My besties bought me a gift card here for my birthday so I visited for the first time this month. Booking was easy online! I found easy parking across the street. The spa is up a flight of stairs and has several treatment rooms. I chose a 90minute deep tissue massage with a hot stone add-on. While the therapist didn't go quite as deep as I prefer, the 90 minutes was an amazing relaxing experience. The value for the service was also really good. I would happily book her again.

This is the second major project I have had this company do for me in the past 3 years. The first was installing a new main panel in 2022, and then today running a new circuit and outlet for an A/C unit upstairs. In both cases, the personnel were extremely professional and they did a great job. The pricing was very fair for amount of work done, which was considerable.
We had a home emergency when a water pipe broke, rendering toilet/shower/bathroom inoperable. With a household of two working parents and two teenagers this was a huge inconvenience.
The excellent staff at Superior Plumbing immediately responded to our problems.
Water was flooding under the back wall of our home and they found the leak and fixed it with a bypass-pass as a temporary solution. After the rainstorms subsided, at my request, they return to excuvate under the brick patio to replace the broken pipe with new, high quality copper pipe. They restored the bricks such that no further repairs to the patio was necessary.

Short Review: I went in for a haircut and IT'S A YES! GO! I was feeling impulsive and really wanted a haircut. It was a Wednesday and a lot of salons were fully booked. A lot of salons were also charging $80-90 for a haircut. I found Beauty Haircuts on yelp and gave them a call. The lady I spoke to, told me I can come in after I was out of work (5:00 pm). I rushed over to Beauty Haircuts and got seated in a chair upon arrival. Forgive me, I don't remember the lady's name, who cut my hair. BUT SHE WAS AMAZING!!!!! She knew what she was doing, asked me questions, and gave me just what I wanted. I will be back for my next trim, with her!! I am so grateful and happy!

My girls get their hair done @ Betty's and I swear it's worth every penny. My kids have 2 completely different hair types and they leave looking and feeling like a million bucks. The 10yo Birthday Party I’ve been dreaming of for my darling daughter and her friends. I cannot speak highly enough about the magic at the Bougie Babies Spa Party that we had last weekend. Once I reserved the party online everything else was taken care of. Clear communication a week or so before the party coordinating all the options and once we got there the magical decorations and setup was like a dream come true for my daughter. I love the idea and the execution was perfect. There were 2 amazing ladies that prepared the facials and the did the nails for the 5 girls and they also had all the candy and party favors. They even had a TV and were able to play KPop Demon Hunters while the girls were spa’ing. It was perfect. I immediately raved to all my friends. I totally recommend this to anyone interested in a fun play date or party for their children.

This was walking distance from where my car was getting worked on. I wish I got the woman’s name..she was the only one working there all day! I wasn’t too impressed with color choices, but for the price and quality of the basic pedicure I got outweighed that. She was so meticulous and thorough. I’m very ticklish/sensitive on my feet, so I’m usually clenching and or squirming during a pedi, especially during the massage. This was not the case today; I was fully relaxed and was close to falling asleep. For being the only woman working in the shop, and for having a growing number of walkins as the time went on, she easily could have skimped on my service and rushed through it (as I’ve experienced in other salons). But like I said, she was meticulous and thorough and very sweet on top of that too. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area!

Kyani delivers a good cut and has gentle hands. She also offers a ton of different services that she does with expertise. Today she cut my hair and blow dried it.

We have worked with Honrath & Stacey for many years and have always been pleased with their services. Joey is timely, thorough, and careful with the work he does. He always responds and fits us into his busy schedule no matter how small or big the job might be. He and his staff recently did a major project for us and provided advice ahead of time as to how to prepare for the work that was going to be done. On the day of the project, they arrived on time and stayed late to make sure everything was working the way it should. These guys run a top shelf operation. They kept me informed throughout the entire process. After they got the permitting from Castro Valley they scheduled to do the work the following week. They were able to re-route all the plumbing under our house and run a new sewer lateral to the middle of the street. They completed all work and cleaned up and re-paved everything in two days. There team works together like a swiss watch. I wouldn't go with any other plumber.

My tenants called a plumber who said it would cost $800-$1600 -- $800 for labor and $800 to replace the sump pump motor potentially.
I immediately called Mauro who came within 2 hours of my calling. He fixed the issue (small electrical cable was moved) and didn't charge me at all! (I offered to pay for his time at the very least -- he said no need!).
SO, if you want a plumber who 1) is technically excellent; and 2) is honest; and 3) charges fair prices, CALL MAURO's PLUMBING!
One more thing: Amy, his scheduling staff, is also very prompt and responsive to boot.

