“In midst of summer heat, AC wasn't blowing cool air. Called CW Air Conditioning, they were able to come the same day, but we scheduled 2 days later. Chris informed me that refrigerant was low, may have a leak. Sure enough, a few weeks later, AC wasn't cooling. Chris explained that he could fix the leak, but since the unit is 10 yrs old, I decided not to spend the money to repair it, and had a new unit installed, now I have a ten year warranty. Two local HVAC companies tell me I had a leak on one home & insisted replacement was needed. Those companies quoted 12k-15k with options. My friend referred me to Southwest Boiler & Mechanical to get a 3rd opinion. I was scheduled the next day and the experienced techs ran several different tests and established that I didn’t have a leak! I was happy to pay $630.00 for them to service the unit w refill of refrigerant! The following week I had an issue with an AC unit at another home and Southwest Boiler & Mechanical found the motor needed replacing on that one. This unit was under warranty and they coordinated a new motor installation and the cost was for labor only which took a couple hours to install. The cost was only $450.00 for that job. Other companies in Scottsdale have zero integrity and from now on I will ONLY be using this company!!! I am so impressed with the two jobs in this review and I strongly suggest not wasting your time with any other HVAC company. You will see the huge difference in hiring this honest and experienced best of the best company!!! Much gratitude!!!!! The owner of this company is a builder with several other sub-company solutions for residential and commercial jobs. “HVAC companies are like car mechanics, once you have a good one you stay with them. I was needing a new HVAC system as my Trane system, 3.5 ton split, was original to the home, 18 years old. I had a company come out and they were telling me a Carrier system, which is a good system, was going to be $27K!! after discounts it would end up being around $21K! Karl was amazed that an HVAC company would try to rip people off with such a blatant over inflated price. He's the most honest, straight shooter, tell it like it is guy.
