8502 SW Terwilliger Blvd, Portland“I have belonged to the Portland Anytime Fitness for 2 years. The facility is great (clean, quality equipment). Most important I have always had great experiences with the people -- trainers to managers. They really helped set up a program for me to be successful.“
5AM - 6PM
4356 SW Multnomah Blvd, Portland“I love training at this gym! I work with Coach Jonathan in the small group training sessions, and it’s been awesome. Each class focuses on a different body part in segments, so with just two sessions a week, we’re able to cover both arms and legs — super efficient and effective.
One of the things I appreciate most is the flexibility. If I ever miss a class, it’s easy to jump into another session and make it up. All of the coaches are incredibly nice, supportive, and knowledgeable. They always provide helpful feedback on form and offer suggestions that push you to get stronger while staying safe. I feel challenged, motivated, and supported every time I walk in. Highly recommend!“

6AM - 9PM
8230 SW Barbur Blvd, Portland“I met Katie shortly before I had knee surgery to repair tears on my meniscus. It had been about 6 months of regular pain, forcing me to refrain from running, working out, or even so much as doing a full body squat without pain and/or an unsettling click. Katie worked with me to identify the problems I was having and introduced me to a series of progressively more dynamic exercises to build up my mobility and strength to a level beyond where I was before my injury.Besides her mastery of physical therapy (and the fact that Katie is just an awesome person), these three things stood out to me the most:1: Katie uses a collaborative, educational approach to her work with her clients, and she is a fantastic instructor and coach. Moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, but her ability to articulate the exercises using auditory and visual cues was super helpful. Seeing something and hearing it in terms I understood made the process more enjoyable, and especially let me see why certain movements hurt, and how to improve upon them. Real-time cues while doing exercises also helped to hone in on the pieces I might be missing, and especially the pieces I was doing well. Both helped tremendously.2: Katie is extremely patient. Again, moving my body in new ways was sometimes difficult, which often left me spinning my wheels as I tried to get the movements right. Not once did she even remotely seem frustrated or impatient as I struggled. Instead, she showed enthusiasm for even the smallest improvements, and celebrated all of my little wins. It made learning and getting stronger a pleasant experience that motivated me each step of the way. Katie’s office is a safe place that fosters improvement in surprising ways.3: Katie is an empathic practitioner who understands your pain, and truly wants you to get better and be your best self. Knowing that she was on my side, seeing her celebrate my little wins, all of it. Katie made my pain feel understood from the first day, and inspired me to have confidence in both my progress and my potential once I was back in action.I highly recommend Katie for anyone who is ready to feel good in their body. She’s a treasure.“

10319 SE 82nd Ave, Portland“Updating my review. Pleasantly surprised that the alarm chirping has been fixed. Yay! Now if we could get hand sanitizer back ?. The staff are amazing. Love working out here. HOWEVER, the alarm has been loudly chirping every minute or so for the last week and the owner hasn’t been out to fix it. Super annoying as paying members. Surprised each morning that it hasn’t been addressed. My heart goes out to the employees working long hours having to listen to it all day.“

615 S Palatine Hill Rd, Portland“My son (diagnosed inattentive ADHD) has benefited tremendously in the 6+ months he’s been working with Specialty. His strength, agility, balance, and speed have improved dramatically, and that has improved his performance in athletics. More importantly, he has gained self-confidence and we’ve seen an improvement in his attitude and outlook in general. Emily and Shawn have worked wonders with him and I can’t thank them enough!“

Sam is disciplined, consistent, professional and extremely knowledgeable and talented. He practices what he preaches. My body and strength has significantly improved, since I’ve been training with him. I’ve lost fat, gained muscle, learned how to eat properly and workout more efficiently. He doesn’t believe in the hokey, marketing schemes or fads. If you want real results and a real, focused, consistent trainer - Sam is your guy. If you are a person who needs hand holding, false information or someone to boost your ego - he isn’t the right fit. He’s always on time, accommodating to life scheduling conflicts and always available for any health or wellness questions/concerns/injuries.By far best trainer in Portland!“

4140 SE 82nd Ave, Portland“I've been working out at Later Fitness 5 days a week and it’s easily one of the best gyms I’ve been a part of. The facility is a great size—not too packed, but big enough to offer everything I need. The equipment is clean, up-to-date, and well-maintained.
I love that they have a full-court gym, a pool, handball courts, and a sauna—which is perfect for winding down after a tough workout. The staff is always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere every time I walk through the doors.
They’re also getting ready to start Pilates classes soon, which I’m really looking forward to. If you're looking for a solid gym with a variety of amenities and a good vibe, I definitely recommend checking out Later Fitness!“

“Best gym I've belonged to:
1) It is exceptionally clean, due in large part to a dedicated young man named Ryan who really takes pride in his work. No gunk or film on the machines like most gyms have.
2) I've really enjoyed the classes, taught by Sheri and Griffin. They are accessible for all levels, and totally FREE!
3) The price is very reasonable... even the Black Card membership is only 25, which enables you to use the massage chairs, etc., invite friends for free, and use any PF! And at that price, if you can't go for a month or two, you don't have to feel bad or drop.
4) They have all the equipment you could ever need, and then some!“
