Upon arrival, your senses will notice that unassumingly from the outside Crescent’s home-salon is so beautiful in hues of blue. Unlike other nail salons or (chop shops) as I now refer to them in hindsight, there is no harsh smell, but more like an aroma of luxurious self-care fills the air. That nail pic you found on insta or Pinterest and you don’t know who could recreate? Crescent’s been glamming nails for over 20 years. She’s got you! Until meeting her, I had no idea that having my nails done could be as exciting, therapeutic and endearing of an experience. Her pricing for new clientele is upscale to affordable for repeat customers but that’s the price to pay for guaranteed quality. Never have I ever had a “bad set” or a bad time with her! In fact, I was so impressed by my results that I booked appointments for all FOUR of my younger sisters so that they could share my joy and watch/learn from the best. Hands down Crescent is the OG Polygel Girly of Kalamazoo! A true ten out of ten! ???

I emailed in the morning asking if there was anyway for the Heirloom staff to accommodate a very last minute tattoo request and Mae spent and hour emailing me back and forth to organize a time with one of their artist, they were patient and helpful despite the really short time we had and was able to schedule me time with Lacey
Lacey was absolutely amazing! She was attentive and worked with me on a design within my budget as well as time constraints. She also took the time to explain needle expiration, as someone with plenty of tattoos this was new and provided education I didn't have previously
I had to take an important phonecall mid appointment and Kacey was incredibly gracious, over all great conversation and bed side manner

I’ve had Nicole do my hair for a couple years now and she always does a beautiful job regardless of what it is! I’ve done highlights, platinum blonde, black with money pieces and curtain bangs, pink , you name it. She’s hands down the best stylist I’ve ever had because she always delivers what I’m looking for in a way that I can maintain and keep my hair healthy.

Found out on a Friday my daughters had lice. I did at home treatment and couldn’t get all the nits out myself. Did some research because this was my literal worst nightmare as a mom & I found repunzels we request an appt online that night and were scheduled for the next day (Saturday) we drove two hours there (from Indiana) and two hours back & would do it again in a heartbeat. Price is fair! My kids left head lice free & my confidence & dignity was restored. Thank you for the peace of mind and for doing the Lords work! So thankful repunzels exists.

Struggled finding a barber who could manage my cowlicks until finding samsons. Andrew has been cutting my hair for the past couple months. I see him for a full cut ever 4 weeks with an express cut in between. When I sit down he asks if I want the same cut and conversation picks up exactly where it left off.
David is a professional barber with sharp skills, and has a eye for details. I’d definitely recommend this place of business to any of the fellas.
Juan is outstanding Barber. He was recommended to by my son. He asked what and how I wanted my cut including length, how close I wanted on the sides to include my beard. They have two high pressure beds that definitely give a great bronze. The customer service is next level and I’m glad I found my new spot! No need to look anywhere else especially with the difference in cost with the competition in the area!

I can't tell which gal behind the desk is actually the owner because they all treat you like their business depends on your satisfaction. I use the spray tanning and love it, but they have all different kinds of beds available. Their monthly fees are reasonably priced, and the place is kept super clean.
UPDATE - It's been (6) years since I left that initial review, and I still stand by every word of it. They've updated their tanning equipment, too. I'm still a loyal customer.
I give Island Heat Tanning a solid 5 stars (10?)The place is always clean and the workers are so knowledgeable and polite. I needed help with what to do to get prepared for my trip to Hawaii. I knew I needed to start early so my skin wouldn't be screaming at me ?. I am getting a very good base going and am now bronzing. It gives me comfort to get the same advice from all of the workers that I have spoken with. That's 4 different workers!!! ?? Two thumbs up, ladies ❣️❣️❣️
EDIT: since new ownership (no longer UTan) I have absolutely zero complaints. The new beds are phenomenal. Staff is great per usual. 10/10 recommend————Great place overall, but if you’re on a schedule or driving out only for the purpose of tanning, you might want to call to check if they’re open first… Especially if you’re someone like myself who only visits a couple times a month at most. Their hours seem to change quite often, specifically on the weekends, and their hours posted on the building don’t always match up with what’s posted online — whether it’s Google, their website, or their social media. There have now been 4 occasions over the last year where they’ve been closed when I got there, but it said they were open online, or I was going off of a photo I took of their hours posted on the building in the previous weeks. Otherwise, the staff is always super nice and the place is pretty clean.

