“Joel and the team at City Tails are the best! My pup Marge has been walked by the team at City Tails for three years now and she is completely obsessed with each dog walker. I know she is in great hands while I’m at work during the day. They also leave detailed reviews and send photos after they drop her off to let me know how each visit went! ❤️ you city tails team!“

“I can't recommend Deanne enough. 4 months ago, I adopted a 5-month old puppy who had no prior training and severe leash reactivity to both dogs and people. Through working with Deanne, he now has a strong foundation in training and can walk through busy NYC streets with few issues. He also LOVES Deanne and her training sessions. Her love for dogs is so evident. Deanne focuses not only on dog training, but also on giving owners the tools they need to continue training in between sessions. She writes detailed summaries with instructions on how to progress further, and I have learned so much about dog training and behavior through her, even as a lifetime dog owner. Deanne uses a science-backed positive reinforcement approach which has been great in helping my nervous rescue pup build confidence. She constantly continues her learning through research and courses, and her passion for dogs shines through in her training. I feel so lucky to have found Deanne!“

“If I could give a million star rating I would. Dr. East saw our boy Todd first last week for what we hoped would be a routine check up, upon exam she immediately noted a large abdominal mass and recommended gold standard veterinary care and referrals. She handled our boy with kindness and compassion as well as discussing all of our options thoroughly and answering all of our questions. Yesterday we saw Dr. Ratcliff who also treated our sweet boy with the same dignity, respect, and high quality veterinary care. Completing the first steps of testing for his cancer diagnosis, and carefully selecting the medications he needed to be comfortable. She called us immediately upon receiving test results which unfortunately resulted in Todd’s final veterinary visit at the ER after hours. We were told where to go, what may happen, and Todd’s records were immediately sent out. This vet clinic is efficient, compassionate, and how every vet clinic should be modeled after from the technician’s fear-free approach, the doctor’s high quality of medicine, and the office staff’s efficiency. The office is clean and well thought out to be “fear free certified” which is just another sign of how important your animal’s experience is to this hospital’s staff. Because of this clinic, Todd did not suffer or feel any pain in his final days, and we are forever thankful for that. People like this vet hospital make the world a better place. Thank you.“

“I've meant to review this place for so long, and now I have a little free time. I just picked my Bouvier Des Flandres up from a groomer in Seattle tonight. There was no rhyme or reason to his haircut. He looked like an abstract painting, and that's not a compliment. I've heard it before: "He's so hard to groom! He doesn't sit still!" I know that. And that's why I wish I still lived in NYC, because I swear, the woman who groomed our Bouvier at Honey's was some kind of dog whisperer, and I've compared every groomer to her since then. NYC, you are LUCKY to have this grooming salon. I remember calling after 5 hours asking, "Is my dog ready?" She answered, breathlessly: "He's a challenge. He doesn't like the clippers. So I brewed myself some coffee and left the clippers on, buzzing near him on the table." She actually gave my dog time to desensitize to the sound, and it was effective. I've tried this myself, but it wasn't the same. I can't recall her name, but whoever you are, you truly have a connection to animals. You are patient, kind, and you are an artist!!! If I could charter my own jet with my dog to your salon, I would!!“

“How does a couple who has never had a dog prior to August get assistance to ensure that their is puppy fully trained? The answer is simple: they use Amanda Gagnon and her insanely brilliant team of trainers most notably Liz Kelsay.Liz keeps her classes (both private and public) fun and interesting for the dogs and their humans alike. Our beloved 15 lbs Chihuahua, Mini Poodle, Terrier mix Poppy can't get enough of the classes.“

“My sweet sensitive girl was dog reactive with a history of dog aggression and resource guarding when I started with CCA. Adolescence hit her hard. With Ingrid, I discovered underlying health issues, managed her anxiety, and even started to help her safely make some dog friends m. CCA helped give my girl her life back, and we couldn’t be happier. It’s beautiful to see the dog that she has become. Thank you Ingrid for being on our team ❤️“

“We only used Throw Me a Bone so far for private training sessions with Jesse. Jesse has been absolutely great, and helped my young puppy (18 weeks old) with some basic training, which has already helped tremendously. Planning to attend group puppy classes and, possibly, grooming in the near future.“

“They’re the best. Were always very responsive and had backup walkers ready to go when needed. Every walker I interacted with genuinely loved dogs and regularly went above and beyond for me. They send an update every day with pictures, a narrative, and info on whether the dog went to the bathroom. They prioritize safety, requiring both a collar and a harness for every walk and connecting the leash to both.“

