“This is an excellent place to go for care. EVERYONE!! The front desk, side desk and doctor are exceptionally nice!!! They were all amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, kind and show they really care. I was having a bad day and in desperate need to see a neurologist. My appt was scheduled same day. From the time I walked in until the time I walked out the staff was awesome. Due to my condition, I got emotional at the check out desk and the 2 young ladies there were so comforting and uplifting, one even got up and brought me some water. They made me feel so much better. This was my 1st visit therefore it took approx 90 mins or less due to the new patient forms and evaluation. I am so pleased with the service that I look for to my follow up on August 14th. “I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding care I received during my recent visit to GBMC. I arrived at the Emergency Room on the morning of Monday, July 14, 2025, after experiencing severe, nausea, and difficulty walking without nearly falling. From the very first GBMC staff member I encountered through to my discharge on July 16, 2025, every person I interacted with was professional, compassionate, and attentive. The team on Unit 45 was exceptional. Their care and kindness helped make a difficult time much easier, and I want to extend a special thank you to the physical therapist, who played a crucial role in helping me begin to recover from the effects of vertigo. I was especially impressed by the new discharge room, which made the transition home much more comfortable. The heated and massage chairs were a wonderful touch, and being able to have something to eat while waiting for my ride was greatly appreciated. This experience only reinforced what I already knew—GBMC is an excellent hospital. All three of my children were born at GBMC, so this place already holds a special meaning to me. I also want to compliment the food, which was truly above average—especially compared to what I’ve experienced at other hospitals and medical facilities. While I still have some recovery ahead of me, I wanted to share my appreciation and recognize everyone who contributed to my care. Thank you all for your professionalism, compassion, and dedication. “My daughter was born with Cornelia De Lange syndrome. She was 37 years old. On 2-12-2024, She was brought in by Ambulance. She suffered a severe trauma to the right side of her Brain. She had 3 separate bleeds on her Brain. She also suffered a Heart attack while they were trying to incubate her. Her heart stopped for 10 minutes. They managed to bring her back, but she was in a coma and on Life support.My husband and I immediately flew to Baltimore to be with her. The ICU Nurses were All very kind and compassionate. Dr. DeBoer was extremely patient and explained everything to me in a kind and compassionate manner. My beautiful little girl passed away on 3-1-2024. My husband and I are heartbroken. She was only 37 years old. I just wanted to say that at the hardest time of my life, it truly helped to have a kind Doctor and Nursing Staff.“

“I had a really good pre-op appointment at this location on 2/12. I've been fairly impressed with the University of MD facilities thus far, and this place was no different...well, perhaps it was more confusing to navigate than some of the others, but no big deal. It's very clean in there, at least the first and fourth floors were. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The nurse who did my pre-op was nice AND efficient, which is one of the best combos IMO. Her examination of me was top notch. Before I knew it, she was sending me down to the lab for bloodwork. This is where my confusion set it. There's no "Lab" listed on any sign and no one I asked knew where the lab was. Come to find out the "Lab" is "Blood Collection". You definitely have to know what you're looking for. There's also no real area to check-in in the blood collection area. It was odd. Otherwise, good visit and I'll be back in a few weeks for my surgery. Until then!“