Patty was absolutely lovely to speak with and highly professional. She took time to go into detail about all aspects of permanent makeup procedure, to fully ensure you had a good understanding of it. I had taken a lot of time and thought into looking for a permanent makeup artist and I highly recommend reaching out to her for any of it. I love how FeeFee does my eyebrows, I asked her to leave them as thick as possible and she delivered. My brows grow uneven and she was effortlessly able to even them out in a way that looked natural and remained thick. Leah and Mandy dir a wonderful job giving me a Swedish Massage and an Organic Facial. I was so relaxed the entire time. TaBetha did a fantastic job on our hair and makeup for my wedding! My makeup stayed all day through eating, drinking, sweating and crying. It was still easy to take off at the end of the night. My hair also stayed really well. TaBetha was great at helping me figure out what I wanted for makeup, as I wasn't totally sure.

I was looking to have a Generac standby generator installed and Waggoner’s was one of the few contractors to actually have them in stock. Tom came over within a few days and gave me a very reasonable quote. The two installers were professional, polite and very friendly. I couldn’t be happier with the installation. So I very highly recommend Tom for this or any other electrical service needs you may have.Update: When 45,000 people in Kalamazoo were without power due to an ice storm, I was one of the few people that did not have to worry thanks to the Generac installed by Tom. My entire neighbor was completely shut down, but my generator smoothly ran for 84 hours until power was slowly restored. Best investment I’ve ever made. It was worth every penny.

We had a great experience working with AA Electric. We felt that they were extremely fair and professional, and good at communicating about the work that they were doing. Dan worked very efficiently to help re-wire our old home and completed the job in less time than anticipated, explaining everything in detail. He also came back out when we had a follow-up question. We will definitely keep working with them when we need an electrician.

Techs were very helpful. My dryer wasn’t drying well I called for lint removal and they pulled a lot of dog hair from the tube that runs to the back of the house. Suggested once a year until the dog passes.

Capstone is great. Super nice people to work with. I doubt any human would say that a remodel is easy, because it is not. It is so hard being displaced from a kitchen and having to come home everyday to people in your space. But, if you want to make the leap, and get a wonderful upgrade to your living space, this is the team you want.

I really want to thank the gentleman that came out yesterday. It did takes 2 weeks to get someone. But, he fixed our sub box for a good price. When he could have easily said. Replace the whole thing. Which would have cost 6k+ because of all the work that needs to be done to bring everything up to current code. I can't even imagine what it would have cost honestly. Our house is a mess.

Nathan and his crew were fantastic—professional, respectful, and did an outstanding job on my yard. His irrigation team installed a sprinkler system I can control from my phone, which is incredibly convenient. The new landscape bed looks beautiful, and the grass is already starting to come in nicely. They’ll be following up in a couple of weeks to make sure the lawn fills in completely. Overall, I’m very happy with the results!

One of the most stressful periods of my life was when my retaining wall fell. Bob was confident, drew up a wonderful hybrid plan of half retaining wall, half natural wall so I could have a driveway to the bottom part of my property which I never had. Excellent landscaper! We purchased a new home with our lot leveled off when we closed on late fall. By early spring it was a mess since nothing could be done with it over the winter. We hired a company to seed the lawn and they recommended Jim Frommann to prepare our lot for seeding. Our lot had ruts in it from heavy rain from the gutters into our yard since it's just dirt, along with small rocks and branches. Frommann's did an excellent job of clearing out lot of weeds along with the rocks and branches. They also put extra dirt around the sidewalk, driveway and back patio so it's all a nice smooth surface. We also hired them to bury our downspouts to prevent more ruts forming when it rains. We are very pleased with the wonderful job they did. They've also done several other homes in the neighborhood and we all look great! I highly recommend them. All of their workers did a fantastic job.
Ron and team put in a seawall for us and we could not be more happy. They were very accommodating with our asks and super flexible. We’ve received so many compliments and would highly recommend.

Total Tree Services is absolutely amazing!!! This is the second time I have used their service and they went above and beyond to clean up the area where the trees were removed, plus more. Their crew was Excellent ,went up on the roof and blew everything off the roof because a few twigs fell on to the surface. When all said and done my yard looked better than when they started lol. I would highly recommend Total Tree Service, (and I have to others) who have used their service and they agree that they are the best around,which is my opinion also... Very pleased with service. Removed a large oak tree from a very challenging location in my back yard—about 2 feet from a storage shed, leaning toward house and near neighbors house. No damage to yard, cleaned up afterwards and removed all debris. Polite and professional. Reasonable price.

I have been seeing Dr. Kate for chiropractic care during my pregnancy. I have felt physically amazing during my pregnancy, which I attribute a lot to Dr. Kate’s care and attention. Maybe almost more importantly to me, Dr. Kate has been the first doctor in my life who has made me feel empowered and makes me feel like my body is healthy and strong. She is so incredibly encouraging and insightful, and I look forward to the 10 minutes I get to spend with her every week. I would recommend this practice to literally everyone, and will be bringing my baby here as a patient when he is born as well. I can’t say nicer things about this amazing practice! The entire staff is fantastic and I will only be using them for chiropractic care from now on!

