“After 2 visits from another AC company coming out to tell me my unit needed to be replaced I was referred to Nice and Cool. Eli came out the same day just to tell me the prior company who came out purposely disconnected the one wire that would make my unit fail... 5 seconds after Eli's inspection he reconnected the wire the and the condenser immediately started working. “My fridge started smelling like burning candle wax and I looked online to see that it was likely needing someone to check the innerds as it could be a fire hazard.

I got an immediate quote (using your app to request) from Colette for a $69 diagnosis fee that would be applied towards the repair. I trusted the reviews here and the great customer service response and so booked it. They were free the next day, with a two-hour window given for arrival.

Matt called about 1/2 hour before arriving to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, and got right to work. Diagnosed as likely just needing to clean the compressor out as it was SUPER GRODY underneath my fridge (I was mortified!). I told Matt how grateful I would be if that were all because I had been shopping for a new fridge and the choices and costs were overwhelming and take days to have installed in many cases. He said he REALLY didn't think I would need that. Looking at the dirty condenser made him pretty sure it's the only culprit.

GOD, that was great news, but I thought it was too good to be true and this was likely to then find the need for replacement parts... NOT THE CASE! Matt was honest in his easy-to-address diagnosis, and didn't try to sell me anything unneeded. Just the job I needed at a reasonable price ($175 all told).

Matt took the back panels off and vacuumed SO thoroughly, went to the front and removed that grill to clean the front section, then cleaned up the floor (ugh - so embarrassed!), put it all back together, moved the fridge back into position, and made sure all was working correctly. He told me my setting was at the lowest and I may want to check it now that it was working as God intended. He also warned that the smell may take a few days to go away, but if not to call them back.

And they take Venmo (along with Zelle and one other...I forgot which).