“Jessica is more than a dog trainer. She is more like a family counseling therapist for dog families. For folks like us where kids are not an option, it’s really a gift to have her keen insight and direct communication approach. We brought her in to work with the family dynamics of our resident dog (whom she also worked with 10 years ago) and our new puppy. Her counsel was invaluable to gaining structure and discipline in the house.“

“If you're looking for a place that has it all then Dog City is it. Leya has been an integral part of every important decision we have made for our dog; her experience and insight are truly invaluable. This place has been nothing short of indispensable to our dog’s overall development. Leya and her team of handlers know how to tackle just about any issue, behavioral or otherwise, and they do it with calm, ease, and a sense of humor.“

“I highly recommend MixyPaws. Our dog has had the most wonderful experience with his regular dog-walker, Audeli, who is always professional, kind, and caring! Our dog gets so excited to see him when he arrives for his walks. We are so thankful to Audeli. He has been a life-saver!“

“We recently moved out of NYC, and saying goodbye to the Luke Dogwalker crew was one of the saddest parts of our move. They've been with us since we first got our pup, Layla at 8 weeks old, and we couldn't be happier with how well they took care of her, especially Doug, our regular walker. Kevin was extremely accommodating with last minute changes when they came up, and the updates/pictures with each walk were a lovely addition to our day. Everyone was always so pleasant, chill, and helpful for these first time dog parents. We know our pup loved her walks, and we are so bummed we have to move her away from the amazing folks at Luke's! We highly, highly recommend these guys!!“

“I met Elizabeth in 2016 walking my Apple on e85th street. She told me about Paws on Park and we needed a walker. I think we started a few weeks later. Elizabeth is the best. Apple loved her daily walks and I knew Apple was in good hands. The paws reports we received after the walk was a highlight in my day. Elizabeth also stayed w Apple for a week during thanksgiving week in 2016. I was nervous leaving Apple but I knew she was in good hands. Apple had a great week. Elizabeth and Paws on Park are the best dog walking business in nyc. I would not trust anyone else. Thank you so much Elizabeth for caring for Apple!!!“

“Stuck down a rabbit hole of photographer reviews? Look no further.I needed to update my photos after about a decade. I am prone to overanalyzing reviews and getting overwhelmed and never making a decision. If you're anything like me, and you're down that path of trying to find the right photographer? Go with Michael. From start to finish everything--communication, vibe, energy, results--was impeccable. And shout out to the incredible makeup artist on staff (Misa!) who made me look 10 years younger.Seriously. I rarely leave reviews. But Michael and his team are absolutely worth it. Looking forward to next time.“

“Stephanie and Sonny provide better dog care than we ever could have imagined — they run an amazing small business, and provide so much value, and we feel soooo lucky that we found them. They are incredibly attentive, communicative, organized, and go above and beyond to make sure that each dog in their care is not only safe - but having a fabulous time. Our pug has some separation anxiety and has historically hated daycares but he LOVES going to Stephanie’s and runs right in. He has made many nice doggy friends (he has his favorite pals. Shout out to Benji, Gus, and Chicken Nugget), gets taken on private potty walks every day (no going inside on fake grass/fake fire hydrant), and I receive fun and hilarious email updates letting me know what he has been up to and who in the “pack” he’s been hanging out with.Initially, we felt nervous and even guilty sending our dog to a daycare, but we knew we had to do it to accommodate our work schedules. Now, we think of Stephanie’s daycare as the best possible enrichment for our dog.Finishing Touches is the best of the best and has my highest recommendation. I have full faith that their grooming services are top notch too, even though we have never used them as our dog has a short coat. The dogs in the “salon” seem very calm and content when I see them during drop off.“

“I took my dog to an endless amount of groomers for the last 3 years, and I finally found this place. My dog always got so scared when we went to any groomer. When we go to Puppy Lodge, she goes right in. Everyone who works there is so friendly, and my pup always comes out with the perfect haircut. 10/10“

“The best dog walker/ sitter! My rescue dog is a biter and has been blacklisted from several places around NYC. Adam is the only person who’s ever been able to handle my dog! He’s vigilant about making sure people don’t pet my dog and handles him better than anyone. Another plus, he knows all the tricks such as - getting dogs to take pills and sends the best pictures/updates! Adam is super trust worthy, and has stayed in my apartment with my dog when I travel. EVERYONE should use CityWags!!!!“