I have a lifetime of trauma on my spine, and it is my 100% belief that Dr. Tiffany is going to be the one who gets me feeling better. She is attentive, funny, kind, engaged, involved, knowledgeable and listens to e.v.e.r.y. word I say - which can be challenging. She is great! Jordan at the front desk is nice and accommodating. AND it is sooo clean! I've gone 2 times but so far it is amazing!

Nothing short of a miracle for me . After years of suffering from knee pain .I saw a preview of shock wave therapy .I was skeptical because I thought I had tried everything short of knee replacement surgery . After my very first treatment . from Dr. Keith I walked out of his office with like 60percent less pain than I walked in with .after the first week that percentage went up to like 80 to 85percent less pain that i had previously. It's a year later and my knees still feel so much better . I am happy to share my experience that I had at Messamore.I pray that you would have the same results with your visit . Dr. Prater is my go-to chiropractor in the Kalamazoo area. When it comes to chiropractors I am a skeptic, too many make unfounded promises and try to sell you on expensive packages, this is NOT Dr. Prater. Dr. Prater takes an evidence-based approach and not only provided excellent care during my visit, but also equipped me with the tools and knowledge to continue my rehab at home. It may be another few years before I return, but I will always be returning to Dr. Prater's practice when necessary!
Dr. Stull has helped my back over the last several years. I was in chronic pain before I saw him and now I feel great and I’m very active.

Today I went to this place for the first time and I was blown away. Oftentimes time chiropractors don't do manual adjustments, but this guy not only did a manual adjustment but explained everything before and afterward. The facility was really clean, and they had refreshments as well. There is an entire wall of shoe inserts and shoes that have our support which is excellent and very necessary. It was quick, clean and courteous so I liked it.
I have been to a lot of veterinarian clinics over the course of my life and this one is clean, welcoming, and everyone is kind. The energy is very positive and my dog is happy and healthy. Thank you.

After several phone call to get my sick dog into a new vet (mine left the practice) I was giving up hope someone would help get him in. The receptionist, Tina was the first person I spoke to who actually offered help right away and suggestions. I was luckily able to get in the same week. I had amazing service by everyone that helped him and the vet (owner) couldn't have been better. Everyone was supportive and made my very stressful week easier. This small business is definitely impressive! I will be returning here for all my vet needs and highly recommending them to everyone.

My dog had a lump on his leg that we were 'watching.' It started to grow and the vet said he did not believe it was a lipoma and it had to go now. We scheduled surgery, three weeks later or so the lump was removed and biopsied. It came back as a low grade sarcoma, rare in dogs. The vet gave the news in the best way possible, honest but hopeful. The tumor may not grow back. It may grow back. If it does, we will have to make a serious decision about his leg. My dog is middle age, not old but definitely not a young dog. The vet gave me a lot of hope that IF we have to cross that bridge, this is what we would expect and he gave me reassurance about the procedure. He was knowledgeable and kind, and again, Hopeful. If you ever have to receive bad (to really bad) news from a vet, Dr. Buckley would be the one I'd want to get it from. A week before Christmas, I cannot express how much his kindness means. And he was definitely right, that tumor had to go asap.
The cost for the surgery was reasonable, not as low as the previous vet but lower than most operating in the twenty first century. Lol.
My only complaint, there's always something I suppose... I don't like the candle in the waiting room. I have asthma and I don't tolerate strong fragrance in a small area. A great vet experience, candle excluded. :-)
I hope for many more years with this practice under the care of Dr. B.

I was nervous to have my first professional massage. I don't like strangers touching me, but being in the dental field a massage was well over due. The Health Spot was highly recommended by 2 friends, so decided to give it a try. From the inital contact and the entire scheduling process everything was wonderful. I was even allowed to reschedule because of the recent blizzard. Once i arrived for my appointment Tammy greeting me outside as I got out my car. She was very welcoming and kind. I started to feel less nervous within the first 5 minutes. I enjoyed my massage she explained the entire process with me. She made me feel amazing. I highly recommend her. I recommend Athletico highly. I went there for a problem with my lower back, and after two months of therapy the problem has been 90% resolved. My therapist (Karri Porco) was very knowledgeable and professional. You could tell she was genuinely concerned about getting me better. The therapy sessions and the in-home exercises did that. Athletico emphasizes the importance of doing the assigned exercises and provides follow up to make sure you do.
Beyond the positive results, it was a pleasure to attend my therapy sessions. Karri was personable and easy to work with. I should also mention the office staff (Denise), who is welcoming and pleasant each time I have come for sessions.
I finished my therapy but made friends with them along the way.
Dr. Keesha was a great listener, provided a thorough exam, and incorporated holistic practices and exercises to help my specific needs. The office space is very clean, cute and quaint.
