As an adult returning to the sport after nearly 30 years, I’ll admit—I was intimidated walking into an adult class full of black belts. But that feeling disappeared after my very first class. The black belts were welcoming, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and knew exactly how to mentor someone restarting their martial arts journey. It was the perfect environment to grow without feeling judged.

I’ve also seen this same level of care in how my son has been treated. In the two years he’s been attending, his confidence and skills have grown tremendously.
