as of the date of this review). Trips to the vet are never cheap, and well, it's the emergency vet, so what do folks expect? The facility is clean, the staff all were nice. At least on a Sunday afternoon, parking was not too challenging. Tartine Manufactory across the street provides a good place to grab a coffee or sandwich during your hour of need.“

“I brought my pup here for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed! This is the first vet I’ve been to who hasn’t tried to upsell me. Dr. Randle was honest and efficient. I got the test results back within a couple of hours and I got the invoice right away to submit to insurance. Daniela was very kind, efficient, and compassionate. We will be back and I’ll be transferring my other pup here too.“

“My dog has been in the care of Avenues Pet Hospital for 3 years now. It can sometimes take a while to be seen for non-urgent stuff, such as the very first new client appointment and the annual exam, but otherwise my dog gets seen quite quickly as things come up (usually within a few days, and via email or phone when I have concerns but am not sure if they are worth an appointment). They did not allow people inside for a long while due to Covid safety restrictions, but we can now go inside to wait in the waiting room, and accompany our pets during their appointment. It seems silly for other reviews to complain about this when it was for a valid reason and not an arbitrary policy. The only times I can't accompany my dog is when he comes in for his regular nail trim and gland expression as an out-patient - this is done in the back where pet owners aren't allowed. FYI I get his nails done at the vet bc he has particularly long blood vessels / quicks in his nails, so I feel safer about it being done here, even though it's a roughly-done trim and I file them smooth at home. The vets are kind and I always feel like I'm getting their honest assessment. Front desk is also always very helpful. For reviews that mention they're rude - it can depend on the person tbh, but if anything I think some can be less warm than others, and I would *not* say at all that they've ever been rude. I think they're really busy nonstop and are doing their best to get through patients in an efficient manner -- and that can sometimes be interpreted as being a little cold, when really it's just being neutral. As a society we tend to think women are "cold" when they're not overly warm and are otherwise just being normal & neutral, yet don't think that of men doing the same. So let's check our gender bias, alright? One word of advice that I learned the hard way - most medications are substantially cheaper at Chewy or Costco, so ask them to send out the prescription! The vet office has zero problem doing that and it's never awkward. It's not a perfect system since Costco doesn't have everything, and Chewy takes some days for delivery (i.e., doesn't work for meds needed the same day). I don't say this as a knock against the hospital, as I think this is common practice for vets and helps keep the lights on. I instead say this as a heads up, because I didn't know this for the longest time.“

“We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Bastian, and the team from Lotus provided the most compassionate and professional care imaginable. Dr. Seth and his assistant, Ro, arrived so calm and collected, working seamlessly together like a well-oiled machine without even needing to speak. They just knew what needed to be done. They made Bastian feel completely safe and comfortable during his final moments and allowed us to surround him with our homemade bed of flowers, which meant the world to us.

His remains arrived today, less than two weeks later, and everything was beautifully packaged with great attention to detail and quality. We’re so grateful for the dignity, kindness, and support they showed our family through such a difficult time. I can’t recommend Lotus highly enough for anyone facing this heartbreaking moment, they truly helped bring peace to ours.“

“Dr. Sutter & his staff are truly Godsent. Dr. Sutter is very kind, knowledgeable and thorough. He has been looking after our pets for quite some time now, and continues to amaze us with his skills. I have a pretty big pack at home, and they all are patients at this clinic. My kitten had a recent surgery with Dr. Sutter to have his injured eye removed. I felt very at ease knowing my little guy was in the best hands. I have another adult cat that has been Dr. Sutters patient for quite some time, and he always provides great care and recommendations during annual visits. Our two dogs also are quite nervous around people, but they absolutely love Dr. Sutter and his technicians. They are so loving and gentle to them, truly treating them as if they were their own pets. His staff is absolutely wonderful, and kind. All of my interactions with them have been positive, and supportive. I am so glad we found this clinic, and Dr. Sutter. I give them all my strongest recommendation, and appreciation for their wonderful work.“

“WE LOVE Camino Real Pet Clinic! All their staff is kind, attentive and caring. We were recommended last year around November to this clinic by my pup's groomer after she found some of Butter's rotten teeth that needed to take care of. Of all the clinics that I called, Camino Real was the most attentive one. They actually care about your pet. Dr. Ten, Butter's vet, made sure to check up fully on Butter and had all the necessary lab works before the procedure. Dr. Ten explained to me what to expect and kept me informed all the time on the day of the procedure. Though Butter needed to have more teeth extracted than originally planned, Dr. Ten only charged us for her hours, not per tooth. Thus, I'm so grateful to Dr. Ten and Camino Real Pet Clinic for their reasonable charge and superb service!

We've been a regular customer of Camino Real Pet Clinic ever since. We live in San Jose but I'm willing to drive Butter here for quality and caring pet services.

The clinic is a quaint historical house and it has a small parking lot in the back and along its side and one spot in the front. It can accommodate up to 5 cars, I believe. I've never had problem finding parking here.

Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Ten and the Camino Real Pet Clinic to anyone!“
