“I had a positive covid test so I contacted the BI Rheumatology department since I am on immuno-suppressant medication. I sent a secure message via the patient portal and in less than 5 minutes my phone was ringing. I had an appointment to talk to the Rheumatology Pharmacist that afternoon via an online video session.

It was amazing to have that support and feel like they cared about me. She recommended I take Paxlovid because it would definitely help me feel better and she asked me to give her an update on how I was feeling the following week.

“Well i had a couple of numbers that were a little elevated being type two diabetic and all, so my dr suggested that I go see Kitsap Gastro and liver clinic. I walked into the office and my dr saw me within the first 5 mins. We discussed some possibilities and take a closer look of what might be going on. Did a blood draw and test, wow this nurse was good! Never felt the needle go in, best blood draw I have ever had!
I was told to eliminate some items I was taking that she thought could be the culprit of some of my elevated numbers. So the next day I get my blood results. Super quick mind you. I’m 70 yrs old now and 95%of my counts were in the normal. So now waiting for the office to set up another appointment for the next step. Very happy with the both the dr and the nurse.“

“I don't go to the hospital often, but Swedish Hospital Ballard is a very good hospital. My family doctor, Michael Richter, is very nice and skilled. Every time I see him, he is always so professional, meticulous, friendly, and enthusiastic, which makes people feel very warm! He will let me know my condition in time. I am Chinese and know that my English is not good. He will take the initiative to arrange a Chinese translator to contact me by phone, and everything is arranged very well. They are ALWAYS available, whether by phone, video call, or in-person visits. I have seen all of the providers and can't say enough good things about each of them. The office staff has been fantastic - all calls and questions are answered, and the follow-up is thorough. “I saw my GP today because over the last couple of months my lower back pain has gotten worse. I've been seeing my chiropractor once or twice a week, which helps for a while, but then I wake up unable to stand upright until I have a hot shower.

She listened to me, reviewed the ortho doctor's report from 2016 with me, then gave me the consults I needed to see what has changed. She did not mention my weight (although I did, since I have gained a little bit since my gastric bypass). She did not tell me this is just what happens when one gets older. She did not condescend in any way. I was in pain that was new and limiting how I live my life, so she worked with me to help me find out why.

She is thorough, warm, funny, and caring. Sometimes I have to wait for her to get to me at an appointment. I am happy to do so since I know she is giving the same attention and time to the patient before me.

“I needed a TB test for work and this is the clinic on my insurance card. I called to see if I could get in and the person helping me on the phone was extremely kind and helpful. He scheduled me an appointment later this month and told me to come to the extended hours clinic to see if they would do the test for me. The people working the front desk were extremely kind, helpful, welcoming, and charismatic. The wait was 2.5 hours but I didn't mind. They have AC and I have my phone to play on. Plus it was all free so of course I don't mind waiting. The lady who took me back and did my blood pressure was extremely kind and gentle. She was very apologetic for my wait. The doctor was also very kind and caring. I could go down the list with everyone I encountered and say the same thing. Just very nice people. Everyone I came into contact with at the clinic was wonderful. When I was waiting to get my TB test, the nurse or doctor at the computer started making small talk with me and I thought that was fun. The girl doing my TB test was very gentle and it was her first time giving one to someone, she did great. I don't mind being a guinea pig because I used to be a dialysis technician. When I came back to get my test read, there was a disgruntled patient and the admin and doctors handled it with grace and maturity. I can't say enough how impressed I am.“