They replaced old fluorescent lights in my kitchen with modern LED lights. Oscar (Ace 1 Electric) came in for a free quote. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He didn't try to upsell me. They showed up on time and replaced all lights. They cleaned up after they were finished. I would hire them again.
Very customer focused company. An honest electrician that can do about anything. Joaquin was straight forward about prices. And was able to finish the work on time. Im glad i hired cencal electric for my workshop plugs and sub-panel he even aded a utility light in the dark hall where the panel was at a reasonable cost.

They were very thorough in diagnosing the problem and didn’t try to upsell us on services we didn’t need. It took a few hours to fix, but everything has been working perfectly since. They were professional, did a great job, friendly, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. We had a section of our kitchen floor that was scratched. Dale offered to fix just that section or redo the entire kitchen. We decided to redo the entire kitchen. The floors were installed 11 years ago and now look like new. We couldn't be happier.

Arthur and his team have an eye for design and are as professional as it gets. Back in February 2020, our patio awning blew straight off in one of those crazy Bay Area storms and was ripped from our house. We put repairs on the back burner, and when shelter in place orders were mandated, we decided it was time to finally look into our project. After a quick consult, Arthur recommended a couple of options: either we put the same sheet metal awning back on, or he could build us a wooden trellis. I chose to go with the wooden trellis, and figured now would also be a good time to put in the deck we had been talking about building for years since we had first moved in. Arthur's team - Tony (foreman) and his sons - got to work right away as soon as we reviewed the scope of work and went over a few design ideas. The before and after are phenomenal, as you can see in the photographs. We had a couple changes in design right in the middle, but in the end, I'm blown away by the overall look of how it is now than how it would've looked originally. Arthur and his team were very responsive to our questions and our requests, and his crew were very respectful and professional about their work. We have some other home projects we've identified that we'd like to do in the future, and we will for sure be choosing Hutton Construction for their help in these projects.
Advanced Home Energy helped me do a whole efficiency upgrade to my home. Their technician Laura first came and did a test-in. She used high-tech tools to measure the leakage of the house and the old ductwork, the performance and safety of all my gas appliances, efficiency of windows, and existing insulation. Then they sent me an extremely thorough report with recommendations, explanations, and projected energy savings for different measures we could take. We ended up replacing my 1955 furnace with a new high efficiency furnace, and they suggested I put it in my attic instead of a closet. We actually gained a huge closet space as a side-benefit! AHE then installed all new insulated ducts and sealed them super-tight. There was one guy who spent a whole day literally painting this duct mastic inside all my register boxes so they'd be absolutely air-tight. Then after the furnace was installed, we did blown-in cellulose in my attic and walls, air sealing in the crawlspace, all new dual-pane windows which look GREAT, and I even got a nice set of pull-down attic stairs out of the deal where there used to be just a 2' x 2' hole. I had asked if the furnace be situated so that I could have some attic storage space available, and they more than accommodated my request. I also asked if the furnace would be quiet, and they explained that to help with this, they install an "acoustic loop" in the return air duct, which means that the duct travels a longer distance between the return air grille in my ceiling and the actuall furnace. Man, I can barely hear this thing when it fires up!Laura came back and did a test-out, to see if they had met their projected energy savings. They hadn't only met them, they had exceeded them. They submitted all the paperwork to the Energy Upgrade California program, and about 6 weeks later, I got a rebate check for $4500!!!!!Now we are several months into winter, and I was really curious what our utility bills would look like. Well, let me start by saying that my wife had a baby (a home birth in our toasty, quiet house!) on December 7. We had the thermostat set on 71 degrees for the entire month of December and January, all day, every day. Last winter, I kept the thermostat on 68 at night, and left it off for 8 hours a day while we were at work. Even with the extreme increase in heat usage from last winter to this winter, our energy bills are HALF of what they used to be. I'm saving at least $100/month all winter. Between that and the rebate, this job is going to pay for itself within 10 years. And my family and I get the benefits of living in a quiet, comfortable home. I am absolutely elated. Nery and his team just completed a project to reinforce a basement wall for us and they did an incredible job. They completed the project faster than we thought and handled visits from city inspectors and a structural engineer to get everything done smoothly and properly. The whole crew was very nice, easy to work with, and kept the job site incredibly clean even though it was a basement that was not in use at the time. Super easy to work with and very responsive, I will definitely use them for future projects!
Ricki and his team at all things good did a great job on our house. They worked on insulation removal and installation and air draft sealing in our attic and crawlspace. They also installed a new heat pump and upgraded our ducts. The team was punctual, professional, and skilled. Toward the end of the project we had a couple of unanticipated requests and they were accommodating and so easy to work with. We appreciate the time & effort everyone put in to work with us on budget as we navigated through various material choices, dimensions, layout options, last minute changes, and customizations. Whether for measurements or installation, scheduled appointments happened as agreed and without delays (thanks so much Tina for keeping us on track!) The installation crew arrived on time, on the agreed date, with beautifully cut granite and then did a beautiful job with placement, polish, sink installation, and debris removal (thanks also for all the maintenance advice!) We are so happy we found Bay Countertops and and are in process of asking them to estimate other upcoming projects. We also love that they are a local privately owned small business :)
I ran into Pam in a parking lot and figured she was just what I needed to clean out two wasp nests that were terrorizing my gardener. She responded quickly and came the same afternoon. Pam kept in contact and followed up today to be sure that the treatment worked. Excellent service and efficient and expert performance.

