SPCA offers a sliding scale for residents! Although it's been a long time since we took our hamster (they areunfortunately dead now) SFSPCA helped us when the hamster accidentally pulled in Halloween webbing , his foot got trapped, so we had to rush him to SFSPCA. the vet had to amputate his leg, he recovered fine , out lived his expiration date. They didn't charge us to much. I honestly don't remember the fee, just the feeling of relief they saved our HAMMY!

He had a critical medical episode due to an underlying condition. I called them ahead of my arriving and they were fully prepared for my arrival, remembered my cat’s name from the call hours before, and acted swiftly to stabilize him.

Today we had to put our beloved cat to sleep. We have always been happy with the care at spca (although I am a little disappointed that she was diagnosed incorrectly last week and went through a further week of pain for what was her third visit for same issue). This review is specifically for dr Lindsay Wilson who rapidly figured out what was going on. Although the outcome was heartbreaking her kind and compassionate manner and professionalism throughout was nothing short of stellar. As a human healthcare professional I know how important true compassion is and we were so blessed to have Lindsay handle this difficult situation. Thank you, you made a difference today!
