“UB Hardwoods and Flooring were incredibly responsive and did amazing work! We had them sand and refinish an entire floor of our house and install hardwood on another floor to match. We were on a tight timeline to get the flooring project done before we moved in. Sam walked me through the project in a ton of detail and was really upfront about scheduling and about potential additional cost items that couldn’t be known before getting the old flooring up. Ultimately, UB kept us posted daily on their progress and got the job done ahead of the timeline they set. And most importantly, they did a really great job! So great, in fact, that we have already hired them for a carpet replacement project. We will use UB for all of our future flooring needs. (Note that the pictures below are from before base trim was retouched—an issue that UB specifically called out at the time of the quote. It’s part of the process, and it’s all cleaned up now.)“
“When I bought a small home (cottage, built in 1920), it needed a lot of work. I started with paint. I decided to be totally open to suggestions even though I had my own ideas. Leslie was extremely helpful by actually listening to me and my thoughts and ideas. She began to challenge me with some other ideas, as she shared her knowledge of color. She suggested a color that I never would have even thought of! She was looking at the floor color (that I didn't love, but wasn't planning to change) and how we could compliment the floor color by using a specific color for the walls. I decided to try a sample to see if I could really understand what she was saying. I couldn't believe that I loved it! And, it helped me to actually like the floor color. Needless to say, I went with her choice and couldn't be happier! Leslie's knowledge, listening skills, and desire for me to LOVE the outcome was so evident when I worked with her. She shared in my excitement and made the process actually fun! And, everytime I went into the store, the other staff were happy to see me and excited to hear how my project was going. “I got several quotes before choosing Magic for my carpet project, which was a large family room and a set of stairs. I'm happy with the outcome because (1) they were the lowest price, AND (2) this carpet is twice as good as the other bids, with a face weight of 65 ounces compared to around 30 from the other vendors! Removing the old stuff was extra difficult because it was glued down. They had to come back a second time to do the stairs because they didn't have enough carpet with them the first time. After the stairs were done, I had some creases that would not come out, but they scheduled the repair immediately and they came out the very next day and fixed it perfectly. The installers were friendly and professional. Such nice boys. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it took a couple of visits, but the final outcome is perfect and beautiful, super high quality carpet, and was under budget. And they moved the furniture and did not bang up any of the trim. Would definitely use them again!“
