“Honestly, this place is lovely. I have been to many vets over the years and I have never felt as safe as I do here. They do not shame- my cat is overweight and they remained focused on a plan, not on making me feel like a bad pet parent. Whats even crazier is that my cats do not fear the carrier. While they will cry in the car once they are in the vet office they are calm. They come home relaxed. I think about all the trauma my other cats had at previous vets and it honestly breaks my heart knowing this was an option the whole time. VCG are profoundly lovely and caring people.“

“Martin is really a genius with dogs. My dog is not always the best behaved and when we got a cat, I was worried that our house would forever be a battle zone. Martin stepped in and solved the problem. Now, although they don’t love each other, they can nap 2 feet from each other no problem. Martin is also the best in an emergency. There have been more times than I can count when something has come up and we have to leave quickly for a few days. “I brought our family’s 16-year-old senior cat, Sonny, here for the first time after he hadn’t been to a vet in years, and overall we had a positive experience.

The wait wasn’t long, which we really appreciated. The clinic itself is a bit older in appearance, but the staff was very kind and welcoming. Julie in particular was wonderful — she made us feel at ease, didn’t pressure us into anything, and was so patient while handling our very spicy senior cat.

Dr. Papak was knowledgeable and thorough, and we really appreciated that she is bilingual. That was a big plus for our family since Sonny lives with my Spanish-speaking parents, and it helped ensure everything was clearly understood. We were also happy to hear that, at 16 years old, Sonny’s teeth and overall condition looked great.

At one point, the communication in the exam room felt a little tense, and I just hope staff interactions can always feel as supportive as the care they provide, especially since the techs were doing such a great job with a difficult patient.

Overall, Sonny received good care, the team was kind, and the location is very convenient for us, so we would return.“

“My sweet Rosie, a small Chihuahua mix took a very quick and unexpected turn towards the end and my family was met with the worst realization that our precious girl had to be put to rest at 15. When I called assisi they were very patient and understanding. We were a new patient here since our local vet had closed a few months back, and when we arrived they treated Rosie with such care and compassion. Gave us all the time needed in our final moments with my precious girl. It really was comforting seeing a caring staff, that really stood out to me and I appreciate it so much! My precious Rosie was cremated privately and presented beautifully, thank you to everyone at assisi!“
