“When I bought a small home (cottage, built in 1920), it needed a lot of work. I started with paint. I decided to be totally open to suggestions even though I had my own ideas. Leslie was extremely helpful by actually listening to me and my thoughts and ideas. She began to challenge me with some other ideas, as she shared her knowledge of color. She suggested a color that I never would have even thought of! She was looking at the floor color (that I didn't love, but wasn't planning to change) and how we could compliment the floor color by using a specific color for the walls. I decided to try a sample to see if I could really understand what she was saying. I couldn't believe that I loved it! And, it helped me to actually like the floor color. Needless to say, I went with her choice and couldn't be happier! Leslie's knowledge, listening skills, and desire for me to LOVE the outcome was so evident when I worked with her. “UB Hardwoods and Flooring were incredibly responsive and did amazing work! We had them sand and refinish an entire floor of our house and install hardwood on another floor to match. We were on a tight timeline to get the flooring project done before we moved in. Sam walked me through the project in a ton of detail and was really upfront about scheduling and about potential additional cost items that couldn’t be known before getting the old flooring up. Ultimately, UB kept us posted daily on their progress and got the job done ahead of the timeline they set. And most importantly, they did a really great job! So great, in fact, that we have already hired them for a carpet replacement project. We will use UB for all of our future flooring needs. (Note that the pictures below are from before base trim was retouched—an issue that UB specifically called out at the time of the quote. It’s part of the process, and it’s all cleaned up now.)“

“Our garage floor was abysmal and something needed to be done about it. The original concrete was from the 1960s, and some time around 2000 epoxy coating was added. The coating was flaking up in numerous locations, and the concrete was pitted throughout underneath the flaking epoxy. Previously we had a concrete specialist look at the floor, and they said the entire floor would need to be jackhammered up and replaced at a cost of around 15k! After doing research we decided to see if a polyaspartic floor covering would be a viable option. We contacted Abe at Alamtal Flooring through his website, and he responded within 30 minutes! His team came over to our house within the week and took a look at the floor, stating it was a good candidate for Polyaspartic covering. The sales process was straightforward, and the associate was very matter of fact about their product with no pressuring. We didn't sign a contract at the time of the sales visit, but went back later and decided to go with the floor coating (for a fraction of the cost of replacing the concrete floor!). We were able to schedule the install for a week later. The day they were here Abe did a great job of staying in touch with us regarding progress, and send us pictures of how things were going. We couldn't walk on the floor for a day and drive on it for 2, which worked out fine for us. A few days after install we noticed some areas in the garage that weren't quite level (we are very picky customers!). Abe responded promptly to the pictures and scheduled time to come over and fix the concerned areas. Throughout the process he was professional and all around wonderful to work with. Our experience with Alamtal Flooring was exceptional. My only hope/concern is that the floor will last more than 10 or so years!“
