887 Oak Grove Ave A, Menlo Park“I LOVE the xformer machine (it's by far my favorite) and there's only a few studios out here that use it. MPX was the closest studio to me so I tried them out first, and I'm so happy I did! I love their class format and their instructors! Granted, I've only taken it with one instructor so far but she's incredibly talented - she's patient, kind, mindful of everyone's differences (in terms of level/comfort/strength), explains proper form and how to engage different muscles (e.g., if you want to make an exercise more quad dominant vs glutes), and never forgets if there's someone in class that has a limitation and/or needs a modification due to an injury. I've tried a few other studios around here and the only thing they have over this one is better packages ($savings). If you can afford to splurge a little, choose this studio (sign up now!). I promise you won't regret it.“

501-D Old County Rd, Belmont“I have been doing Pilates for more than 10 years now, and was super excited to see that Dr. Alyssa had opened up a Pilates studio in conjunction with her physical therapy clinic. I just signed up and have taken my first two classes with Drs. Alyssa and Jess. Both of them were warm and welcoming and did a nice job with queuing. I love that all of their instructors are either physical therapists or people who have done a lot of training in Pilates. The class sizes are also small with a maximum of eight people on reformers in the studio. Additionally, they have a springboard wall and chairs. The studio itself is beautiful. All the equipment is brand new and they have heat/AC. I also appreciate that they're working on building a community feel to the studio, which I feel is missing at so many places. I can't wait to watch the studio grow!“

“I love RockSalt RWC! All of instructors are great and super encouraging. The workouts are fun and challenging - it’s great to know you will never do the same workout twice!“

835 Mohican Way, Redwood City“I've been studying Pilates with Harriet for over 20 years. The changes I have experienced in my body are dramatic. I have more strength, flexibility and better posture than I did 20 years ago. As well, I have increased my bone density per my latest Dexa scan.Pilates is not just an exercise, but an art form. I had studied with another studio before I found Harriet, and she transformed my practice from good to great. Her body awareness, intuition, and ability to bring a wealth of knowledge from other disciplines into her teaching is unique.Harriet has an uncanny ability to see what I'm doing with my body even through baggy clothing and give me queues to correct my form and activate the right muscles to perform the exercise for the most benefit..Every session is tailored to give me just what I need that day. I can't recommend Harriet enough for anyone who wants to take their Pilates experience to the next level.“

“I have been taking private Pilates lessons from Maya for a little over a year now and have been more than happy with how it's gone. Maya is extremely professional, organized, and prompt. Her studio is always very clean and she is 100% focused on you during the entire time. To my surprise we have never repeated the same routine in a session which is almost impossible to do:) You can tell she puts a lot of thought and creativity into each session and tailors the sequence of exercises to your needs. I met Maya as I was recovering from a shoulder injury and she was very attentive to any issues or discomfort I had and carefully worked to modify the movements so I was able to gain strength and flexibility within my limitations. I must say that the doing the Pilates with Maya helped build my confidence and ability with regards to my injury. Maya always had a clear plan for our sessions but was always open to my individual requests or suggestions and you could tell her top priority was to check in with how my body was feeling that day. It was also clear to me that she keeps herself current with new and innovative tools and techniques for Pilates, takes classes herself, and also trains other teachers. Maya is a great find and I highly recommend seeking her out. She offers individual and group sessions.“

Many of the teachers are physical therapists, and all have a long history of teaching and practicing Pilates, which really comes through in how they deliver their instructions. I appreciate how focused they are on ensuring each student uses proper form in class and how they teach you to understand the mind-body-breath work connection.“

Casey was incredibly friendly, diligent, and patient throughout our visit, and ensured we had a thorough visit of all of the club's amenities, and answered all our questions pertaining to the site/membership. She far exceeded my family's expectations, which resulted in us joining the club, which appeared to be in the midst of many promising upgrades, as well as offering a host of activities for the family. Thank you again to Casey for her wonderful support.“
“Reach is incredible. I was in a pretty fragile place, and I needed something completely different from anything I'd ever done before. I needed something new; something that wouldn't allow me to compare myself to what I used to be able to do, and get more discouraged. I signed up for the three intro classes with Zoe. From the moment I got there, I felt welcomed, listened-to, and encouraged. I've since taken classes with Zoe, Marion, Tracy, and Kathleen. They each have their own style of teaching, and each one is excellent, exceeding every expectation. The atmosphere is professional yet relaxed, and the instruction is second to none. Impeccable all around. This place is truly wonderful; thank you for all you do!!!!“