Viking Pavers are fabulous! We chose them to install a new paver driveway. The project was a bit complicated because it involved moving some existing pavers at the back of our house and reusing them on the driveway. Karen coordinated the project very efficiently. Gustavo and his crews are extremely skillful and take pride in attaining a perfect finished product. The guys are very friendly, they work really hard, and they finished the work more quickly than we anticipated. Viking Pavers is definitely the outfit you want to work with! Greg, Redwood City.
We sought out the services of Rene and his team after seeing the amazing work he did on our neighbor's front yard. He came highly recommended by them and after seeing the work they did for us, we can see why. We had a huge clean up job in our back yard and a bad foxtail weed infestation. Rene and his team came in and did an amazing job clearing, treating and laying down weed control and pea gravel as requested. They were very polite and worked diligently, quickly and to a high standard. They were very clean in the way they operated and left our back yard in an incredible state for a very reasonable price. We are looking at further jobs we want doing at some point and will be reaching back out to Rene and his team. Would highly recommend.

M and M Tree Service is fantastic. Both the owner and the office contact were friendly, clear communicators. Estimate and work happened incredibly quickly at a good price. I was not home during the work, but upon return to my house, I was stunned: they had removed a large fig tree, several smaller trees, and had left the place much cleaner than they found it. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again!

I’ve worked with Dr Jess on several injuries related to long distance running: knees, feet, and ankles. She has always been able to help me get back to the sports I love quickly.In 2019 I had to take 10 months off of running due to injuries. Nothing I could find online was working for me and it didn’t get better with rest. I saw Dr Jess in early 2020 and she helped me identify and treat my IT band syndrome. I finished the year with over 1k miles and by 2022 achieved a long standing goal of mine to run a trail 50k in under 5 hours.What I like most about her approach is that she really teaches you how to improve form, strength, and flexibility on your own with exercises that I found easy to follow after the sessions.I will definitely see Dr Jess again if I have problems in the future.

Dr. Kwon focuses on your pet, period. He’s caring, professional and very experienced. Our little (14 yo ?- rescue) Bichon has kidney disease, which Dr. Kwon caught early. As it progresses, Dr. Kwon prescribes effective meds that improve our little guy’s quality of life. Nearly three years later, we’re very grateful for the care and experience that’s allowed us to keep Ray comfortable and living his best life. In addition, the pricing is lower than other vets we’ve used.

The prices are great, the massage not so much but it's ok! The place is clean could use a little more improvement lightening the rooms, but overall it's a must experience. They semi care for your pain or relaxation fairly quiet rooms. Local to the area. They have good communication with what they do or offer the packages. (Female here don't think otherwise). The secretary that spoke Spanish was nice, professional and answered all my questions before hand made me feel welcomed. thank you. Although it's a little hard to find the place orbited around a couple times but she helped me.
I love this place, I’ve been coming for years now and they are always amazing and affordable. Lisa and Michelle are wonderful and all of the masseuse are incredible. I highly recommend you give Golden Island a try :)
