“Jason from Barnhouse Exteriors is the best. Without a doubt they are the best roofing and exterior company I have ever dealt with. Barnhouse did my roof a few years ago and the service was perfect. The quality was excellent, the crew showed up when promised and finished our roof in the same day.

Except for the new roof...they cleaned up after themselves and you couldn't even tell they were there. Jason's quote was accurate and very reasonable.

I'm writing this review because recently we needed to replace some damaged siding. When I called Jason he responded immediately and had a crew out to do the job within a couple of days, even though it was a small job. Once again, the crew was professional, fast and cleaned up after themselves leaving no mess. The cost was more than reasonable. The follow up service was fantastic.

Great turn around time, thourough assessment and mitigation of the water damage to prevent mold. Very considerate to offer advice/guidance and to answer all my questions, as this is the first time I'm dealing with water damage as a relatively new homeowner. Excellent service!

Long Review:
They responded to my water damage very quickly, although the communication from the inital phone call was not very clear (constructive feedback below). Though from a call placed at 2:30am, they were able to schedule me for a 7am appointment, so within 6hrs of discovering the leak which is a very good turn-around time. They thoroughly assessed the situation and how to mitigate it until a plumber can fix the source of the leak the following day, as well as answered all my questions and provided guidance and advice on some of the next steps. They did all this very efficiently, with the inital appointment taking merely 90 minutes -- during which they identified the source of the leak, removed the damaged drywall that could not be saved to confirm the source of the leak, contained the dripping water to prevent further damage, setup equipment to dry out the existing water damage to prevent mold, and in between all of that hands-on work took the time to explain everything to me in an understandable way, including what types of damage can be repaired, and what items I may or will need to replace (carpet, specific types of cupboards due to materials used, etc). They also explained how follow-up visits will be scheduled in the coming days, and gave a general timeframe for when the damage should be dry enough to be repairable. They provide an easy to fill out card for insurance claims as well.
All around, the experience quickly reduced my fear and uncertainty around dealing with water damage for the first time as a first-time homeowner. Thank you!!

Constructive Feeback:
It was not clear from the inital phone call whenabouts to expect to hear back, or if I had a guaranteed appointment slot. I was told someone would contact me "soon", which since it was the middle of the night, I waited up an hour for a call, before trying to sleep a couple hours, only to miss a call at 6am. I appreciated that a text message was left instead when they couldn't reach me, although I also did not hear back confirming the appointment after replying to say 7am would work, but they did show up on-time. Everything with the service was excellent once in-person, so it is just the inital remote communication could be improved.
It would have helped to have an estimated window of when to hear back, as I almost contacted another business instead when I didn't hear back within an hour.“
