“I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running--without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. Davide Zorbe and Jeff Ramos did a great job on the install, despite working late into the evening their quality was consistent and Davide seemed to be in good spirits despite clearly having a very long Friday night.

“Sean Hoffman did it again. Air One Tech is lucky to have him on board. Sean was able to troubleshoot the issue with the Aprilaire humidistat that makes clicking noise when it is running. He traced the issue back to the wiring from the humidistat that attempts to get sufficient power from the furnace control switch. If it is not for Sean, I might be asked by another technician to replace the humidistat and or the humidifier solenoid valve. There is a lesson learned here. When the HVAC system was installed in the Summer, there are undetected issues with all the wiring connected to various components that made up the HVAC system (thermostat, AC unit, central humidifier, furnace, and coil unit). Problems raise to the surface when cold weather starts. Even with a QA inspection followed up right after the installation of a new system, the technician couldn’t visually spot any potential misconnected wires until it actually happens. So with that, thank you Sean for doing a great job diagnosing the problem.“

“Mega Plumbing installed our dishwasher; their services were purchased through Lowe's. In the 12 years I've lived in the DMV, this is by far the best experience I've had with a plumber.

Pros: I was able to choose to communicate via text or phone, they were able to schedule for my preferred day, they were running early so texted to see if I wanted to keep my time or have the install early. They were very friendly. They uninstalled our old dishwasher and installed our new dishwasher very quickly. Our floors are a little wonky and they took the time to level it carefully. It was a perfect install! They had to drill a new hole to get things up to code, which they didn't charge extra for and talked to us about ahead of time. They had plans in place to protect our flooring, including carrying both dishwashers in/out. We will definitely use them again!!!
